I never write reviews but I’ve just had such an awful customer service experience in this store I feel it needs to be said. Myself and my partner were shopping for suits and particularly with the cost of the garment we had multiple sizes in the fitting room to ensure we got the best fit. All the blazers he had tried I placed back on the hangers and hung the trousers by the belt loops. A employee named Rebecca came up to me and asked if the hung garments were mine. I responded “yes” and she replied in a very abrupt tone “can you hang them up properly”. I replied that I did not know how to hang them up in the m&s way as I do not work there and she said “suits are never hung that way” continuing in a very hostile tone. I commented that I felt she was being unnecessarily rude and she replied saying “well I think you are being unnecessarily untidy”. I worked in retail for years and would never be disrespectful as I know how frustrating it can be to find a pile of clothes left in a changing room so would never leave things in that way. All items were hung neatly just clearly not in the precise m&s style as I do not work there I do not know that way. My partner came out of the changing room at this point and asked her if she was being serious with her tone and if this is how customers are treated here. She completely blanked him and did not even turn her back. I told her to show me how to hang in the m&s way then and she preceded to demonstrate (again in an incredibly hostile manner). Another customer was also present and was very shocked at the employees rudeness. She joked that she should watch so “she doesn’t get in trouble too” and was confused by the employee as it is her job to put the clothes back on the shop floor in the right way. Myself and my partner are in our early 20s so I don’t know if her rudeness was directed because we are young or if she speaks to all customers like that; whichever it is, this was unacceptable. We spoke with a manager who was apologetic but I am not satisfied that anything has been done about the incredibly rude staff member.

I wanted to use cash to pay for my shopping (food hall), cashier took the brand new £50 note and inspected it pointing it upwards towards the light in the ceiling (no idea why he thought that was needed) but that was not enough, he called two more people who probably were his managers and one of them put his face mask down and sniffed the £50 (oh yes he actually did that) put his mask back on and confirmed with a nod of his head that the note was fine. I felt like I was in a comedy show, shame I didn’t filmed it, it would have been a hit on the internet. Plastic pound note expert by sniffing can be found in this particular store 😁 thank you M&S for the entertainment

We love M&S and customer service here is always spot on. But we visited M&S cafe today. Price of kids meal had gone up, portion of kids hot food shrank so much. The place is unacceptably dirty and without necessities such as tissues and glass, overflown rubbish bin, dirty floor and very very dirty toilet. A shame because we really like our local M&S

Good selection of food and clothing Store clothing section has been moved around so it is harder to walk in and go straight to food as there is no clear path anymore...

Sally, one of the Wine Advisors went above and beyond when I found a foreign body in my M&S breakfast. She not only did everything she could to compensate me, she also brought the report to my place of work later in the day when she realized that I was on my lunch break and that it was using up my time while we wrote out the report. She is an asset to the team, and deserves the recognition for her outstanding customer service. Thanks again, Sally! 😊

Very nice clean store, quite modern inside the Victoria mall. From very traditional Marks & Spencer's fashion to upbeat Christmas cards, and a food court which offers a different & tasty range to supplement your local shops stock. Great ideas in wheat free, free from etc. Surprised there isn't a further floor for children's clothes, toys, homeward & cafe. It's nice, in miniature!

Used to live in RTW. This is now quite a poor store and worse than the Canterbury CIty Centre store which in any case is much larger and better stocked. Very limited children's wear. Two rough children with equally rough parents were in the area. One left a slush puppy on the floor which I nearly slipped on. If it had been my mother she would have fallen and broken her leg. The rough people even stole a child's top for which I told the members of staff unlike us who paid for my niece's clothing at the till. Cafe is okay and toilets are clean but it was dire.

Reasonable and friendly service. Selection limited. There is a good food hall here with all the usual spread. Also click and collection point

I know these are different and difficult times but I went to collect an order from the usual collection desk but was told to join the general queue which was literally half way down the store with only 2 cashiers on who had to go for click and collect orders for customers. As I got to nearly the front I was told to go to the collection desk whether I had bought items in the shop or collecting! Crazy and I understand staff are being made redundant at this store. There was a "supervisor" flitting about who would have been better served manning a till!! Not usual M&S service🥴

I've always been very fond of Marks and Spencer's. This branch is ideal. The staff are ever so friendly and approachable and very helpful. The food hall is fantastic. The clothes aren't as stylish as before but there is a good selection and I noticed that they keep changing and updating them. I wouldn't say the tea shop coffee shop is one of the best but it's ok

Variety of food, clothes, etc. Nice staff.

We went for coffee in the cafe at Victoria Place, the staff were lovely as usual but the floor where we sat had food all over the floor. Almost certainly thrown by a baby, but we also had to clear the table ourselves before sitting down, which you really shouldn't have to do.

Always been and always will be a great shopping experience. Helpful staff and good quality goods!

Very rude lady supervising the self checkout section on Friday 28th of September around midday .She should get some proper customer service training . Very dissatisfied !

Not a large selection of cupboard food but bakery is excellent
