Where
on
earth
is
my
beer
belly?!?!
What
kind
of
place
do
you
call
this?
I
didn’t
even
plan
to
join
a/this
gym
and
look
what’s
happened
to
me
now!
My
son
did
two
trial
sessions,
enjoyed
it,
then
fully
joined
a
week
before
the
first
lockdown.
I
continued
to
pay
as
no
one
wants
to
see
a
local
independent
business
go
under,
so
when
the
gyms
reopened
at
the
end
of
July
he
decided
that
he
didn’t
want
to
go…Roblox
took
over
his
life!
As
I
was
paying
for
it
I
thought
why
not
give
it
a
try?
I
thought
that
I
was
fairly
fit
as
I
played
football
5
times
a
week,
obviously
having
a
few
beers
after
in
the
clubhouse
was
mandatory
too,
boy
was
I
wrong.
What
happened
next
is
unbelievable…
So
from
July
2020
I
went
to
a
fighting
fit
class
on
a
Tuesday,
I
thought
that
I
was
fit
remember,
and
didn’t
stop
aching
in
places
that
I
never
knew
existed
for
nearly
two
weeks.
Then
I
started
to
go
twice
a
week,
OK,
still
aching
after
each
session
but
able
to
walk
semi
normally.
The
addiction
was
slowly
kicking
in
and
in
the
end
I
go
five
to
six
times
a
week.
Then
it
happened!
My
trusty
little
friend,
let’s
call
him
beer
belly,
slowly
started
to
leave
me.
I
have
had
him
for
over
40
years,
we
were
inseparable.
I
used
to
ask
the
coaches
if
they
had
seen
him,
none
of
them
helped
me
to
reunite
us
again.
Instead,
they
all
used
to
smile,
talk
to
me,
give
me
advice
on
actually
how
to
LOSE
him…what
the
hell!?!
These
guys
gave
me
1:1’s,
wrote
up
training
plans
for
me,
gave
me
advice
and
tips
on
how
to
NEVER
find
beer
belly
ever
again.
This
is
not
what
I
expect
from
a
gym!
Surely
you
go
for
the
nice
coffee,
the
beautiful
white
teethed
people
in
the
brochure,
the
spa
and
to
do
selfie’s
in
the
changing
room
mirror?
Now
what
has
happened
is
that
I
am
addicted
to
going,
if
I
don’t
go
one
day
then
I
feel
that
I
have
missed
out
on
some
fun,
not
exercise.
I
have
made
many
friends
there,
the
guys
and
gals
do
actually
talk
to
you
and
help,
there
is
a
strong
sense
of
camaraderie
that
draws
you
back
each
day.
This
is
not
what
I
signed
up
for!
I
was
86kg
when
I
first
joined,
now
I
am
71kg.
I
was
aiming
for
80kg,
then
75,
now
70kg,
the
bar
just
keeps
getting
set
higher
and
higher
as
I
have
now
become
fitter
that
I
have
ever
been,
at
age
43,
and
I
can
now
see
these
6
little
muscles
in
my
abdomen
popping
out…beer
belly
would
not
be
happy!
Guys,
if
you
are
thinking
of
joining
then
try
it,
it’s
not
full
of
meat
heads.
There
are
classes
for
Kids,
OAP’s,
teenagers,
middle
age
spread
blokes
and
mum’s
and
we
all
mix
together
to
make
one
big
‘Kraken’
family!
See
you
there,
don’t
take
my
bag
in
the
corner
LOL!!!
