The staff appear to be mute in this store! I went into the women's section but could find noone to help me so I went back down the stairs. I saw a girl and boy chatting so I smiled and attracted their attention but they carried on talking. Eventually the girl came up the stairs toward me and just stood in front of without uttering a word. I asked her for my size in the shoes, smiling and being really polite, and she just walked past me and disappeared into the stock room so I sat down. I wasn't really sure at this point if she was serving me. Finally she returned but she just put the box next to me and walked off, again without saying a word! I then took the box of shoes to the check out and the girl on there only spoke to say how much. I have never felt so unwelcome and awkward in a shop before this. It was like being served by a bunch of emotionless robots! The staff are incredibly rude and unhelpful. If they don't like their job I suggest they go find one they do and then perhaps they'll be a little happier.

Untrained and immature "managers" who cannot handle a simpe conversation. Upon returning an item, I advised I was miscommunicated the returns policy and the teenage "manager" seemed uncomfortable in dealing with complaints so told me to never come back. I was utterly taken aback that a normal conversation (no anger, very calm and polite) turned sour by her attitude. She also was too scared to provide her name in case I complained about her appalling attitude. Says it all really. Hire capable managers or at least train the teenagers you leave in charge.

Store layout is standard in all Sports direct shops snd medium sized when compared to Maidstone branch. Store is disproportionately staffed if looking for assistance but the staff are very quick and helpful when required assistance. Located in first floor beside WH Smith. It’s always ideal to check offers in store as you could be lucky to grab a good deal sometimes compared to online prices.

The staff don't seem to be very aware of what they have on their shelves or in their back store room. I asked where I could find a size 3 wide fit trainer and they said they don't carry size 3 - check the juniors section. I saw that they did have size 3 in the women's section, it just wasn't wide fit. In the US, any store clerk would go and check on a computer what they have in stock and go and fetch it for you from their store room if they have it. The lady I asked here gave up almost immediately.

Store layout a lot clearer and tidier than most. Staff always friendly and knowledgeable. I would just advise to avoid peak trading times.

Self service with rude staff! Awful! ..Please may I suggest you go to Stampede, Running Hub in Southborough (free parking for two hours nearby) or Christopher Hull Sport on Mount Pleasant.

When you could find a member of staff, they were very friendly and helpful.

Be prepared to spend half your day waiting at the checkout as there’s no staff available

I bought a small gift for a friend today at the Tunbridge wells branch of sports direct. I hadn’t even left the store when I realised that I’d bought the wrong item. I went to return it but they refused to refund me. I understand that they have a ‘return for store credit’ systems but it’s really tricky when they don’t have the item you actually needed and you never shop there so don’t want store credit. Learnt my lesson - don’t shop at sports direct.

Great collection of shoes. Courteous staff. Located in Royal Victoria Place. In the town center. Has a great collection of clothing and accessories for men, women and children. Competitive pricing and good quality products.

Went to this store on Good Friday 7th April at 3pm. I came downstairs from the upper level section of where other footwear are kept just to find a staff member, there were 4 of them talking to eachother at the entrance, I had to interrupt their chat as I felt being ignored, I asked one of them about the grey Adidas Falcon womens, he said there isn't any upstairs even though I seen them upstairs, I then said what in size 5?? Showing him on my phone, He said I'm not sure and didn't bother to check and carried on their chat. I wonder if the store manager is keeping checks on them, clearly they just wanna get paid by stacking shelves, talk and go home. Should've gone to Maidstone branch, this twice now in past 6 months that staff members in this don't care about customer service, they just want to float by and get paid for nothing.

It's quite a typical sports shop but overall they have an amazing sortiment of gym-clothing and accesories especially.

Staff here have an awful level of customer service.This was the second time I have visited and they absolutely have no clue of what products they have or not have in stock.Rubbish customer service

Worked out as one staff on the till yet three in store. Huge ques at 10:40 on a Sunday. Never enough staff. Spoke to staff member but still didn't want to take my money, the clip board was more important. Also poor returns policy. Read before buying.
