A very good experience across a number of visits. A relative of mine had their Hip replaced here, it was a completely different encounter to their NHS hip replacement. The surgery itself was far better, much less after care needed, anaesthetist was way better and they were home sooner. I've also been in on a couple of visits and it works like a well-oiled machine, hardly any waiting around. Such a shame NHS hospitals cant function as well as these places. It serves illustrate just how much reform the entire NHS needs if we want to repair it, money is not the magic bullet, the problems lie far deeper and are definitely not a simple.

I’ve been waiting two weeks for the results of an MRI scan, I was told they’d be ready ‘within a week at latest’ when my scan was done. My insurer is calling them every day to chase and never receives a call back. Today they did manage to get through and were told that the results have been ready for a long time but only one lady can upload them, and that as a result there will be a further delay. This is a really poor level of service, the long delay is one thing but then the poor level of communication is even worse.

My wife was previously booked to have surgery at The Spire Alexandra, however it was a complete debacle. They lost her blood results, cancelled her surgery (which she had waited 4 months for) 3 days before the date and then gave her a new date in 3 months time. We spoke to Kim's and they had my wife seen the same day by a new consultant, bloods and pre-op assessment were carried out in <2 weeks and she had the surgery within a month. Their after care has been amazing and my wife is on the road to recovery. Can't recommend Kim's enough!

I have to commend the staff of this hospital. I had to have to steroid injections in my spine due to a long-standing issue that has seen me off work for four months. Right from the minute I walked in, to the moment they wheeled me out in a wheelchair (I could walk, but wasn't allowed to), they showed the utmost levels of professionalism (from the anaesthetist moving my operation back because I had sucked a mint in the time I wasn't supposed to have even a lick of water), to the nurses that took me out of my operation, and tended to me afterwards, making sure I was able to leave as quickly as possible, It's all sorted. I love this kind of professionalism. The facilities are excellent, and the staff know exactly what they are doing!

I recently contacted KIMS requesting an MRI scan. I received an email reply from an imaging officer stating that they would not accept a referral from my osteopath as he was not registered with them. This stunned my osteopath who had never had such a problem before. I emailed back querying their policy and received the least professional reply I have seen in my entire life. I got a two line, anonymous response, no greeting or formal ending, littered with exclamation marks, telling me that it would be quicker for me to chase my osteopath to then chase them rather than waiting for KIMS to deal with the matter - a tacit admission that their service is terrible. I then complained and received a reply from the customer relations team who told me they were passing the case to the business development team. What an utter joke - all I wanted was a scan, but this seems to be beyond their procedures. I then emailed back to say that, given their performance, I would not be proceeding - there was no response to this, just silence. Given my ludicrous experience, I strongly recommend that you have nothing to do with KIMS. If their healthcare matches the customer service…

Initially was happy with the service that was provided, the doctor i saw was very nice. However the receptionist (not his secretary) needs more training as her basic manners need work. My procedure was booked in December and due to falling ill to covid I was forced to cancel. The receptionist I called when cancelling was not helpful, told me someone will call to re book the procedure, and when I asked when that night be, she was very dis interested and wanted to get off the phone (I think it was the same lady I encountered on my visit). Its is now 4 weeks later and I have had no response to re book. Very disappointed as this is a private hospital where I am self funding, I would expect a certain level of professionalism which kims falls short on. I'm have moved on to another hospital which is far better and have already had the procedure.

After suffering with kidney stones in October 21 I bit the bullet and spent a smidge under £5000 and was told by Mr Tom Smith at Kim's that after my operation blood tests would be taken and my kidney stones sent off for analysis in order for me to know the cause of the stones and take the right course in diet/medication to prevent it in the future. After my operation the pain from the stones never went away, and after being told results for the stones analysis should take no more than 3/4 weeks, after nearly 4 months of asking for an update on the results I was eventually told they was never sent for analysis! I paid £4900 for my kidney stones and I still don't even know what caused them, the pain never went away and after making many changes to my diet and increasing water intake daily I do in fact still have kidney stones in the same kidney less than a year later with the pains never actually having gone. Unacceptable.

