Top marks for this fantastic restaurant! Went there with the work lot for an early dinner... The food was hot, fresh and delicious and the staff were continuously topping it up and keeping the buffet area clean and tidy. The selection was just incredible and it was quality stuff too... No different from a decent Chinese takeaway. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful and the owner/manager dealt with a situation with gypsies refusing to pay in a calm and professional manner. The price was extremely reasonable too. I really cannot find any fault whatsoever with this restaurant and was very impressed! I rarely rate any establishment 5 stars but this one definitely deserves it!

This honestly has to be the worst food and meal I’ve ever had in my life!! I recommended it to a few friends as I had been here a year or two ago and it wasn’t too bad, we went for a meal last night and the food was absolutely awful! I complained about the food and was laughed at and ignored by the staff… our drinks were flat and were replaced by something completely different, the chicken balls were raw and doughy. The fosters they serve isn’t even fosters. We sent all our food back. I wouldn’t even give it to my dog. We was then given the bill of £108!?! I refused to pay then had my phone taken by the manager himself. Who then called the police. He blocked my fiancé while holding my 8month old son from leaving and he was absolutely screaming by this point. The other staff probably his family were all smug about it. Other customers were leaving and they said they will never be returning as it was appalling food. Horrible atmosphere. The place is covered in damp. I would never return to this place even if someone paid me to do so. The staff are ridiculously rude. They couldn’t give a care in the world for their customers. Save yourself the money and go elsewhere. Despicable service, way overpriced. Atmosphere like a funeral. DO NOT GO HERE. You will regret it!!!! p.s.. the good reviews funnily enough are written by the staff….

-in response to Lewis Barnes review- I was also at the restaurant last night, the food was great and the staff were lovely. We’ve been here for many years. Watching Lewis and his rowdy family conduct themselves was embarrassing to watch. They were clearly after a free meal. They treated the staff awfully and were so rude. I bet their family dog would’ve behaved better. If they were disappointed, they could’ve handled it much better

We liked our dining experience in this restaurant. It was bang on the high street but was quiet once we entered the dining area. There was a soft Chinese music playing in the background which was soothing. The buffet was very reasonably priced at £11.99 and the spread was decent. Being vegetarian, we had limited options in the buffet but whatever was available was quite OK. Desserts were very limited and were ok too. The staff Nisha and Sunil, were polite and attentive and checked with us if everything was OK. The restaurant was neat and clean overall. Would visit again..👍

Tried this place with my partner tonight, I’m a very fussy eater so my opinion is not valid at all but my partner is the complete opposite and likes all weird and wonderful things. He was utterly disappointed, there was hardly any meat in any of the dishes and it cost us £55! The drinks were nice, but I was overly baffled about the jelly, being a plain Jane I was quite excited to see jelly but it was hard and tasted disgusting! Re the picture jelly shouldn’t look like this right? Safe to say we will not be returning.

This place has gone downhill. Went for a Saturday lunch for friends and walked in to a stale smell, and the food wasn’t hot despite us being the first ones in and it just opening up for the day. It should be fresh and hot surely? The food quality was poor and everything tasted microwaved. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’d just reheated leftovers and chucked it in the warmer without being very hot to begin with. The meat was chewy and cheap tasting, the starters were stale and chewy and all barely lukewarm. I will say the customer service was very good in terms of waiters attitudes, but I won’t come again as I fear there are some serious health standards being broken here. 12.50 for reheated, cold and stale food? Not good.

Good much improved from last two visits. Good temperature and plenty there. Lack of atmosphere, but clinical. Dessert choices a bit dismal.

Buffet, not worth at all. We liked few items, the spicy chicken wings, crispy duck & pancake, chicken satay, plain fried noodles and the beef oriental style curry, dont remember the actual name. Food was really basic. Staffs were nice and helpful. dessert option was rather poor.

