Both my sister and I are beyond delighted with the transformation of our late mother's diamond and platinum engagement and wedding rings into two stunning pendants which will be much treasured. Gavin and Lorraine guided us through the stages of design and conversion with patience, sensitivity and professionalism and we felt complete confidence in them both. Gavin is an extremely talented jeweller and he and Lorraine are an amazing team who could not have been more friendly and helpful. What a find Gavin and Lorraine are. My husband had been looking for an unusual signet ring for some time, so when we found one at a boot market we were so happy, but it needed some work. I met Gavin and Lorraine through my network and we went to see them with the ring to see what they could do. We discussed what we would like, they told us what was possible and the result is better than we could ever have imagined. The service from start to finish was outstanding and Gavin's attention to detail and eye for design is like I have never seen before. When we picked the ring up my husband was speechless (a rare event) and he now has a ring that he can wear and it also has meaning. We went to The Diamond Setter to buy my wedding ring and I’m absolutely thrilled with it. Lorraine & Gavin gave us such a lovely experience and my custom made ring is perfect. I was able to try on lots of different options and they talked through what worked best for our budget. When I went to collect it was all packaged beautifully, along with a bottle of bubbly. The location at Salomons estate made it feel extra special. I highly recommend & will definitely be back for any of my jewellery needs!

We had the BEST experience with Lorraine & Gavin. They made designing our wedding rings a dream. Super friendly, super helpful and just a dream team. Gavin was happy to incorporate our grandparent's wedding ring into our own which made it super special. We have recommended the diamond setter to all our family and friends. My mother inlaw also used them to make a beautiful ring from two damaged pieces of sentimental jewelry on our suggestion and has already booked in to use them again! I recently met with Lorraine and Gavin to get my engagement ring re-set. The whole process and experience was wonderful, not only are they lovely to work with but I am thrilled with the result. Can’t recommend them highly enough!

Gavin and Lorraine have just completely remade my antique engagement ring which has huge sentimental value. After many years of wear, the shank had completely worn away and the diamonds were becoming loose and worn. I was told by one jeweller it wasn’t possible to repair and another said they’d do it but quoted me a four figure sum. Luckily I was recommended The Diamond Setter. After a meeting with both Gavin and Lorraine, I was reassured that it was indeed possible to repair. Instead of a quick fix, Gavin melted it down and made me a new ring using the same metal and diamonds. I am completely blown away by it and it looks exactly the same but is more solid and stones much more secure. Not only do I have a beautiful finished ring, but the cost was 1/3 what I was quoted by a local jeweller for a ‘repair’. I cannot recommend them highly enough and will definitely be using them in the future.

I was beyond delighted with the repairs Gavin made to my antique rings. They are of huge sentimental value and the repairs were amazing. I never thought the rings could look that good! Gavin and Lorraine are lovely people too. I would have no hesitation in recommending the diamond setter.

Gavin reset my diamond necklace and earrings into yellow gold from white, as I have allergies to white gold. He recreated the same setting perfectly. Honestly, I just couldn’t believe how they looked exactly the same and so beautiful. Perfect service also from Lorraine, just so kind and helpful. Couldn’t recommend them more highly! Amazing! None of the Jewelers in Kent had the engagement ring I had in mind, so I turned to the Diamond Setter to help me design and create a bespoke engagement ring from scratch. Very attentive and professional with a wide variety of options to choose from. I'm very happy with the overall process as the ring was created in a timely manner. My now fiancé is obsessed with the ring!

A truly wonderful bespoke experience. I wanted to add an oval diamond to my wife's engagement ring as a push/anniversary present. Lorraine was very helpful in sourcing the right diamond and was so understanding of my request. I couldn't have asked for the finished item to be more perfect, and my wife was ecstatic. Would highly recommend Lorraine and Gavin. My rings needed resizing and they took great care in making sure it was all perfect! They looked at my hands and sized up the rings beautifully. I'm now able to wear them again, they are comfortable and the cut is barely visible. Highly completive pricing too. All in all a very happy customer.

I first came upon Gavin and Lorraine by chance and brought some old broken jewellery to be repaired . While I was there I mentioned a ring which I would like remodelling as it was far too high set to wear everyday and although was pretty it just lived in the safe which was such a shame .I wanted a smaller ring and some drop earrings to be made using the diamonds and adding some rubies . They were so helpful and came up with some great ideas . I picked up my re modelled ring and earrings today and I am absolutely thrilled . They look so beautiful. I had a half eternity ring that was 14 years old, a beautiful ring but chunky and in need of a little updating. I went to see Gavin and I drew what I would like in a ring. He designed and reset my diamonds as a flower on a dress ring. Wow! It’s beautiful I can’t stop admiring it! Wow, what can I say truly stunning. I have just picked up my rings that I took to Gavin and Lorraine to be remodelled. I had one design in mind and half a picture of another, they managed to find a picture of the whole ring and talked me through how it was shaped and where the stones would be set. I now have 2 bespoke absolutely beautiful rings to enjoy. An eternity ring that was my Granny’s, engagement ring that was my Mums ( both have sadly passed away) and some jewellery that I had at home not doing anything in the drawer ! The diamond setter have been outstanding. From squeezing us in with only a few weeks to spare before our wedding, and listening to what we want in order to create our wedding rings I can not fault a single second. Lorraine kept us up to date with what was happening with the rings and persevered with the personal engraving when the pics I sent of our handwriting weren’t working. Picking up our rings was so exciting and they were perfect. Their jewellery is lovely and my partner (now husband) treated me to a beautiful pair of sapphire earrings. We were looking for a designer to make a bespoke engagement ring and wedding ring. We found The Diamond Setter through a local newsletter. From first contact, both Lorraine and Gavin were incredibly helpful. In our first meeting they helped us develop our vague ideas into something more concrete. They took time to talk us through each decision and step of the process. Throughout they were so accommodating in adjusting the designs until we were completely happy. Whilst we were designing the pieces, we were given some inherited jewellery and hoped to incorporate these into the design. Gavin and Lorraine met with us again and helped us to understand the age and quality of the pieces and how these could be used within our ideas. Gavin also helped us to understand the different pieces and how they would look together. We were keen to keep the original hallmarks on the wedding ring even though we wanted it made thinner. We were also able to turn two additional rubies into earrings. The final pieces were better than we could have expected. The old Victorian diamond had been completely transformed in the new setting and the hallmarks on the wedding ring were preserved completely. Both Gavin and Lorraine made the experience enjoyable for us throughout and we couldn’t be happier with the final pieces. We would definitely recommend them to others and hope to use them again in the future.
