This grime is shocking! The mosaic is full of dirt! You can easily catch any skin disease there! Can you guys clean your SPA properly for goodness sake!Your cleaners are horrible! This is how filthy the jacuzzi is! The layers of dirt just unbelievable! You can relax and make an art at the same time! Exclusive experience! Just disgusting!

It was our wedding anniversary and we wanted to make a good memory with my friend with champagne in the spa garden. I didn't know that I can't take guests to the spa because I have a diamond Card, and on the first day they told me that you can take guests with you to all branches, and now I understand that they lied and you can't take them to all branches. After about 15 minutes, 4 people came and threw my friend out with ugly behavior. They treated me like a thief. I told them that it is our anniversary, let us drink champagne and we will leave in 15 minutes. But a boy named Will said no and must leave the spa right now. Our family pays 4000 pounds a year to use a special place, but unfortunately some people's behavior makes it no longer special there. If all the branches I went to allowed me to take a guest. Like the Hampton branch. Hampton is wonderful

I am really disappointed. We had a lot of pressure put on us by the sales team to pay 10 months upfront for a couple that's £2500. The sales rep actually telephoned my partner 4 times in one day trying to get his bank details. We advised that we were happy to pay as long as the gym was in good condition. We are gym users mainly and the facilities are very poor and run down. It does not matter how often we escalate things, nothing seems to be done about it. On returning to the gym there is still missing weights, it infuriates me because we are paying a premium and there are one set of each weights, everyone waiting for it to be available. The floor has needed to be repaired for years it is unsafe, and dirty. It is literally taped down in places, and bubbles up. I have lost count how many times I have tripped on the floor. There are not enough hooks for the machines. The list is endless. Often whole areas of the gym are in darkness because no one has put the lights on. I have escalated all of the above multiple times and nothing seems to be done about it. The staff can be a bit cliquey and make you feel uncomfortable at times where you try to provide feedback. One of the managers was incredibly rude to us last year, and extremely inappropriate. When we tried to escalate this there was no apology or acceptance of the poor treatment which is upsetting. the manager actually said "If you are not happy then leave", when we tried to take her up on that offer we were told we can't just leave because we have a 12 month contract. Some of the gym instructors are lovely. However I just expect better treatment when you are paying such a premium. It's a shame that there are not any Pure Gyms in the area as the staff are always kind, polite and equipment is always clean and well taken care of. We do not want much but the gym needs to be sorted asap!

Mixed feelings with this one. I joined with a few others at the beginning of the year. They’re experience was much worst and predominantly all customer service related. The facilities are incredible, the classes are great. I disagree with the earlier review on class cancellations etc. I’ve found this to be one of the only gyms with a vast range of classes from early morning through to late in the evening which is difficult to find in other gyms. It is incredibly hard to get in contact with anyone regarding issues and this is one of the main problems with the gym, a very clear ongoing one. The customer service really needs to be looked into when resolving problems especially as a Diamond member but also across the board. The spa is incredible. I agree with a review below I had a bunch of teenagers waiting for me to scan my card and then they jumped right through. The spa then became pretty rowdy and unbearable at times. Can someone look into this especially as it’s school holidays. With the amount this membership costs it needs to be looked into properly and measures put in place before it escalates further.

I have been a member for many years, and this used to be a very good club. Unfortunately in recent years, that management has been trying to reduce costs and increase profits at members expenses. At the moment, the cleaning of the of the facilities is poor and repairs take a very long time to be done. In addition, they have now created a rule that members coming to use the spa and the gym are allowed only one towel per visit. The result is, if you wish to use the sauna, you will have to sit on the wood soaked with other people sweats. There has been one member that report getting a blood infection in his foot recently. Don’t believe what they are selling you when you visit

MANAGEMENT TREAT THEIR STAFF LIKE S**T. 7 years in and they cancelled my membership for protecting and helping one of their staff that was being verbally abused by a new member. 7 years in and it took a member to help their staff because they don’t do anything to help them out. Management have been verbally abusive to their staff before and they expect them not to respond. Very unethical gym. They have no loyalties for members and simply don’t care about anyone but themselves.