I cannot fault this hospital and staff. They work tremendously hard to treat you as an individual. My experience was an overnight stay for foot operation,. Every member of the orthopedic team, from surgeon and his team to care nurses, porters, reception, were kind, caring and extremely hard working. They were all angels!

Such a great service here today from the Imaging department. Smooth entry and assistance on entry to the hospital, nicely greeted and helped to find where I needed to go. Been here several times and really can’t rate it highly enough. Nada in imaging is just so nice. Fab staff

I was referred to this hospital by my consultant for a scan following surgery I had undergone last week. An hour prior to leaving for the hospital, I noticed that my catheter wasn’t working the way it was meant to. This was causing me severe discomfort which I mentioned several times since arriving at the hospital. The nurses absolutely refused to look at it despite me explaining my discomfort and explaining what I thought the issue was. I was told since they had not fitted the catheter, I was not under their care and therefore they were not prepared to help in any way at all. I asked them to merely confirm something might be wrong to avoid making the 1 hour journey into London to go back to the hospital it was fitted, and that too was refused. Appalled at the non-existent duty of care and compassion that this hospital has shown!! Going by the reviews I have read, this hospital clearly has a reputation for poor service and lack of professionalism and the only thing worse than reading the poor reviews are the impersonal, standard (automated?!) response each one gets about sending an email to their complaints email address.

Outstanding experience throughout the entire process of having my hysterectomy at Kims Hospital. From the greeting at the reception and the kind attention when admitted to Nickleby Ward, was all amazing.A particular mention and massive appreciation to Doctor Andreas Papadopoulos and his team, who performed the operation with excellence and his care and professionalism filled me with calming confidence. Also a kind mention to Doctor Camy,Laura,Silvia and all the others who looked after me with loving and comforting kindness throughout. Thank you all so much from the bottoms of my heart.God bless you all. Veronica Pop

Service is unbelievably poor. The time spent on hold makes the NHS look like a golden service. I explained my unfortunate situation to Louise just to be told I can't be seen for near two weeks. Surely if people are in pain a basic referral or escalation / cover system is in place? To simple to say go to your doctors or local hospital. Seems this place just wants to pick and choose.

Private patient experience as an NHS funded patient. A couple of very small admin hiccups but quickly rectified. My Surgeon, Mr Nik Bakti, is just excellent. His reassuring manner and extensive expertise is first class. The Consultant Anaesthetist, Mr Rob Williams, was equally reassuring and put me at ease while putting me to sleep. The recovery team were so nice and the Nurse looking after me afterwards was lovely. I will always want to go to KIMS Hospital if I ever need any further treatment.

Ive had two total knee replacements done at Kims hospital in the last three years after enduring the most debilitating pain in both knees. I now have no pain and enjoy a normal life... many thanks Simon Ellis !

Had a small procedure at Kims in Maidstone. As usual I was treated very well. Nurse was lovely, catering staff friendly and food was very nice. Theatre staff all cheery and kind. I never have any complaints about being at Kims.

I came to KIMS seeking private X-Ray as my GP said i couldnt get one through refferal on NHS as i havent had "Trauma" recently, despite me saying I have a feeling that something might be wrong with my screws and rods in my spine as it suddenly started hurting. Ive had spinal fusion in August 2020. After having a chat with reception and Imaging Manager who were very polite and kind not to mention super understanding, I got my results done. And thank God I did as my Private neurosurgeon diagnosed spinal infection that i will begin treatment for. If i didnt get my x-Ray done, it could have been fatal left untreated or ignored. As my surgeon is overseas i was unable to get x-ray through him. P.S. Always seek private medical help if GP lets you down or your 6th sense tingles saying something isnt right. Thank you to Radiology Department. 👍

Had full hip replacement 2 weeks ago and it couldn't have gone better. Excellent care whilst in hospital and first class after care. Already am able to get around fine with crutches and reduced painkillers to a minimum . Going back to work next week. Really pleased with recovery. Lovely team at the hospital.

