Pretty walk from Tun/Wells over the common. Pub right next to rocks. Rocks are interesting and fun to explore. The actual Toad rock does look a bit like a toad. Area is sadly spoilt a bit by the amount of litter everywhere.

Called toad rock because there’s a rock that looks a bit like a toad. Awesome little spot for kids to explore. Lots of caves and crevices and rocks to climb on. Some have steps cut into them. Some old rock graffiti too. Well worth exploring if you’re in the area. There’s a bit of a sandpit area too. There’s a pub right next door. Free parking on the road but it can get busy during summer/weekends.

It's a big rock shaped like a toad! What more could you want? Cool little tourist attraction in a quiet area. It stands out a lot from the other rock formations in the area. There is a pub nearby, it's easy to walk to and there is parking on the road.

Toad Rock is a small outcrop if sandstone rocks with a patch of sand. It's a great little place for kids to play. However, 100 people would fill the place. For parents who prefer lots of safety features, stay away. There are no fences to stop you falling, only your common sense.

Not easy to find the parking place in the narrow streets. But if you lucky, after that you can enjoy the climbing and viewing.

Lovely place for a picnic, great for the kids to scramble. Parking is roadside so respect needed for locals .

Distinctive rock forming part of a larger sandstone outcrop. With Bulls Hollow just across the road, it's one of the best examples of sandstone scenery in the area. From up on the rocks there are good views over the surrounding area, and some cuttings to explore. Head through the trees behind Toad Rock, and there's another striking stone by the terraced cottages. There's a pub just downhill from the sandy open space, and free parking on the road, but it gets busy by mid morning so it's advisable to arrive early. An information board opposite Toad Rock explains the area's geology and history.

I’ve spent over 30 years loving just down the road from these rocks. I grew up playing on them. Now I take my nephews and nieces there to play. Great area for adults and kids.

The kids loved to climb the rocks! It may look difficult or dangerous, but it was okay.

What a joke, people visiting it as these are some huge rocks.. this is my third country so not impressed with what they are excited about some small cluster of rocks..

Grew up in the area. Love bringing my kids here and showing my childhood!. Beautiful local pub close by as well.
