Lovely, clean, well appointed rooms. The owner could not have been more helpful when welcoming my elderly parents to stay , patiently understanding their needs. Breakfast was delicious too.

Great parking, staff was very friendly, food was delicious, think £16 for burger and chips was a little bit steep but would definitely recommend

Very nice traditional pub restaurant and hotel. Food was brilliant and you will not go hungry with their portion sizes. The four poster room was superb and the shower was very warm and powerful. Highly recommend.

Dirty rooms, had not been properly cleaned in decades. Reasonable breakfast but a little abstemious. Poor service. We wouldn't stay here again.

Really good. I hadn't had liver and bacon for years and am always sceptical about the quality of the liver. Top quality liver and bacon just the way I asked for it to be done. Italian profiteroles? Best ever. Well worth a visit if you get the chance. September 2023, chicken fajitas this time. Lush!

Love the different areas and little nooks in this establishment. The carvery was delicious, meat was perfect. Service from Management team and the youngest staff fabulous but the others let it down a bit.. it is a busy place on a Sunday afternoon but they shouldn't be quite so miserable with their Customers.

Location very good. Plenty of parking. The staff were all very cheerful and helpful. Food was very good and there was a good selection of drinks. The bar had a nice cosy feel about it although it was a little cluttered and outdated. The room was adequate, however, it needs updating. The bed was very uncomfortable and only one very flat pillow was provided. The shower was very good. The room was generally a bit grubby in places and needs deep clean. Overall we did enjoy our stay but would probably not go back.

The Camden Arms kindly hosted my parents Golden Wedding Anniversary for a carvery on today (Sunday). They were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The food was delicious, the staff friendly and helpful. I had suggested the venue as I’d eaten in the restaurant earlier this year and was impressed. Highly recommend.

Arrived Monday afternoon to see the owners getting merrily drunk with the locals. Was shown to our room. (Cost £170) and immediately put the storage heater on to warm the place up. Top of 4 poster bed had a thick film of dust and toilet brush was stuck to the rusted bucket it sat inside. Bed covered in stains. And carpet similar to what you find in cheap lettings. Next morning, owners provided the breakfast they could be bothered to make. (Website, breakfast menu and barstaff boast a continental.) Just awful really...the place has won awards. Should be renamed the laurels, which the owners are clearly resting on. We were ripped off and we knew it! Good shower though and the lamb rump was lovely. Also there is a much better pub down the road, doesn't look much from the outside, but they've worked hard on it.

This is NOT and family friendly restaurant. I would suggest anyone who has additional needs stay well clear as the lack of understanding and empathy, especially in this day and age, is absolutely disgraceful. Arrived without a booking and was offered a table. Explained that there would be 6 of us eating and the others were still to arrive. My 7year old son, with special needs had brought his own drink with him and agreed that he would eat and drink. When we sat we were told he could not have his drink as they serve beverages. Asked for the same drink which they do not serve and so asked for a glass for him to put his drink in. Again by another waiter was told no he can not have it. The manager then abruptly arrived and said you can not consume your own drinks. I explained 6 of us would be eating and drinking, he is a child and would save another drink after this. He again said no. I then had to spend 40 minutes talking to my special needs child, who at this point was crying and distraught, trying to convince him that we needed to stay for food as everyone else wanted to eat here. I, and my child was humiliated in from of a restaurant full of people. The rest of the table arrived and The manager again came back to the table stating, 'i know you think I am being unreasobalble' to which I stated yes while holding back the tears myself as I was so upset and angry. There was never any apology or attempt to understand our position. We were just simply told no. Even by the management of the establishment.

Hi, went for a birthday meal here at the Camden Arms in Pembury and was not impressed with the food. 1. The vegetables on my plate looked and tasted dry. 2. The pea shoot garnish did not look happy. 3. Chips not bad but would of been nicer if they where not frozen and more crispy. 4. The gravy could not put on my food as I thinking it was just a gravy you mix with water, had no flavour at all. 5. the pie pastry was over cooked and very dry. 6. The filling has 3 very small bits of kidney 1 bit of steak and 5 bits of very large gristle. 7. The menu has far too many item's on it and is very confusing to read and then choose, so on that point there is hardly any fresh meals coming out as most but not all the food is frozen. After reporting the pie to the manager no attempt was made to rectify this by taking the meal of the bill. Glad the company was real good. On the other hand the pub / hotel is a beautiful place to meet friends and have a pint.

Booked the restaurant part of the hotel for my sister in laws birthday as we had heard great reviews about the place to which we looked forward to. My father in law booked the restaurant well in advance due to being popular. On arrival we were greeted however when we said we had booked they had no recollection of our booking. We know things like that can happen and a fully accepting of mistakes but it was the way we were made to feel. The girl questioned my father in law multiple times about our booking trying to make it feel like it was our fault and made my father in law embarrassed as he was made to feel as he was lying and incompetent. We were seated in a back room and decided to get drinks but we didn’t have a drinks menu. My sister in laws partner went to the bar and the staff member laughed and sarcastically said no. My sister in laws parter proceeded to walk back to the table but didn’t realise the staff member at the bar followed him. The staff member rudely said what do you want and was so blunt. To say the least we got our drink bill and left to the lovely pub across the road where the staff welcomed us with warm arms. As much as we would’ve stayed they unfortunately lost our custom due to the rude service that made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcoming

Recommended, nice room, nice food, nice staff. My wife and I stayed here Friday night. The room was nice and spacey with all the mod cons you would expect. The pub was loverly with a wide range of drinks and alcohol, my wife loved the Gin list. The food was excellent, well cooked and well priced. We had an evening meal and breakfast and both were superb. We will revisit and bring friends, I really enjoyed our time here.

Lovely hotel and pub. We stayed for one night whilst attending a friends wedding locally. Whilst we didn’t eat at the property as we were at the event the food looked lovely and had a great atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and our rooms were great. A comfy nights sleep and all amenities you could need. Great location and good parking. Thank you 😄

Great food & service. The staff understand Celiacs disease requirements and provided my brother with a really good Gluten free meal, the rest of us were also impressed with the food, well done Camden Arms.

The manner in which we were looked after by Simon and his team was faultless. Pembury proved to be the ideal location to base ourselves for travelling around Kent. The hotel had ample parking; the rooms were spotless; housekeeping was first class; the beer and food terrific and, the staff very friendly. What wasn't to like? Highly recommended and definitely worth a visit.
