After being let down by our original wedding venue during Covid, we found solace in The Plough at Leigh. Not only were they amicable and accommodating for our big day, but they went above and beyond their call of duty for our big day (particularly as our vodka luge turned up earlier than planned last minute and had to be squeezed into their walk in freezer until the big reveal in the evening!). The day was so perfect and the venue so picturesque. A massive thank you to Hazel, Della, Nikki and the rest of the team as you were all so attentive on the day. Everything went as planned and I could not have asked for more. Thank you ever so much for making our day so special. We will be back to reminisce (and to also enjoy the lovely food you serve!!) Absolutely wonderful pub with exceptionally good food! It even boasts a brilliant veggie "burger" with the option of a gluten-free bun. Excellent local beers, water for the dog, and a friendly atmosphere. What more could you want?!

We had our wedding reception here, it was such an amazing day and every member of staff was wonderful. From the very first meeting 20 months prior, up until our wonderful day, nothing was too much trouble. They have given us advice and answered every question, even things that were asked on a whim. Our whole day was made perfect by everyone at The Plough and Barn at Leigh ❤️

Great late lunch with the grandkids in the glorious garden. Had a wonderful afternoon with wonderful food, staff and service. Was very happy the kitchen doesn’t close at 2pm like some pubs. Excellent play area for the children and shaded area under the trees protecting us from the heat of the direct sun. Thoroughly recommend.

As well as a great space and place for all sorts of functions (wedding receptions, conferences etc.( it is also the venue used for The Indian Bazaah twice a year. The Plough and Barn at Leigh hosted our wedding recently. It exceeded our expectations. All the team were a pleasure to deal with. Their professionalism, huge experience and kindness was so apparent in everything they did for us. Many of our guests commented on the beautiful venue, fantastic food and relaxed feel to the day. We had the most amazing time and wished the day wouldn't end. We would highly recommend the Plough and Barn at Leigh!

We held our wedding reception at The Plough back in June and could not have been happier! The planning stage was very easy and Della and Hazel were extremely helpful. On the day all the staff were brilliant and the food and service was perfect. The barn and grounds are beautiful and the day was everything we had hoped for. We would definetly recommend the The Plough for any couple wanting a beautiful and relaxed day!

Beautiful country pub which is available for weddings. We came for a Sunday lunch following a country walk. Inside is warm and toasty with the fires going, and the low ceilings and hops hanging from the wooden beams give it a very cosy feeling. Outside there is a large garden, dogs are allowed both inside and outside. Food was delicious, I had the Cajun burger with fries. The burger was well balanced, with the Cajun flavours not overpowering the whole burger, but more than enough to taste them. For dessert I had the quince and berry crumble with custard. The perfect autumnal pudding! Service was excellent and the staff were friendly and easy to talk to, which makes for a very pleasant experience.

My husband and I got married at The Plough in April and could not have wished for a better experience. We loved the pub and barn from our first visit - it was perfect for us. The experience just kept getting better - the planners are incredibly organised, the staff on the day were so friendly, and THE FOOD. So many of our guests commented afterwards on how good the food is! The venue is beautiful, regardless of whether you get sun, rain or snow and they set everything up exactly as asked. I cannot recommend them enough and THANK YOU to the whole team for ensuring our special day was one we'll remember forever. We'll be back for our anniversay!

Always an absolute pleasure of a visit. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Lovely homely and smart atmosphere and appearance. Would give 6 stars if I could. Dog friendly, child friendly, open fire in the winter, well kept and open garden in the summer! Perfect for a start and finish round loop of Hayesden country park. Cannot fault it.

Honestly love this place. Lovely piping hot food nothing is too much bother.....staff are accomodating yet outgoing with a bloody nice touch of honesty. Wines need a blast of good Italian stock and then nigh on perfect....2nd week back and consistency is great. When it's busy be prepared to wait but by golly it's a tasty feast when it arrives! I went with family on mother's Day for a roast and it was lovely! The staff were super friendly and very efficient. I had a pork roast which was great. Lovely gravy and good roast potatoes considering how many tables they had to serve! Dessert was a mini selection consisting of a chocolate sponge roll, a cheesecake and a cherry Bakewell cake - all delicious! The building itself is an old converted barn decorated with hops and old farming equipment. It's been restored and maintained beautifully and has a nice atmosphere.

Great wedding location and in the summer it has a large beer garden with plenty of room for the family. There is a small children's area and plenty of room to run around. Food is good with a fair price

Went here for a wedding. I was disappointed for the couple as you couldn't hear them. Maybe there should be a better sound system in place. The food was good, and staff were lovely. The building was beautiful, the garden and surrounding area was so breathtaking. I wanted to find out more about the history of the place. I was unable to find any information on it. Shame I think it would more character to the place.

A lovely spacious country pub with a massive back garden. We came here for sunday lunch and the roasts were spectacular, we went for the lamb and pork and both were cooked divinely. Good selection of beer and ales and friendly and attentive service. It also has a huge space that is perfect for functions.

Love this place, have been visiting for many, many, years... Staff are very friendly, professional and accommodating. The pub area is lovely at any time of the year and the gardens during the warmer months are a lovely setting to relax. Food is very good and is reasonably priced compared to some other venues in the area. Special thanks to Darren who always has a smile on his face and is just a really good guy 👍🏼

First visit for an evening wedding reception. The buffet, including fish/sausage and chips in a paper cone were fantastic. Going to book a meal in the new year to go for a full meal. Looking forward to it

Excellent Christmas menu. Hot and tasty. The starter was a good size portion and well presented. Extra gravey provided, crispy roast potatoes on the main meals. After enjoying ourselves eating and socialising we had coffee and were surprised with a free little treat of tiffin from the chef. The staff were friendly and efficient giving the right meals to the correct people. It really was good value.

We got married at this amazing venue in August and we could not have asked for a better experience. From the very first consultation with Hazel we knew we were in safe hands and all the planning staff were readily available and highly involved throughout the buildup to the big day. No request was too much for them and all of our thoughts and feedback were listened to and addressed. The food and wine tasting days were terrific and everything that came out of the kitchen on the day was delicious. The venue itself is certainly a hidden gem and was absolutely stunning both when bathed in sunlight during the day and then lit up inside the barn during the evening. The day itself could not have gone more smoothly and that is solely down to the organisation and communication from the team. When looking for our wedding venue, we went to The Plough, we just feel in love and knew that's where we wanted to get married. That is just what we did on 2nd July. The staff are very welcoming & friendly, the food is so delicious. Stunning barn and beautiful gardens. we had an amazing day 🥰

What can i say we finally had our dream wedding at The Plough and Barn on the 8th July. This was our 3rd date due to Covid and Hazel calmly professionally helped us reschedule with excellent communication. The day could not have been any better we where looked after so well by all off the team especially Becky from start to finish. They accommodated every request and i just got to relax on the day knowing it was all taken care of. We where so lucky to get married outside in the beautiful gazebo, have a lovely day outside in the sunshine playing garden games. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and the food and drink was amazing and plentiful. Thanks again Mr & Mrs Oliver

Attended a wedding here last week, wow what an amazing day. The venue had everything you could want. Great function room with real character, resident DJ was excellent as well. What really was fantastic though was the food. Honestly one of the best meals I've had. Lovely venue with great helpful staff.