It’s a small buffet, some dishes were really nice like the beef in black bean sauce but the other dishes were slightly basic. The sweat and sour chickens chicken pieces were so small it was hard to fish them out of the bowl. The ice cream was not nice at all, it was really tasteless and over frozen. It was an alright place I’d give it a 5/10.

Not been for a while and has changed in a way that the food is not as good as it was. However staff and service are top notch

As the old advert used to say, 'it does exactly what it says on the tin' you're not going to get a la carte cuisine but you will get decent food, and plenty of it. The only thing that lets the place down a bit is the very old decor. I've been a few times over the past 20 years and I don't think it'd been redecorated in that entire time. And the seats are some of the most uncomfortable you can get as they have zero padding. Saying all of that for the price you pay it's worth it

My wife loves this place she's been going there for more than 15 years. The buffet price is about £18 for adults, and it's discounted for under 12s. They have a wide range of dishes and puddings, although if you are allergic to something like caffeine, chocolate or others it might not be a good idea to try the puddings as they use one scoop/spatula for all of them. The waiting staff are quite helpful and are always aware of when the table needs tidying. Toilets are okay but not hugely clean.

Pretty reasonable for an evening meal, the food area isn’t huge but actually it covered all the stuff you would want to see. Every element I tried was really nice and found myself being drawn to every pot to try the next item. - dessert offering is a little weak but that’s not something we are usually Interested in. Duck was coming out nice and quickly which we feel is a way to benchmark a buffet 👍🏻.

The food seems quite hit and miss. It is sometimes nice, and sometimes not so great. Hadn't been in a while so thought we we try them again, but was disappointed again. Half the food didn't tast very fresh and the duck was like charcoal on this occasion unfortunately. Staff were quite friendly.

Had a meal with my family here. We used to come here many years ago. Still the same very good service. Not rushed, waiters very attentive. Clearing plates and glasses. Food very good and lots of it. Would recommend.

NOT VEGETARIAN FRIENDLY We ate here last night thinking that there would be vegetarian meals like sweet and sour vegetables or black bean vegetables because this is what the online menu stated aswell as the window. My husband tried Facebook messaging to check, but never had a reply. We had a few vegetable spring rolls with crispy seaweed which was extra salty, and broccoli and mushrooms. Then went to the mains and realised there was only rice, noodles or 'Dahl' available (in an Oriental 🧐). When I queried the waitress she said "YOU SHOULD HAVE PHONED...WE DON'T GET MANY VEGETARIANS HERE, YOU CAN'T EXPECT US TO SERVE EVERYTHING STATED ON THE MENU, WE JUST DO A SELECTION FROM IT". Well then that should be made clear and I don't think it is too much to ask for one vegetarian Chinese main course. There was beef, lamb, pork, chicken, duck, mussels etc. I think one of these could easily be switched to a veggie option. I have never known a Chinese or any restaurant not offer this. The price we paid for us all was not value for money at all.

It is quite overpriced, food very salty, luke warm, not much of a selection to choose from. Also not very sanitary as people mixed spoons, the food was very dry, chewy and the noodles were hard. I won't be returning. Paid almost £40 for it and I'd have been better off ordering from my local.

Drinks were quick to arrive, and checked if we wanted a second round. Food was topped up and monitored regularly. Our plates were cleared quickly. Very pleasant experience

The food was okay but it went cold very quickly which shouldn’t happen as the buffet should keep the food warm. The lids on top of the food was awkward to take off. For the price it wasn’t worth it i know another buffet that charges the same price for a much larger option with food as this was a big price for not a very big buffet. My mom complained to the manager saying she didn’t want to pay for hers but she would mine as she had two plates worth and didn’t eat much as it went very cold very quickly but the manager was quite rude and refused to take it off the bill and all he did was given my drink for free. He kept making up excuses as to why the chips were cold but no food should go cold as quick as their food did. He also didn’t want to let my mom take home a chocolate cake slice after paying for her meal because she had to eat it there instead of taking it home but that made zero difference.