Overall a good tennis club, however it seems they are running on a budget and usually are short in staff which causes them closing the bar early. they treat members carelessly as it feels they been under lots of pressure due to lack of staff. I agree with the other reviews about the food, the restaurant food is horrible here, 9 out of 10 burgers are burned.

The gym is fairly good, nowhere near the best in london (especially for the high prices) but still decent. What is annoying however is that there is no free trial, no one day or one week pass, and its hard to find the exact prices for the membership. So the only way to find out how good the gym is personally is to first buy the membership instead of being able to try out like in any other normal gym. There is a 1 day guest pass but that costs 30£ which is ridiculous.

Brilliant club, lots of helpful staff and great facilities. Sophie took our Reformer Pilates small group class today, and it was brilliant. I felt valued and supported throughout, and the level was suitable for beginners all the way up to advanced levels. It was my first class with Sophie but was so impressed that we were all called by name throughout the class. It really felt personal and I know I had some really valuable 1-2-1 attention when I required it. I would definitely keep coming back.

I've been a member of the club for many years and unfortunately the place is going dowhill fast. I'm not in the habit of leaving bad reviews unless I feel strongly about poor service. The Raynes park branch of David Lloyd which is my home club used to be pretty nice but in recent months the branch is not beibg run very efficiently. The condition of the showers is getting quite bad and more often than not there is no shampoo in the showers even early in the morning ... The staff are usually polite and nice but today, when I asked the reception staff to record my registration I got a rude response with the lady rolling her eyes and raising her voice. I walked out in disgust. I don't think I will stay at DL for long as I'm getting fed up to pay over £100/month for a seemingly elite club and get standards and services not much better than a leisure centre!

Fabulous and beautiful beach to be in England. The sea is clear and clean. Perfect place for summer season. Although one unfortunate thing was the steps to go down to the beach. The steps were extremely small and high to walk down and there was no handle to hold for support.

Newly refurbished gym. Unfortunately, many issues. 1)Spa. Lovely new design but majority of facilities aren't made for purpose. Luke warm steam rooms (due to a design flaw-rooms are small with direct entry, so steam/heat escapes). 3 saunas: two are literally just above room temperatures. Only 1 sauna is adequately hot but very busy (as people flock to use it). Great ice-cold plunge pool-but only 1 so there is always a long queue. Showers opposite of steam rooms are constantly flooded so you will always be standing ankles deep in dirty water. 2)Gym. Lovely brand new equipment. Unfortunately, the gym room is too small. No separate corner for boxing/martial arts training. Too few machines/equipment for the number of people attending this gym so you will have to wait long. Rowing machines are incorrectly set up/maintained. 3)Indoor pool. Unfortunately, it is too warm for fast swimming. Another issue- only 2 lanes are usually open, another half of the pool is used for family swimming/lessons. This, on its own, is not a problem. The problem is however is that there are hardly any windows during the day when all 4 lanes can be used by fast/intermediate swimmers so it creates a stampede, 3)Customer service. Unfortunately, not very responsive, take weeks to reply to complaints. Lovely common areas with nice cafeteria and great design throughout. Good selection of classes.

This club has nice facilities but they are sadly ruined by how oversubscribed the club is and poor management decisions. The positive reviews all name dropping a specific member of staff should clearly be taken with a pinch of salt as they come from people who have just joined up and not had any real experience of the club yet. It is quite obvious they have been asked to leave a positive review by the person signing them up because there must be some sort of staff incentive being run by management. I’ve been told by unhappy staff there are over 10,500 members at the Raynes Park location. The gym is always packed so you have to go at awkward hours to have a good workout. I will say there is a decent range of equipment but for the amount of members there could be a few more machines. We’ve never been able to book a tennis court because they are always fully booked. On a nice day the pool is completely unusable because it’s full of kids and all of the sun beds are full. We’ve actually seen people having arguments over them which takes away from the relaxing vibe you would hope for in a Spa. The kitchen is always out of really basic ingredients so half the menu always seems to be unavailable. There has also recently been a mice issue in the kitchen. I have seen video evidence of this taken by other members and apparently staff are aware but unable to do anything. To add to this, there have been issues with the showers in the changing rooms ongoing for months now. It’s understandable that these things can happen but maintenance should be done outside of club hours. It is unacceptable to expect women and young girls to shower alongside men and even more unacceptable to ask women to wait around in their swimming costumes while maintenance is being carried out in the changing rooms to be able to access their clothes in their lockers. When you’re paying £300 a month for a couples membership this should not happen. If these issues were addressed and the club would stop being so greedy trying to sign up new members and prioritising existing ones then the value for money and reputation of the club would be a lot higher.

