Deal sea front still retains the old Victorian seaside features. The people are a credit to their community - always welcoming polite and friendly. Beautiful shingle beaches with steep shelving, so maybe not one for the little ones if they want a day by the sea making sand castles. Fantastic fish and chip shops on the sea front but the best chippy imo is the Golden Grill. Lovely pier and loads of places to explore.

Deal waterfront has a dog ban from 9 each morning so early morning walks are full of dog walkers. There is a lot of things to do in the summer. They have free history tours, the Time ball Tower and restaurants and pubs. At night you can see the lights of Calais. The pier is full of fisher folk, walkers and there is a tearoom. For a quiet holiday its a good spot.

Pebble beach but beautiful on a warm sunny day โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ Plenty of places to sit and watch the world go by and few shops to browse plus Deal Castle to wander around. Lovely place. โ˜บ๏ธ

I came here yesterday, after a 40 year absence, and was really surprised as to how Deal has flourished since my departure. It has become gentrified and many of the properties fronting the beach are pleasing on the eye. The steeply shelving, shingle beach, with fishing boats winched above the tideline is really attractive and unusual.

Perfect for ambling, strolling, walking, getting your steps in. Flat path that covers the distance from Sandown to Kingsdown passing Deal and Walmer on the way. There's plenty to see, from the ships and boats in the Channel to the architecture of the local buildings. There's also lots of places to stop for a rest from the numerous memorial benches to the local cafรฉs and pubs if you fancy a cuppa or something stronger. It can get busy especially st the weekend but it's still worth a visit no matter whether you choose a short or long walk.

A pretty Seafront with very few people on a Wednesday in August. Pebble beach with a steep run into the water so be careful. Very pretty Seafront buildings and a nice, if not particularly pretty, pier.

Lovely seaside town. Not a tourist hotspot, so very local and relaxed. Lovely cafรฉs and a great fish and chips restaurant on the beach front. Nice beach and pier. Lovely afternoon by the sea.

๐Ÿ‘ Long and narrow concrete pier. Not the nicest piers going but still offers unique views of the coastline. There is a restaurant at the end of the pier and a kiosk at the entrance. The pier is a popular spot for fishermen who fish along both sides virtually the whole way along.
