Amazing staff halted by a terrible owner with a napoleon complex, do not ever expect a refund even if you’re sold a dying baby bearded dragon, had to put up with just store credit after burying my poor girl. Edit; The response by the owner is completely infactual and is proof of the awful manipulation of this man, we have reciepts, screenshots, recordings and so much more showing the exact times of purchase, she died nine days after purchase, and this terrible lie is clear evidence of how emotionally manipulative this man is, he came down the stairs as we came in, and started with extreme condecension, the only people who went above and beyond were the staff - the owner is a bully. Our baby died 9 days after purchase. ReEdit; We offered to show a body straight away when he confronted us via video call to those of my family who were home as we hadn't buried her at that time, but were told that it isn't necessary.

Bought a figure 8 puffer fish who’s beak was so overgrown he couldn’t open/close his mouth or eat whatsoever. When contacting the store they initially made it seem as though it was the animals responsibility to grind the beak down by eating snails however they’ve now agreed that they should’ve intervened and trimmed it themselves much sooner as it would take months for a beak to get to this stage. Please make sure to check the fish/animals you buy from them before leaving the premises!🐡

absolutely appalling behaviour from the owner of pelagic aquatics; lying in a response to a review posted by my partner to suit his own. our baby bearded dragon died 9 days after purchase. andrew was belittling and extremely rude to myself and my boyfriend regarding the issue, refusing a refund and offering us another dragon or store credit. we have proof of receipts, bank transactions, messages on facebook and the real life encounter between us and andrew himself to provide evidence of his awful customer service and lack of regard for welfare of these animals. he even stated that it wasn’t due to any fault of our that she died, going against his response of us being “abusers”. never, ever buy an animal from this place!

Spoke to Will today to help me and my girlfriend set up our turtle tank after some questionable advice from elsewhwere. Thanks to Will and his extensive knowledge we were able to get all the equipment and treatment needed to start and for an affordable price. Very helpful and friendly, I would highly recommend this shop for anyone looking to start keeping fish or reptiles

Been visiting Pelagic Aquatics for many years, lovely friendly staff, animals are always looked after well and nice clean enclosures, the guys are extremely knowledgeable. Great Place! Yet to try the new coffee shop though.

Very impressive collection of fresh water, tropical and salt water marine fish. Mostly tropical, but all tastes catered for. The staff were very friendly. We bought some tetras for our nano tank. The show room of everything aquarium related is large and they have a good stock of products and accessories to peruse. The reptile section was also very impressive. Although I am not a reptile hobbyist (yet), so I cannot comment much on that. I say yet as looking at the collection on show it does make you wonder if you could add a reptile to your very own per collection.

Competent and helpful staff. Lot of live fishes and reptiles to choice. Big choice of different food and accessories. It's a small ZOO if you're only want to watch. And from some point delicious café and cake. Strongly recommend

A lovely place, I've been here a few times before and was impressed again this morning. Thank you for the suggestion to help my green pond water. 2 hours later the water is already much clearer and my fish are very happy. Super service as well helping me carry everything to my car.

I am very disappointed after visiting here. i decided to drive the hour as i read all the reviews which states the shop is amazing. after arriving i looked at the rose quartz rocks for aquariums and picked up a piece that was labelled £7.65. i took this to the till and the young man said that it can’t be right and asked his manager who said to charge by the kilo and not by the price that was on the rock. as a first time customer i am quite disappointed as i then had to pay an extra £5 for this rock and i feel they should of honoured it and in future check that their items are labelled up properly! i will not be returning to this store as there was a lot of dead fish in their tanks, including an angelfish, 3 corydoras and a clown loach. avoid like the plague!

This is the only place I would go to buy fish for our Aquarium, the staff are so helpful and knowledgeable and the range of fish is impressive.

Honestly can't rate this place high enough. Having been to our fair share of aquatic shops this one 100% trumps them all. The staff are so so knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and non judgemental. They have a great variety of stock and are always so happy to help. Wouldn't go anywhere else now!

I travelled across all of Kent to buy my little Squidge the axolotl from here due to their bigger selection. As a first time axolotl owner they helped me loads, even after I brought Squidge back to Margate and had an issue a few days later, I phoned in about it and they gave me even more great advice even though I'll struggle to ever make the trip back, they offered me loads of support for Squidge. (I want to come back and always buy from here but its too far for me sadly) I'll always appreciate the support they offer me, here's little Squidge being happy :) Can't recommend enough getting your own pet from this store

I have been visiting Pelagic Aquatics for a number of years now and have always been given excellent customer service, support and knowledge on all things fish and reptile related. Andrew and his Team (Will and Alex amongst others) are always so friendly and positive in their approach. Their animals and feeders are always fit and healthy, with an excellent range of stock to suit your animal needs. The recently opened cafe is also another great reason to visit. I visit here for work reasons it's a really nice place also more of a destination as it has a cafe with great views. I always grab a tea when I'm passing staff are really nice well worth a visit.

Great little aquatics shop that have a great range of reptiles, fish and equipment. Staff are knowledgeable and I bought my corn snake from here, very helpful with what I needed etc.

Amazing staff with lots of knowledge and background in aquatic, reptile keeping so it’s the perfect place to get your hands on some amazing products, animals, fed wither it be frozen or live fed for reptiles or food for your fish. They have an amazing range of fish tanks and pond equipment, to not mention the beginner set ups to full vivarium/terrariums. I’ve been a customer for the past 15+ years and have never been let down! Not to mention new addition of the cafe on site which survives amazing quality food at quality prices, with an beautiful view of the apple orchards with onsite dining with the available options to enjoy the eating inside or out on the deck over looking the farmland, with fully functional w/c which is always kept clean to the highest of standards. This is why I’ll always go back to pelagic aquatics 10/10 always recommended to all my friends and family who also love the the services and the staff and this family run store! 👌

This is a superb aquatic store. I live just up the road and have been visiting for years. I have recently switched from a tropical tank to cold water and although I had not been down to the store for a long time for various work related reasons- working away etc, the staff immediately recognised me with their usual friendly welcome. I bought 2 orandas who are beautiful and very healthy. The range and quality of all the animals here is exceptional. They also stock every accesory that you could possibly need for both your fish or reptiles. Interesting selection of water features and pond materials too plus a cafe. I doubt you will find better across Kent or Sussex. Well done Pelagic!

One of the best aquarium stores I've visited. Huge range of products from tanks to pond fish as well as reptile stuff too. Fully recommend to anyone remotely interested in the hobby. The staff were great too and extremely helpful, thank you and I only wish I could visit more often! :)