Need to change from 5 to 1 star, unfortunately Yesterday I saw several chunks of hair floating in the indoor pool 😞 and a week or 2 ago, when I was swimming in that pool, the hair was already there! And I've got it on my hand after grabbed a water while swimming... Disgusting!!! And totally unacceptable But it's even worse: when I pointed the floating hair to the lady working in the pool and then the manager - I've got a response: " we regularly clean the pool, it happens". And they didn't show even a slight sign of worry , just pretended that this is normal. But it's not normal, and not safe to swim in such a dirt.

Families Avoid!! 0 star!! Please do read honest low star ratings &reviews here because itll save you cash, time and peace!! This place is not family safe, not fun and not nice at all. Its where newbies and retired people come to waste their money away. Ive had so many issues as simple as how to pick up my child from class with no way to get to him without a buggy ramp, only to be verbally and physically assaulted by a coach and a member. Youll be lucky if you have a good day! Be prepared to be offered a termination if you complain. They have apologised for certain areas of their service and logistics. But the club are professional at passing blame and responsibility onto you and others. Manipulative. So many bad points, where to begin!? My family include two children have been pushed to end our membership with no compensation. DL dont care if you do leave, people all ‘waiting’ to sign up anyway. Poor management and poor leadership. Unhealthy, detrimental to your overall health!! Stressful!! toxic!! And we pay for this? Over the summer there were floods in the family changing rooms, men and womens toilets swapped over, chaos to the point where i felt unsafe for my children to use the club. Its was madness. Building works and mess still continue for maintenance - just expect it to disrupt your schedule! The outdoor pool is not available to children during warm weathers only a few hours during the summer holidays and if a life guard is there. There have been times we drove all the way down to have it closed because somebody was ill in it. They use heavy chemicals to clean it. Staff follow you and your guests to see if youre using spaces not allowed only for them to be left red faced when they discover we arent scammers. Embarrassing and bullyish behaviour! When asked why they behave like this they always seem to have a lacking answer or ignore you/emails and even roll their eyes at you - in your face! There are a few nice people who work at the cafe or kids club and make the experience better but they seem to be tired and dont seem to stay on. youll see lots of new people working and dont have a clue whats in store for them. Ive had a tennis coach shout at my children because they want to clear the space for their own classes. Ive had other member try to attack me for standing next to his court, I actually called the police and they attended. Ive had other members tell me to wait until they’ve finished the game even if they continue to play in my booked time?! Small but petty issues become full blown problems which drives the sporting experience down. The spa looks good from the outside but when using it clearly needs constant refurb with dirty or broken bits here and there. Also busy so it doesnt feel relaxing. Padel is outside?! This club does not allow a trial so youre literally signing up in the hope you havent been sold it. If youre there for tennis, forget it. Youll never get tennis courts as its fully booked and the app will crash on you often. Ive had to email back and forth and still it simply crashes due to the sheer number of people desperate to book courts. Kids clubs are not professional sports clubs and anyway fully booked. My son is bored by them and is above average for their offerings. The complaints procedure is one to read before joining because you will find out it’s a loop hole that looks after the club and not you who is signing on the dotted line. Its a complaints system which will do nothing even if you tried. Im in communication with Merton MP, citizens advice bureau, local charities and organisations as well as legal advice who are supporting me. This club is dodgy and criminal. If youre there for the cafe and social space then go elsewhere! forget it because youll get food poisoning. Ive over heard children beg their parents to eat elsewhere. My son has stomach aches after eating and the place is dirty always. I bring my own lunches and end up eating at any available table -after cleaning it myself. Kids toilets and family/baby change is disgusting.

