My sister and I visited The Mount Edgcumbe yesterday for a late lunch. We were seated and served very quickly seeing as we had not made reservations. The food was really tasty and reasonably priced. Mount Edgcumbe is in a beautiful setting and we parked a little way away so we could enjoy a walk there and back. Definitely worth a visit and I will be back for the lovely looking roast dinner next time!!

A tasty lunchtime meal, if a little under seasoned. We sat in the marquee area, which is pleasantly heated. Service was good. Coffee was a little bitter for my taste.

My wife and I got married in Tunbridge Wells this bank holiday weekend. We stayed in suite 2A of the hotel for 3 nights. It was a beautiful, spacious suite and was perfect for the bridal party to get ready in. They even left us a nice bottle of prosecco as a wedding present. Our guests occupied all the other rooms also and they all left as happy as we did with their stay. The staff here were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The food was lovely too. We had the unfortunate luck of breaking down so had to wait a very long time for the RAC to come. However, the Mount Edgcumbe team were more than happy to let us sit around and wait for the best part of the day. Thank you for your hospitality.

Had Xmas roast here and would thoroughly recommend. The service was excellent - they were organised, knew what people were having, and were able to easily make adjustments to changes in our party (we had a lot of people as well). They looked after us really well. And the food was delicious too! Though the stuffing was a bit weird!

Very cosy pub inside with a big covered terrace to the back. Nice & chilled for Happy Hour. Very friendly stuff. They have an interesting selection of craft beers.

Lovely little charismatic pub (as part of a hotel) about 15 minute walk up the hill from Tunbridge Wells train station. Small indoor dining area with a larger covered area out the back with heating above each table. Beautiful wooden chandelier like well spaced flower displays throughout this area, each with its own bird underneath. Comfortable seating area down a step or two on the right as you enter. The Guinness was lovely and the Harvey's Sussex Best was excellent.

Beautiful location. Was seated outside as the weather was lovely. The waiters were around regularly to make sure everyone wad satisfied. Food was great taste wise but the portions were somewhat odd. A colleague of mine ordered Ploughman’s and got a huge platter yet my Haddock and Chips was a fair bit smaller… nothing a desert couldn’t fix though.

We enjoyed a superb post-wedding meal here in June 2023. Every course for everyone was delicious, drinks were great and the service was excellent. The music was even turned off when we were giving our speeches which was especially kind. The setting is pretty, and we were in a gazebo which had clear side panels which were opened when it got warmer, which was all ideal. Highly recommended!

Stylish and clean. Friendly and accomodating staff. Wonderful food. We are coming back again. The summer evening ambiance is magical. Superb breakfast. A touch of spoiling when you come here to stay.

A nice location, sat out in the marquee for Sunday lunch, food was nice starter of glazed pork belly was very good. For mains we all had the roast which was nice if not stunning. Service and staff was very good, our waiter (Mike) was excellent as friendly and helpful as it is possible to be. Would go back and try something else from the menu, unfortunately Mike only works Sundays.

We just popped in on a recent visit for a drink and a small bite to eat. Very nice location. We sat outside. Friendly service and delicious nachos. And fabulous local wine.

Lunch with friends, a very enjoyable experience. Great setting with excellent food and attentive service. We chose to eat outside in the sideless marquee as the weather was warm and sunny and the situation delightful. This was our second visit and won't be our last.

Had a lovely meal here, the food was superb. The staff were very attentive and helpful. My only criticism is that we booked for 16 of us for 4.30pm but had to vacate the table by 7pm, so felt a bit rushed.

Went on a Sunday. Food good, service good initially then they were busy. Dogs everywhere which is not for us so if your not a dog person .. Parking limited but spaces on road nearby. Would revisit..but only if dogs kept out of restaurant. Despite notice re leads several were loose. But if you've got dogs then great. Enjoyed the food.

We just loved the quirkiness of this building and the style in which it was decorated really did match. The room was very comfortable and relaxing and we had a wonderful nights sleep. The staff were all lovely however there were several issues which really shouldn't occur in such a costly establishment. The tea/coffee station was not very well equipped unless you like a range of flavoured teas from around the world. I prefer a good old fashioned cup of tea of which there was only one tea bag. 2 cups provuded but only one saucer and only 2 sugars. Luckily I don't take sugar and my partner only 1 however there should always be enough not to worry about these things. Water left in the kettle and coffee machine is also not acceptable. A fair amount of dust on the TV, bed, window blinds, top of the bath etc. Otherwise, very clean. In the restaurant/bar the chips were overcooked on both of our meals however this appeared standard when looking at other meals. During breakfast, our cooked orders were taken however when delivered, one was completely wrong and the other, cold.

