Apple Acres is a peaceful adults only campsite, on the northern outskirts of Royal Tunbridge Wells. As the name suggests, it is set in an attractive apple orchard (apparently, visitors can help themselves to whatever fruit they want in season). There is also a wide open field with expansive views over the Kent countryside. I believe there are only ten caravan and motorhome pitches, all with hard standing and electric hook-up available. Additionally, tent campers can pitch up on the field. Apple Acres is located well away from the main road, and the only sounds we heard were the birds, and a very occasional distant tooting of a train. It is a good spot for observing wildlife and also the night sky. The showers were unavailable because of Covid-19 restrictions (we were advised at the time of booking) but a single WC and a single wash basin were available in each of the ladies and gents sections of the facilities block. The facilities generally are old but perfectly functional. It is worth noting, there is a severe speed bump close to the site access gate when approaching the campsite from the access lane.

Lovely site with large pitches, easy to find and a very friendly welcome on arrival. Great location for sightseeing too, Tonbridge and it's fascinating castle only are a few minutes drive away as is Royal Tunbridge Wells, the older area of Pantiles is well worth a visit.

Every 2 weeks there is a bootfair here, the Mabledon Bootfair. This is the only bootfair that I know of locally to Tonbridge and Sevenoaks. It is always surprising what you find for sale; all those things that you never knew you wanted and yet you come home with them. I highly recommend a visit to this great bootfair. Google Mabledon Farm for dates and details. You can camp here too.

Had a lovely short break here. The welcome was friendly and the site was small, tidy and well managed. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful site and very quiet. Shower block facilities could be improved but perfectly usable. Will return.

Super friendly owners, beautiful setting, pitches huge although levelling blocks are needed, loos spotless. Dog friendly and best of all, adults only. So many fab places to visit within 30 mins. This is our third visit and we'll be back.

Just left after 6 nights at this well maintained and lovely site. Only intended to stay 3 nights but on arrival decided that wasnโ€™t going to be enough. Showers and toilets clean as is the washing up facility. In a good location for lots of sightseeing opportunities. We will definitely be returning. Thank you Robert and Bernie.

Absolutely wonderful site. I'm a bit loathe to write such a good review as I don't want it to be fully booked next time we come! Lovely owners, lovely site, lovely facilities. What a brilliant weekend we've had. Can't wait to return. Thank you very much .

We have just returned from Apple Acres camping site in Tonbridge, Kent. A lovely little site that has 10 hard standing pitches and grass pitches for tents. The toilet and shower block with 2 cubicles and 2 showers in the ladies is basic, but kept very clean. The same in the men's loos. There are no grocery shops nearby, so make sure you have your essentials first. However there are buses that run into Tunbridge Wells and Tonbride every 10 minutes or so. The bus stop is about a 20 minute walk either way. The Vauxhall Pub is a 25 minute walk turning right out of the site through lovely countryside. It offers lovely food and a good selection of wine and beers. The road that leads down to and away from the site goes through a boot fair on occassional Sunday, but it's no problem. The whole site is accessible making it ideal for anyone with physical restrictions. We wished we could have stayed longer as it was very relaxing and peaceful. We will definitely return ๐Ÿ˜Š

We have just returned from a three night stay at Apple Acres. What a beautiful site. Lovely big hard standing pitch. Very well kept grass areas. Lots of apple trees (thanks for the apples, made a nice crumble), and also nice to see oak trees. Clean toilets and showers. No complaints about any of the facilities. Love the fact that you rescued and rebuilt the toilet block. No pesky kids either. Other reviewers have complained about road noise and aeroplane noise. Road noise is negligible, and yes aircraft do take off and land at Gatwick, but personally, I like to see aeroplanes (still point up at them like a kid), and the noise is again negligible. Nothing to keep you awake at night. It is a dark site, great for observing the night sky, bring a torch. Dogs welcome. Metered 10 amp electric. We ran a TV, the fridge and the lights for about ยฃ2 a night. We loved it. For us it was perfect. Donโ€™t change anything. We will return.

Love this Adults only campsite. Its quiet, its peaceful, its beautiful. You are parked in an orchard, what could be more satisfying. There are also goats to see. Toilet and shower block always very clean. Hardly any road noise, well it didn't bother us anyway. This is our second time here and we love it. Metered electric usage, however the owner has reduced his prices to reflec this, so in actual fact it was cheaper per night this year (August 2023) than last year. We will defo be back next year as we like to visit relatives here.

I was so impressed with this campsite. Great location and bathroom/shower facilities/ wash up area, had a homely feel and were immaculately clean. Owners were friendly and helpful and the campsite was lovely and peaceful. Could pitch up where you liked in the camping area. Highly recommend.

A small adult only site just a mile from tonbridge 4 miles from tunbridge wells. The walk is along some super busy roads. We managed to find a route along the river into tonbridge which was nice but turned into an 8 mile job. Bus service from the end of the drive to both places. The site is adult only accommodating caravans motorhomes and tents. Itโ€™s not particularly well kept the pitches could be tended better. The shower block is dated but functional and clean. The shower door didnโ€™t shut so the floor was flooded and slippery but not really an issue. A short walk to a recommended pub but the food was just awful and expensive.