Was a member last year - overpriced contracts and repeated exposure to such poorly trained staff in customer service, make the recently refurbished spa with great reformer Pilates classes, just not worth the trouble. It also gets so ridiculously busy that it ends up being an unpleasant experience. All lockers get locked up (seemingly overnight) and the changing rooms are often overflowing with used towels etc. Classes get booked up minutes after release and often on arrival to the class there are spaces! The Farnham branch is much better so perhaps Raynes Park staff could emulate their exemplary staff manner, especially in view of the extortionate prices. Side note: the team who responds to these google reviews does not seem to care about negative feedback as emails are ignored. I’m only writing this review in retrospect, as a warning to prospective members - I would suggest you consider other options unless the staff culture at Raynes Park improves.

Good things first- Massive facilities, lovely restaurant, nice outdoor pool, renewed gym and very nice and helpful ladies at reception providing great customer service. Now the annoying things- very poorly maintained tennis courts. Especially outdoor ones. Lights in bubbles are always faulty and never fixed. Bubbles have leakage everytime it rains. When they take bubbles down during spring and summer time, there are no proper tennis banners between courts and wires sticking out from the fences. Hard to book indoor court. Overall lovely club with quality players at all levels and with lots of potential to be an elite club but management need to focus on details- and fix it.

We visited the club one day because we were interested in joining. A member of the staff showed us around and explained everything about the club and offered us a day pass for us to try the club for a day before we joined. He said we could call back anytime and book a day when it suited us, we just had to give our names and the staff would find us in the system. We called back a month later to book our day visit and were greated by Zyad(?). He said our names were not in the system and treated us in an arrogant way as if we were trying to take advantage of the place and spend a day for free. He said hey didn’t have day passes, that this wasn’t possible. We offered to PAY for a day pass since we want to try the club before committing to a membership, and he said that day passes didn’t exist and we couldn’t buy one. Such a frustrating experience being told one thing by one person and then something completely different by another one. Tells a lot about the level of the staff and customer service provided. No wonder why this place is rated lower than a 4 here.

terrible membership office. The gym itself is great it is just the way they handle current customers. The membership team never reply to emails unless you keep at them. Flat out lie about calling you back. It seems they only care about making you join up and then go silent on any customer services which is sad. Disgusted i pay over £200 a month for me and my mother to be constantly ignored.

Increasing prices without warning driving clients to look for loopholes and bingo they found it. Transfer membership to Kingston for £45. Per month then use the Rynes Park as many times as you like. They say it should be half kingston and half Rynes Park but they can not track it so many use it for six day In Rynes Park. You can even book classes on the day or a day before. You can also find part time or one day job at reception or restaurant and use all facilities and classes for you and member of family. Paying membership but never get to go to classes busy with none members at the busiest time of day.

Lovely amenities, equipment and spa 😍😍 It’s so huge you could get lost, they have an abundance of tennis courts, a few swimming pools, and a nice lounge/ cafe which provides a great place to work or unwind. Membership isn’t for the faint hearted, but if you visit often and use all the amenities, it will definitely be worth it . My only con so far is that we were promised something upon joining that was not fulfilled and after asking 3 times, still has not been granted. Hopefully it will be and it wasn’t just a sales tactic.

This club has damaged my mental health instead of improving it! I’m going to tell you what sales people will not tell: 1. SPA. According to a reliable source, they do the cleaning of hot tub ones per month!!!! The rest is the time they just and some chlorine! That is why the tiles are full of grime. 2. Classes. Forget about to get a booking for tennis of classes. They have got 10000 members,so it is almost impossible to book anything. 3. Customer Service. For your money you will be met right at the reception by rude and busy chatting between each other people! And don’t even think to complain about something! You will be told to cancel your subscription, you an ungrateful creature! They gave you such a once in a lifetime amazing opportunity to be a member of this exclusive club! 4. Locker rooms. With 100000 members one family room is not enough for sure. But no worries, they just allow parents with toddlers to use adult’s ones! If you plan to enjoy a peaceful get ready for the day, take a shower-not really! Surprise-surprise! People’s children will literally jump on top of your head and take over the whole space making you want to evacuate ASAP! 5. Swimming Pools. Constantly lessons taken place in indoor pool,so you will enjoy to use only one lane with other people splashing water in your face! Some traffic lights are needed there for sure! If the sun is out and you are running to lie near the outdoor pool-oh well ,it will look lake Victoria train station-all the beds are occupied ,once again, because the club is over loaded with people more it’s capacity!

