Very nice place for wildlife and walks. The sunset from here is absolutely amazing! Thereโ€™s a bit of traffic on the road for a nature reserve, but itโ€™s not unmanageable. In the whole a very nice afternoon, with plenty of wildlife and a bit too many birdwatchers.

We had a tour on the reservoir and it was amazing. We learned many things on how the clean water is taken from the reservoir to a domestic use. It was a never forgettable experience because we went under the reservoir waters inside the valve tower and saw the overfluding hole. It is a fully restricted facility, so take your chance to visit the reservoir if offered.

Beautiful spot, but much less water than in previous years. All due to climate change.

Was not able to find a footpath around or near the Reservoir which was disappointing but if you want to stand and watch birds etc there is a good spot

Great place for bird watching and usually quiet which suits me. My go to place to get away from life's stresses. Lots of good local walks across fields and through woodland. Causeway can be busy with bird watchers at times. Shame there is little access around the reservoir and SES water are restricting more areas

It's not my kind of place.... there are a lot of people there - mostly bird watchers - so its popular (are they allowed to go bird watching in the middle of lockdown?). Me personally, there wasnt much to see or do. I took a couple of photos and moved on.

Was shame, they is a public footpath that goes around the reservoir but itโ€™s in the woods and fields not on the banks.

A beautiful reservoir which you can't go inside it.

I visited this beautiful Reservoir over 10 years ago with my (then 12 year old) daughter. I was a little shocked by the lack of water on this occassion, which had dramatically receded. No doubt due to climate change. The birds were wonderful to watch and such a stunning sunset. Still a favourite place to visit. But next time, I'll bring a bucket of water to start typing it up again!+

This was a visit to the bird wildlife centre. Compared to earlier years this seems a little run down. Still worth a visit, but you'd better make sure its the weekend when facilities may be open.

A good view of the reservoir from the road. Good birds. Bushes could be cut a bit.