Great hotel. We went for the smaller double room but while the room was compact was very comfortable and well appointed. The room very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom great with a really good shower unit. The breakfast was good but the dinners were delicious. We had family around for dinner at the restaurant on our last and they weren't disappointed. There was a good choice for vegans and gluten free and the staff were friendly, competent, efficient. Definitely recommend and will stay again when next back in Tunbridge Wells.

Went for Sunday lunch whilst visiting friends and was thoroughly impressed. Very reasonably priced for sirloin and they won't shy with the portion. Very well cooked. Loved the addition of roast beetroot with the veg and the cauliflower cheese was well seasoned and not cooked to mush like a lot of places. The staff were polite and friendly and the venue was lovely. Couldn't have asked for a better Sunday lunch experience. Highly recommend.

Sunday roast was excellent. Great portion sizes, good value and delicious food. Recommend the bread and butter pudding if you have room for dessert!

A lovely bottle of wine accompanied the meal . The service was excellent and the staff were very nice . I thoroughly recommend this pub

Very good service from their staff, the food is good but not exceptional. The decor, seating etc is rather nice and welcoming, plenty of comfy armchairs in their 'cave'.

What a gorgeous and unique place! Everything was just wonderful and can't fault it. I stayed for 1 night. The restaurant food was probably some of the best I have eaten. Breakfast was amazing too. The attention to detail was impeccable and staff were friendly and happy. A very well run restaurant and hotel and they deserve every bit of their success and good reviews. Thank you. I will be back, Zoe.x P.S. If getting a taxi, get Walkers Cars and ask for Brian. He's an absolute character and knows all the history of the area.

Really cute hotel with a traditional pub experience when it comes to the interior side of things. Exposed oak beams, antique chairs, cosy bar all led to a nice experience. I didn't eat here - it was a coffee stop as the return back to London had started. Rooms look nice though.

Lovely place. Food was great and service very friendly. We had a little room to ourselves upstairs for a party of 10 - worked really well. Only one tiny niggle... we had to vacate by 10.30 - something to do with residents and breakfast, I think.

A very nice picturesque pub not far from The Spa hotel were me & my husband was staying. They have a good range of food selection even for vegetarians! The price is reasonable and the service was spot on! A little gem in the woods

Sharing dishes are excellent in this relaxed, well presented and child friendly venue. We had a great meal as a group of 10 and couldn't have been looked after better. Thanks Team. Dr Christopher James Heaton

Thoroughly enjoyed our night away in this 6 bedroom quirky boutique hotel. We stayed in Room 1 which had a beautiful roll top bath in the corner of the bedroom aswell as a shower in the bathroom. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious and nicely presented. Friendly staff and excellent customer service. Would highly recommend

Great Place I highly recommend The Mount Edgcumbe. We were a large group and everyone was very happy with the food and service - especially our waitstaff, Lilly, who looked after the group tremendously well!

So happy we chose to come here for our Sunday roast to celebrate my sons birthday. We were sat at a really nice table in the marquee which is a lovely place to eat and warm too. All the team were super helpful and friendly and the food was delicious. I went for the nut roast.. the Yorkshire puddings are quite special 😋

Superb Sunday roast. Good range of beers, nice setting. You'd do well to find better on a Sunday in Tunbridge Wells.

Varied menu with lots of choice - vegetarian, fish, meat starters and mains plus sharing platters. Nice touch that you can have some of the starters as mains too. Food was good, big portions, well presented. Set in lovely surroundings and friendly staff. A little pricier than other places and parking can be a challenge although you can usually find somewhere to park on the road.

A magical private hotel with so much character in both the wonderful bedrooms, oh so comfy beds and quirky bar and restaurant. Great breakfast! It has its own free car park for guests and is within an easy walk of Tunbridge Wells High Street.

Have been here many times. This Sunday took my grandchildren for a Sunday roast. So disappointing, even though the beef was nice (and fairly expensive) the vegetables were very disappointing especially the broccoli which was almost raw, and the gravy was just like Bisto, which ruined the whole meal. It’ll be a long time before we return.

Really nice, quirky little pub/restaurant/hotel. The inside decor is excellent with lots of great features - wall full of clocks or stuffed (soft toys) animal heads, bird houses, eclectic furniture. Food was very good both evening meals and breakfast (perfect poached eggs on the Eggs Benedict). Pub had a great selection of ales and gins, amongst other things. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was wonderful, huge super king bed, shower room and separate bath. Big room with table and chairs and really beautifully decorated. Attention to detail is great. Well located, not far from the Pantiles. Would really recommend a stay - trip advisor rating is well deserved.

Outstanding veggie nachos - like they're made by someone that eats them! Delicious chilli squid deserves a special mention... and the children's portions were a decent size. Overall, the food was fantastic quality (we had starters & mains), and really good service. The staff seemed to genuinely care that everyone (not just our table) was enjoying their meal/drinks. ...and dog friendly... We will definitely be back! Thank you for a lovely meal.