I booked for a 14day taster!, I used to belong to the south all, club, I left, had enough of the children using the pool as a toilet, sitting in the sauna room, running about in the cafeteria area like banshees. now tried this one at raynes park, paid my fee, and had to change the induction day. no one answered the phone, had to e mail. due an an injury to my hand that required stitches, was told 'the sell by date was over' glad I never paid for full membership. well done, just keep taking these 'taster fees' and giving a poor service! its an asylum run by lunatics! thank you all!

two out of three weeks in new pool...BRRRRRR...freezing! Staff say it's 29 degrees, but they are not in the pool. Daughter shivered through her swim lesson again. Children's pool used to be a relief on the cold pool days, but that was colder than the main pool. Sorry to see kids (not just mine) after their classes jump into kids pool and then straight back out. Hope it gets sorted soon.

Was lied to by the sales manager last year, who informed me that DL Raynes Park had invested millions into the club including brand new badminton facilities and dedicated courts. After joining, i realised badminton was on a single shared court and i was competing with 100s of tennis players for court bookings. Finally getting a court 2 weeks later, found that all badminton nets were broken and unplayable. On threatening to cancel my membership, DL management team finally responded and bought some basic nets and added badminton to the app. The storyline above plays out several times over the next 12 months for variety of reasons. DL continuously unable to meet minimal standards to cater for the growing demand for badminton. Members then having to go out of the way to push the reactive DL management on ways to improve. Courts are continuously oversubscribed during the only 2 week nights that badminton is available for, whilst all tennis courts are empty. Court surface remains "dangerous" as quoted by the pro badminton coach on many occasions - causing numerous ankle and knee injuries over the past year. Equipment is still lacking with poor quality nets and no shuttles provided in socials. Lots of members very frustrated and have quit/ready to quit. Including the badminton coach. Spa is lovely though, welldone DL - 1 🌟

What a beautiful club and even better staff. Such an all round experience. The sales rep (Georgina) gave me a wonderful tour and was really informative about all the facilities at the club. Been a member for a few months and I’ve never looked back. The spa is amazing. Joining them has been the best thing for my wellbeing.

A club, not a gym for sure. Great equipment and experience, even with the price tag. Lots of options for courts and classes, even though tennis ones get booked up pretty quickly. One thing to look at and improve, alongside to how coaches supervise and curate the matches. Tennis classes are quite good. Spa and gym are really well taken care of.

Amazing Health club and Spa The gym is spacious, clean and has a great selection of equipment Good friendly vibe The spa is fantastic! Very clean and tidy So many different rooms to experience, my favourite being the Meditation Room I felt well look after and valued as a member on my visit today Special mention to Lou, the manager, always happy and smiling, clearly loves her job as much as the members love DL Raynes Park

I have been member for years. The management just gets worse. The hard courts are dirty. I have never seen tennis courts are so dirty, not even the free access or public once. You can find drinks marks, smashed biscuits, something unknown.... I complained many times but just received no response. The management just doesn't care. Membership fee increases over the inflation rate every year. ... I am fed up and tender my membership cancellation. Nobody is trying to find out why you leave ... I think DL is getting enough members. They simply don't care you are leaving. Btw, they like kids. They keep advertising kids join for free. It makes me feel I am subsidising those kids.

