Been wanting to come here for a while, so very glad to have finally gotten the chance. Came as a group of four for dinner on a Saturday evening. It's fairly small inside so it would be best to book a table in advance. We ordered a Sakura platter to share between 2 people each, a good choice if you don't know where to start as the menu all looked great. To add to the platter we ordered a chicken, and a pork belly yakitori. Between the four of us two platters, and two sets of yakitori/gyoza was enough to satisfy us, but could easily have had more myself! There was not a single bad part of the meal, it was all 10/10 so I will definitely be returning as soon as I can.

All of the dishes that I ordered had amazing flavour, although the salmon skin dragon roll wasn't my favourite it still had plenty of umami. Shout out to the Rainbow dragon roll on its variety of fish and excellent flavour. If you book a table ask to sit upstairs as it's very authentic due to the low table seating. If you're on your own or with another then there are seats right infront of the chef's kitchen, a great view of the sushi making. Would come again

Absolutely delicious sushi, I couldn't get enough! Service is always excellent. My wife has certain food allergies, but the chefs were happy to amend the ingredients so we could still order what we wanted. The staff were very attentive and accommodating. If you're questioning whether to go here or not, don't hesitate!

Initially booked for a specific time but due to a slow previous customer we got delayed by 20mins, but that wasn't an issue for Kiko who personally called our group to let us know of the correct arrival time. Food was fantastic, Sake cocktails amazing and service attentive. Can strongly recommend the Katsu Don! Will be visiting again in the future.

Brilliant. This is one of the best places we have eaten in for sushi, I'd highly recommend trying this place out if you like sushi and are in the area. I booked at short notice and the staff were good enough to accommodate us for that same evening. We ordered only cold dishes as we like that more so than hot. Really very very good. Upstairs dining has a traditional feel to it whereby you are seated not on chairs but on a raised floor with the table set within a cut out of the floor. Loved that. The staff here are excellent friendly and polite just as you'd hope for. I will 100% be booking a table here next time I'm in town.

Loved this restaurant! 👌🏽 The sushi menu is extensive, offering the opportunity to try new dishes. The staff are the friendliest and super down to Earth 🙌🏽. We ordered so much sushi, it was heavenly. The chef even offered us a few extra cuts to try out on the house 🤤 What we didn't finish we took back home with us. Some of the highlights were the salmon sashimi which just melts in your mouth, the wagyu beef which I finally tried for the first time and loved and also the spicy tuna special roll. Only bit of constructive criticism I'd offer is that some of the sushi dishes that we ordered had a bit too much mayo/condiment on it. But other than that I'm real excited about heading back there again. 😍👌🏽

Popped in here with my sister for lunch today. Oh wow the food! We are veggie and had an absolute feast. Real highlights were the agadashi tofu and the kombu seaweed salad but everything was fresh and so tasty. Service lovely too. They have a really well priced set menu too which seemed very popular.

Very good sushi, and it’s not too expensive either. Appear to have seating upstairs too.

Incorrect prices on website, everything had increased by between £0.5p-£4.00 per item. Called to query and spoke to manager who initially took the order. They didn’t care and when I queried it they explained “we will update it later this week”. I continued to list off items they over charged me for so they coils have a list of the incorrect items on their menu and everything I said they seemed to think I was confused and at the end of the conversation they said “sorry for your confusion” once and they appeared to think it was my fault for querying it. It appears they can just charge whatever they like at the door and when you call for an explanation, there is a sarcastic apology and then after keeping them on the phone they change their response to “we will update that tonight”. So the response changed from a week ago to tonight. Would of been nice to have been offered a reimbursement for the false pricing or even an apology would of been nice. Now I waste my time with this review and getting annoyed at the lack of customer service here. Negatives: False advertisement and bad customer service, noodles were pretty poor quality and so was the rice. Sushi was good but certainly not worth the price tag. Only positive I have is when I walked in to collect it, the place and atmosphere looked nice and trendy. I would of not left this review if the customer service was better or even if I had just received an apology, but all I received was a sarcastic apology from the manager saying I was confused. I don’t understand how it is me that’s confused when they advertise one price but charge another…. First time I’ve been here and it will be the last.

This place is great. Arguably the best restaurant in TW. The food is as good as other Japanese restaurants of comparable price in London and somewhat unbelievably for TW, it’s not really a chain. It isn’t cheap cheap but it’s no more expensive than the cheaper Japanese restaurants in London (usually you end up paying a premium because there isn’t the competition). The staff are friendly. Last time we went we sat at the bar counter and it was impressive to see how calm the chefs were

We were very lucky to get a place for two walk ins at 7pm on a Saturday night and luckily we were seated on stools at a bar near the door. The waitress noticed we were cold and closed the door for us. After we navigated the enormous menu the waitress took our large order. We ordered several dishes from the menu to share and they all arrived one after the other as we ate. Every dish was great and some were exceptional, highlights are the pork belly yakktori, mixed fish ceviche and okonomoyaki. The venue has a great atmosphere, service was brilliant, food was cooked wonderfully and everything priced very reasonably. This is maybe my favourite Japanese restaurant now. Portion sizes were huge, some of my photos are taken after half was eaten, kept forgetting as they looked so good we just dove in. Thanks for an awesome meal and evening! Book in advance….

We had a great time at this restaurant, the atmosphere was great, the service was lovely and the food was absolutely delicious. The chicken Katsu and Takoyaki are an absolute must try! We will soon be back!

We were so lucky to try the best sushi in Tunbridge Wells. We loved the prawn spring rolls with jalapenos source, the grilled bream, the beef black Angus steak and the sushi was amazing.

👍👍 First visit to Dodomi last night did not disappoint. Though we live in TW, I only found out about this place from FB and Instagram about 4 months ago.