Really poor service, receptionists made me feel uncomfortable, if I’m brutally honest, I’ve been better areas In Medway hospital!! For what I paid for an hours consultation, I have to say that the before and after service was very unprofessional! Communication or answers to questions was almost nonexistent! Would not recommend!

Botched the routine surgery after delaying it a the last minute by several hours, then kept waiting for 2 more hours to get meds and a porter. Not really private hospital standard.

Don't usually go in for writing reviews but saw Dr Ioannis Zoukos last week after my health condition being ruled out by my GP as non urgent, even though have suffered for over nine months. Feeling nervous was immediately put as ease and it was even better knowing I was actually being listened to. Dr Zoukos showed understanding and empathy to my condition and though it may take a while to get back on my feet, I am so glad I made the decision to see this doctor. Highly recomended.

The staff are professional and kind. But I wouldn't recommend the skin dermatology/skin dermatologist especially if you're BAME. The skin dermatologist googled most things and 'over the counter' products. Sadly could tell he was only used to white patients (which is fine) but the dermatologist should've have known more about BAME skin. Didn't get advice on how to prevent my skin condition. Didn't even ask me basic questions like 'what products are you currently using? How long have you had this?'. Most of the things I could google. Sadly wouldn't recommend.

I self referred here to see Mr Ravi Singh due to NHS waiting lists, having had an elbow problem for 2 years. The service and care I received was outstanding. I had surgery less than one week from my appointment and am now making a good recovery. Every member of staff that I encountered were so kind and caring , from the porter, the ward and operating staff, and off course Mr Singh. Thank you

On Friday 10th of November, 2023 I received a phone call from the payment department chasing an invoice that I had no knowledge of but i did pay Doctor Hones original invoice of £205 (I am a self pay patient) and i have always paid the treatment invoices for my wife and I as and when they fall due but but the invoice concerned was for the equipment used which I didn't know i had to pay for and I found the invoice in Spam, but when I queried the invoice and the person chased me she was very rude towards me and reminded me that Kim's is a private Hospital which I thought was an insult and when i asked for her name she put the phone down on me, I rang back and spoke to a person called Karen and expressed my dissatisfaction how i was treated and after she took the payment over the phone I said to her i need an apology, I never received an apology or a call back from the person named Karen so she was as bad, its not the way I would expect anyone from Kim's to act. Overall Experience: My recent surgery for a damaged leg ligament at KIMS Hospital was, without a doubt, the most positive hospital experience I've ever had. The level of care, professionalism, and kindness I encountered was unparalleled. Consultant and Surgeon, Dr. Willmott: Dr. Willmott's expertise and confidence as both a consultant and surgeon were remarkable. His skill and professional demeanor significantly contributed to my sense of ease throughout the process. Anaesthesiologist: Although I can't recall their name, the anaesthesiologist was amazing. Their exceptional skill and approach during the surgery played a crucial role in my positive experience. Nursing Team: The nursing staff's caring attitude was a breath of fresh air. It's rare to see such dedication and warmth in healthcare today. Nicola: Nicola was an absolute delight. Her perfect blend of humor and professionalism made my stay much more comfortable. Amie: Despite it being her first day at KIMS, Amie's extensive knowledge and caring nature were evident. Kelly and Angela: They both left a lasting impression on me with their kindness and caring attitudes, making my experience truly memorable. Apology for Any Omissions: If there's anyone I've missed, I sincerely apologize. Every individual I encountered at KIMS Hospital played a part in making my stay exceptional. Closing Thoughts: The level of care, attention to detail, and overall professionalism at KIMS Hospital sets a new standard for healthcare excellence. I am profoundly grateful to the entire team for their exceptional service.