We are not members, but had a kids party arranged for our son’s 5th birthday. It was the most embarrassing and disappointing event possible. We had lengthy email correspondence in advance and numerous phone calls with the organisers, were given assurances and promises of experience and creativity of the team, none of them materialised. First of all, communication is appalling. You always get responses from different people and they never know what has been discussed before; management is not replying to complaints and after being chased, they pass a message to you through reception team; you always get conflicting responses and if somebody promises something, the next person says it cannot be done. As a final stroke, the host called as at 8.30am on the day of the party to find out about our requirements. A few hours later we were advised that actually a host will be different. We were promised a dinosaur theme incorporated in the games, we did not notice any reference to it during the event. We basically got assigned 2 members of staff who were probably on shift that day, they had zero interest facial expressions for the whole 2 hours, no enthusiasm, not even smiling to the kinds, just passively going through basic traditional games. Secondly, apart from helium balloons on the table there were no decorations in the room. This is after a million questions from me and assurances that we do not need to bring any extra decor. Thirdly, both adults and kids food arrrived about 20 min late and minding that the hosts were completely disengaged, the kids just ran around the room finding entertainment themselves. Adult food arrived with no plates, serviettes, milk, spoons, you have to run to reception to arrange it separately. Kids ice cream tubs were given without spoons, advertised crudités never came, again you run to organise it all yourselves. In summary, very disorganised, unpleasant and most importantly no promised kids entertainment actually delivered. We could have just let the kids run in our garden with the same effect without paying £20 per head cost. We have experience of such parties in other clubs and this is non-comparable. Never again for us

Very expensive but good quality gear however I was continually harassed by the personnel trainer into buying private training sessions which weren’t cheap he even sent me text messages from his personnel from with offers but this was 4 years ago.

Poor value tennis club. Very little court availability, coaches aren't paid for classes so are generally disinterested, high coach turnover, one club organised tournament a year, no club atmosphere. Don't join expecting a tennis club, it's a leisure club with some tennis courts.

Was impressed with the place when looking round, upon joining . Then whilst using the fascilities have felt the les mills (projector screen led) classes a bit of a copout. On this based of not paying for instructors. Please add more frequent classes throughout the day. More reformer Pilates classes. Perhaps a kickboxing style class? Just some more variations and options. They get repetitive and boring after some time. The gym unfortunately has no windows looking out externally to anything. Or natural light. And all machines are facing the centre of the room. It just feels like a pretty basis gym floor and it’s cheaper competitors gym floors feel a lot better all round to be honest. The only bonus is the pool really. In two minds about continuing my membership. Due to the fact I can pay half of what I do now and be just as content at another competitors premises. Severely over priced I’m afraid.

All too often by the time I shower after 10pm there is no more shampoo/body wash in the dispensers. The dispensers should be checked more frequently and topped up when empty. The current refill regime is not sufficiently frequent. Please address this. Please have your restaurant team clear the dirty plates and clean the tables when people have left. Its not a great experience walking to the changing rooms past multiple dirty tables. I will take some photos next time if you don't believe me.

My husband got his iPhone stolen from this club recently. Safety continues to be an issue in this club as during our membership, lockers got broken into and even cars while parked on their premises… so we have decided to leave for good because the expensive membership is not justified when your personal belongings are stolen and the club has failed to monitor who is on their premises…Disgraceful!

I’ve been a founding member here for over 20 years and the club and staff are always top of their game. Especially Rebecca on front desk. She has led by example on how to show the best customer service a company should strive for and sets the bar high for all the new staff coming in . The SPA and pools are great (although would be better to keep to local club members only) - all in all The best gym sports club I have been to!!!

The team gave great service for my joining process. They gave me the guidance on apps and offered great help. The tennis courts and the spa were great. Having been there for a few times with friends and finally decided to join as a member. It's worth the money.

I've been going to this club since I was a child and a lot has changed for the better in that time. A couple of things stand out though that need to be acted upon: 1. Cleanliness - not always as good as it should be especially in the toilets. 2. Business - peak times have really got too busy and in my opinion they have sold too many memberships for the club now. Shocks me every time I go that they are still showing people round to join when it is definitely over capacity now. 3. Maintenance - there is always something broken or not working properly whether it be a toilet or shower or something small. Overall, a good club and good place to go to keep fit.

I have had the pleasure of recently becoming a member here at David Lloyd Raynes Park, I was expecting good things, however this place is truly something else! As someone who attends a gym regularly, I can vouch that the gym floor not only has all the equipment you would expect from an elite health club, but it’s got that ambiance you want when training, it flows perfectly. The Spa & classes 11/10 The true standout for me is the service, I have only been a member for 3 weeks, but it just doesn’t feel that way because of how lovely & friendly everyone is. The reception are always smiling and ready to hand me a towel. Superb service when joining from Stacey, got me set up with everything needed and has since kept in contact to make sure I am enjoying my membership.

