Guy who services machines was incredibly rude and disparaging about the quality of my sewing machine. Yes, it's not top end but it was a gift to me and I am only starting out so no need to be cruel to someone new to sewing. Gave two stars as the lady serving me at the start had the good grace to be embarrassed by the man's demeanour. I suspect he couldn't be bothered to service my machine given the rate he quoted. This was the Tunbridge Wells branch. The Locksbottom team have always been very kind, helpful and polite.

It was wonderful to be able to visit my favourite sewing shop while visiting family this weekend. The range of fabrics fabrics and haberdashery is better than any other shop I know. It’s well worth popping in: always a friendly welcome & very knowledgable staff. NB open 10 am to 5 pm. Closed on Mondays and Sundays.

What an amazing treasure trove. We went here to find some inspiration for some fancy dress outfits we had to make. Along with this and a few charity shops we went to our secret cinema evening and had a ball. I think the lady in the shop was slightly befuddled by our requests but we will be straight back to World of Sewing if we need to be creative with any more fancy dress outfits in the future.

Wonderful shop. Love the different prints. Some memories here of dolly fabric. Love it. Fabulous staff. Definitely recommend. Keep up the good work.

Good advice and friendly staff. Small pay and display car park nearby on Beech Street so very easy to shop.

Great place to go to if you love sewing they have everything and are so so helpful and so much knowledge can not praise the staff enough it is the only place I go to for all my sewing needs 😍

This shop, as its name suggests caters for sewing needs. I bought fabric, a zip and thread for dressmaking. The staff are knowledgeable and happy to give requested advice both in the shop or by phone. Because of the pandemic I didn't linger there to check out other sewing aids and equipment but it's worth visiting if you're interested in sewing.

Expert friendly advisor, helped me purchase a sewing machine as a Christmas present for my wife. Took trouble to understand what use for the machine and rcommend accordingly. Great that they offer free tuition in their shop. Fast delivery

I've had my Frister Rossman 906 since 1975 and have hammered it so much that eventually it sounded like a machine gun when I tried to use it. Tried a few times to have it looked at without success. After repair and servicing at World of Sewing it now purrs like new. Thank you for saving my old friend.

Wow! Amazing customer service. First time customer and I will be returning again. If they can deliver such a high level of service during difficult times as these I can’t wait to visit their shop for more advice, help and great service. Called me to advise an item was out of stock but suggested alternatives and all within my original range. Dropped off same day by shop staff and told they were on hand anytime if I need any assistance. Local independent with high standards. Definitely shop here for your sewing needs.

I ordered my sewing machine at around 11:30 am and received it at 5:00pm the same day. They were lovely and are still being so efficient despite lockdown. They have a great range of stock available and I am so happy and impressed!
