Great food, relaxing atmosphere! Reminds me of Italy. Hard to find a restaurant in such quality in the neighbour area. Well done to the owner Matteo for his warm welcome and hospitality.

Without a doubt my favourite restaurant in Tunbridge Wells. Have just come back from Lake Como itself and the food here is on par if not better. What did Tunbridge Wells do to deserve this little delight? I ALWAYS have the linguine with mixed seafood but on this particular visit nduja strozzapreti, parpadelle lamb, Tuscan sausage and roast lamb were all a hit with the family. The roast potatoes are a MUST. I never order deserts in a restaurant but when I saw the desert menu here I could not resist and we just had to try a selection. Everything was delicious. The staff are also absolutely wonderful - nothing is too much for them and they serve everything with a smile and lots of jokes. This is a must try if you haven't been already!!!!!

After months of waiting to dine at Lago the opportunity finally arrived yesterday and it was certainly worth the wait. Matteo who is the owner and host recommended a few dishes to us which we both thoroughly enjoyed. The quality of the food was superb and being a foodie you can tell that the ingredients used are some of the best and more importantly fresh! We had the squid ink linguine with lobster tail, spicy king prawn with cannellini beans, truffle infused Parma ham with burrata, the 5 hour braised lamb and then followed those with the tiramisu and their Torta del Nonno. Their wine menu was also very extensive catering for many palettes, preferences and budgets. We enjoyed a wonderful Brunello di Montalcino 2015 from La Palazzetta but for those who love a Tuscan they do have Tignanello 2018 on the menu. We are looking forward to returning and sharing more great moments. 5/5

LagodiComo Bar and Restaurant is a charming Italian restaurant located in the heart of Tunbridge Wells. The restaurant offers a wide variety of traditional Italian dishes, as well as a varied selection of mains and pastas. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the service is friendly and attentive. The service at LagodiComo was excellent. The owner Mayteo was very knowledgeable about the menu, and he made some great recommendations. He also made sure that my water glass were always full, and he checked in regularly to make sure that I was enjoying my meal. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience at LagodiComo. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great Italian meal.

This is one the hidden gems in Royal Tunbridge Wells. The homemade focaccia and pistachio tortini dessert are the best I’ve ever tried and highly recommended. The mains and drinks are good too however the standout is the customer service. I made a special request before booking and the whole team went above and beyond to fulfil it and despite being very busy they were very accommodating and generous when I ran a little. I’d definitely give more than 5 stars if there is an option. Highly recommended place

I came here after work with a pasta craving and left having had one of the best dining experiences of my life. Everything about this place is wonderful. The greeting from the owner as I arrived, the food, the wine, the service, the presentation of every single thing about the restaurant is perfect. The owner of this restaurant is charming and friendly and you can just tell that he loves everything about what he does here. Thankyou so much and well done on what you have achieved here.

Wow, this is such a wonderful find. The sumptuous decor, the friendly staff and the delicious food made for a wonderful lunchtime experience. My only problem was that I ate so well, part of me just wanted to curl up and have an afternoon nap afterwards. On arrival we were greeted with gusto, a really warm Italian welcome. We were shown to a lovely window by the window where the sun was streaming in. We had little packs of breadsticks by our pristine white cloth napkins and our gleaming cutlery, which we nibbled on as we ordered our drinks. The juices were those lovely glass bottles and the youngster in the group enjoyed the carrot, orange and lemon juice poured over ice with an eco friendly paper straw. My partner had an alcohol free Peroni and I had a crodino, which I hadn't tried before, but was like an adult Irn-Bru with some lovely bitters and I loved it - a non alcoholic Italian aperitif, which was just right on a sunny day. For main courses, the youngster had spaghetti a meatballs and ate everything up with a wonderful orange smear left around her mouth by the time she had finished. I had the slow-cooked lamb in chianti and my partner had the veal escalopes in a Grand Marnier sauce with flaked almonds. Both dishes came woth roasted vine tomatoes and green beans and we also opted to share some roast potatoes between us. By the end our plates were clean and we were stuffed......but then the dessert menu arrived! Everything looked great, but a scoop of salted caramel ice-cream was ordered for the little one and the spiced dark chocolate mousse for the two of grown ups to share. We could not fault anything with the food or service and we will be back again to enjoy the evening ambience very soon!

As a very authentic Italian feel an amazingly friendly and thought. Quick service. The pasta dishes were amazing and tasty however, the lasagne I felt could be fresher. The selection of wines on offer, it’s fantastic

This place is lovely. If you want to have a romantic night out or share an evening with friends this is the place to visit. The staff make sure that your experience is perfect. Matteo is absolutely delightful and charming. Nothing is too much! Dining there in summertime is a must as the restaurant has the ability to use its candle lit terrace, which also has heaters, British summer!! We’ve never ordered takeaway so can’t rate that, but who needs takeaway when dining in can be so good!!

Lovely food, albeit found the truffle oil fries a bit sickly. Everything else was extremely tasty, and the service was very good.

What a find. We unexpectedly ended up in Royal Tunbridge Wells on a Thursday night and stumbled across this buzzing, full Italian restaurant. Amber glow through the window, customers laughing, eating and drinking - we had to be part of this vibe. The host waitress was charming and gave us their last table upstairs ( a table for 5 but immediately cleared to accommodate the 2 of us) we had one of the best nights for a long time. We sampled some delicious and well executed dishes, plenty of good red wine, cosy comfortable surroundings ( we were the last to leave 😬) and excellent service. Our upstairs waitress ( with the marathon running boyfriend) was first rate and an absolute joy. We met the charming owner, born and bred in Lake Como. He runs a happy tight ship and we wish them all well.

Had dinner here on Saturday night, really good quality Italian food. I had Burrata to start, try the Papardelle Lamb pasta, £16 , busy but good service. We will be back!

The food was excellent and the staff were fantastic. I have food intolerances that affect me badly, and the chef even came down to make sure the food was right for me and suggested some delicious Italian sausages and beans that I really enjoyed and didn't cause me any problems. Top marks! Thanks 🇮🇹 ❤️

I’m my opinion, the best Italian restaurant in the area by far. The owner is hands on and always there overseeing everything - so everything is always top class. + Fantastic, friendly service + Delicious, freshly cooked food + Great wine list + Wonderful atmosphere + Good value for money Recommendations ❤️ - Homemade focaccia (this is to die for!) - Lamb pappardelle ragout (our favourite!) All pasta dishes are simply amazing, you will not be disappointed! If you haven’t been, you need to book a table! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you Matteo and the whole team!

Loved it. We visited midweek so the restaurant wasn't too busy! Serving staff and the kitchen were accommodating to our requests and the food was fresh and hot, especially the dish of 'seasonal greens.' My only slight disappointment was with the desserts, but that's partly my fault with being fussy. The outside patio area looked good with the coloured lights on but it was a little too chilly to sit there. However if you arrive early I'd recommend you give it a try with your drinks from the bar.

We had lunch at Lago and enjoyed a wonderful meal on our Honeymoon. Make sure to order the Focaccia appetizer. It’s made fresh and melts in your mouth. Excellent pasta and great wine selection. I highly recommend you try Lago when in Tunbridge Wells.

Went for our wedding anniversary on a Tuesday lunchtime, restaurant was quiet but had a pleasant ambiance. The staff were attentive without being too present and the food was delicious! We also had a very nice glass of wine with our meal. I'll definitely be back as I was sad I could not manage a dessert and the selection looked fabulous!