Kenny's Battlebox Play and Blaze Rebels classes are an absolute blast! Every weekend, rain or shine, Kenny brings boundless energy and enthusiasm to his sessions, leaving both kids and adults alike with smiles plastered on their faces. His dedication to engaging with the children is truly admirable, and it's evident that he's passionate about making exercise enjoyable for the whole family. What sets Kenny's classes apart is not just the physical activity, but also the learning experience that accompanies it. Each session is filled with fun and educational activities that not only help us get fitter but also teach valuable lessons along the way. From teamwork and coordination to resilience and determination, Kenny instills important values in a way that feels effortless and enjoyable. We eagerly anticipate Kenny's classes every single week, knowing that we're in for a fantastic time filled with laughter, learning, and, of course, plenty of exercise. His positive attitude is infectious, and it's clear that he genuinely cares about the well-being and enjoyment of everyone who attends his classes. In summary, Kenny's Battlebox Play and Blaze Rebels classes are a must-attend for families looking to stay active, have fun, and learn something new together. We can't recommend them highly enough!

I came down for a tour of the club a few weeks back and was really happy with my visit. The staff were nice and the facilities were pretty good too. I didn’t have to wait too long to be seen by the sales girl Anna who was very welcoming and so helpful in helping me understand which membership was best suited for me and my family. If you’re thinking of joining I definitely recommend asking for her to show you around and make sure she show’s you the spa, it is unreal. I am now a member and my initial experience has been great.

Updated review - Aug-20. 2*. Communication from this team is very poor if you have a query regarding your membership. From Nov-19 to date, the comms I have received regarding my membership have been sparse and incorrect. The memberships inquiries team struggles to respond to emails, unless you can afford the time to go to their office and wait by their door. I have seen annual membership price increases of 7% on a regular basis. I hate to post bad reviews, but sorry David Lloyd Raynes Park, this is not acceptable. My 5* review in 2017 was: "Great facilities & opening hours. Also the restaurant/bar provides a healthy treat after a good workout! !"

Acceptable facilities, but extremely expensive for what it is. By way of comparison, other nearby tennis clubs (eg Sutton Tenns and Squash Club) charge you a one-off annual membership, and then it's free. My social membership was <£40 for the year, and I play about 5 hours a week for free. Compare that with DLRP, and the cost is astronomical. STSC also have a full rota of coaches, 9 courts, lessons for children and adults, and a vibrant social scene, along with some extremely accomplished national teams.

Mainly good. Has a lot to offer Four stars because: good gym, good pool, good spa, great classes! Jacuzzi parameter could be cleaned more often, and the free weight& squat rack offering could be larger, as sometimes crowded. Sales' claims were not all true (or misunderstandings) and some PTs seem so-so, but all are friendly. 1) Classes: A lot of free quality classes included in the membership. I currently don't take many of them, but it is great to have the option. I tried some and they do have great instructors. Yoga, cardio, muscular endurance. In particular the yoga instructors and the dude that does circuit training are great! 2) Tennis: don't know how the courts and the booking systems are, I don't have Tennis included 3) Gym: the actual gym is very balanced, for a commercial gym, but during rush hours (7am, 7–8pm, Saturday morning) it is sometimes hard to get a shot at the equipment at the free weight section. To be fair I haven't ever needed to skip workout, but I do once in a while have to wait for a squat rack 10 minutes. They only have two half cage racks, and a free weight barbell "machine" rack. Bench press benches don't have safety rails. There are plenty of sections that aren't used that much, and they could clear up space. They have loads of stationary bicycles, some really advanced ones, but stationary bikes are hardly in use and could free up space. Treadmills are most in use and they have some really nice non-electric responsive treadmills and water-resistance based rowing machines. Then there is a whole section of unusual machines that aren't used ever by anybody (BILT). Throw them out and make more space for free weights. Barbell training is increasingly popular (it is all over Instagram, men, women, young and old!) and there are plenty of people and novice trainees using the squat racks. Get more of them! 4) Spa and pools: Nothing much to complain about here, this offering really rounds up the club nicely. The sauna's are great. The edges of the jacuzzi could be cleaned more often, especially towards the wall. The indoor pool is nice, and often there is enough space for a swim. The outdoor pool seems like it could need a clean up, but we as well just are on the come down of a heat wave. 5) Cafe Good options, prices are, some dishes are great, some dishes are a bit hasty 6) Reception People are friendly, don't understand the comments 7) Sales I do find there were some broken promises of the new business team. I understood that they said you would get bi-weekly reviews of your training programme with a PT, but I think it then turned out to monthly or six weeks? I didn't follow up much on it, as I am programming my own routine. Also they claimed some fancy effects of the lights in the Sauna (similar to IR, which heats your body), but it they are just normal coloured LEDs. 8) PTs I can't speak for all of them, but the one that I interacted with, his knowledge on fitness – although he went through an education – was dated and founded in misconceptions, which have been disproven through thorough meta analysis of the last decades of research. But at least what he said wouldn't make you less fit or injure you, but it would waste your time. I do sometimes cringe a bit when I see some PTs train people squats – which are very technical – and let them do quarter squats with weights, instead of teaching them to do a full squat. Partial squats actually have MORE sheering force on the knee than full squats! Seems like an expectation management issue, you gotta take a full hour just to teach proper squats. 9) Lockers Some customers mis-use the lockers as permanent lockers and leave their stuff in there over night. Lockers and Showers are OK overall and are often cleaned. YEY!

Currently the non-platinum membership is way too overpriced. No access to tennis courts, no free towel, no possibility to invite a friend once a month. Competitors for half of the price they provide you as many classes as they do, same or better quality of studios, free towel, access to gym, etc. David Lloyd is investing 7 million pounds into this gym, but still the membership prices probably will go up and you need to get a spa membership card on the top of the already overpriced membership fee...

Great gym. Great facilities. Been a Gold member for 12 years and will most likely be a lifer. I’ve also been member at many other gyms, but David Lloyds is not just a gym, it has much more and for the whole family too. Yes sometimes things may not be available, i.e. a spa facility etc., but that is rare. Easy parking. Friendly staff and fellow gym users.

Now refurbishment completed it's absolutely 5/5 or 10/10 (well simply top marks however you want to score things). Enormous hot tubs, gym looks like a huge underground nightclub on entrance. Tennis badminton. If you can afford the a monthly fee for a couple and you both use the tennis spas gym etc then it's well worth it. It's an incredible place it really is!! ❤️

After having joined recently at the Raynes Park club, I can certainly say my experience has exceeded any expectations. I was signed up by Serena from the sales team who, from the very beginning, made me feel so welcome and at ease. I was always very apprehensive about joining a gym as I never had the confidence, but Serena was so helpful and kind and patient with all of my questions! The Spa is beautiful and is my favourite place to relax. It has so many different facilities - nothing like any of the competitors I had toured prior to joining. I cannot recommend it enough! All staff are helpful and welcoming, but special thanks to Serena for making me feel so comfortable in the process and beyond.

Have been a member for the last 3 months and I wish I had joined sooner. The facilities are great and the Spa is exceptional. I have yet to try out the food they offer in the lounge, so I can't comment on that, but from what I have seen it appears adequate if not a bit pricey. If you are looking for a gym that has more to offer than a standard gym then David Lloyd Raynes Park is definitely a good choice.

I was joined by Serena who gave me a really detailed informative tour. She has remained a constant help throughout my whole time at this club As a tennis coach the key joining factor for me was the tennis offering and it has lived up to everything Serena said it would be and more. Just the tennis and the spa alone is amazing value for money let alone all of the other facilities they have

Probably the worst club I've been a part of. They charge £200 a month for an atmosphere where you are always on edge. People constantly stealing your stuff (watches, phones, money). I've never been at a club where the police gets called so much because of bad behaviour. The club is always full of people so you can never relax. The courts are always booked so you can't play. And the club management don't seem to want to do anything about it.... There is so much potential in the club because the facilities are great. But its very very badly run and with 10,000 members (supposedly), its a disaster

I had such a great experience with one of David Lloyd's superstars, Anna Holden. I bumped into Anna at the coffee area in Raynes Park DL; I explained to Anna that someone from DL HQ was supposed to contact me and help set my daughter up for a gym membership, which did not happen.
