It began with our entry to the restaurant, beautiful seating area, clean and not noisy. Ordered Hummus as the starter and received a generous amount of humus but I cannot say the same for the bread. Being from Turkey, I know what to expect when it comes to humus. The humus was great, not to thick and not too soft. Great Taste! Main meal, ordered hot piri with chips and seafood paella. Beginning with the piri chicken and chips, I was left shocked both in disgust but delight. There is only one way to describe what the chicken tasted like, and that is a fusion of dry moistness. Some parts of the chicken were extremely dry whereas other parts were flavourful and juicy. The chips were soggy and overly salty. Next came the Seafood Paella which consisted of rice and peas, mussels and king prawns/small prawns. First I tried the rice and peas, it was flavourful and alive with satisfaction. After that, I decided to try the mussels which bursted with flavour. Lime went great with it. The King prawns and small prawns were nothing special, just your average prawns. Overall 7/10 at a push, although I must admit customer service was great. Definitely advise going here if your with friends or family and are looking for a nice meal.

Sadly…I will not go again. have been to this restaurant 3 times. First time August 2021. Food was good those two visits. So I went a third time August 2022. Took my family there having raved about it for ages. I was embarrassed by the end of the meal. Booked a table for 4. I will just say nice waiting staff but the ,service was so slow and they forgot things till we kept reminding. Including asking for one main dish. But most importantly the food quality was Poor. They must have a new chef or something as all our food was not even worth a 3 star rating. I was given a discount on pointing out my disappointment. But I still paid £80 after a discount and felt slightly cheated!

Visited several times and enjoyed the food. Can be a little noisy but food is always good and reasonably priced.

I had the swordfish and it was delicious. My companions seemed to like their dishes as well. The chicken salad looked very nice.

Great food and fabulous service. I had the calamari and the rib eye, both were delicious. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place.

A fantastic evening dining outside, the food was excellent, service great, and the music from the bandstand exceptional. The atmosphere was great too. Have never dined at the Pantiles before. Will definitely go again.

Lots of vibe going on here, a very upbeat atmosphere with the Spanish music in the background and a busy little restaurant. Friendly waiters and good food made this evening a very enjoyable experience.

Live music and Italian food àlmost great, sadly the mixed seafood pasta which was generous in portion size came with a grilled king prawn that was very pappy in texture and not pleasant to eat, after telling the waiting staff nothing was done, the table next us complained about the same thing and we're given complimentary drinks...lack of consistency...let down what was a lovely vibrant atmosphere.

We ate very well in this comfortable Mediterranean restaurant. The food was generous and robust and satisfying. It looks like a good place to bring a family.

Saturday evening meal 29th April, seated in no time at all as we had pre booked , drinks ordered a very nice Pinot Grigio and a Chilean cocktail which was sour but meant to be and delicious . We ordered squid followed by sea bass for my wife and the calabrese pizza for me ,food was piping hot and I have to say possibly the best pizza I have had and I’ve had plenty ,followed this with afogato and liquor and I had a chocolate fondant and then a nice floater coffee . Can’t recommend enough , Carlos , Lydia and the team are ace !

I was here for lunch on the 17th of May with 3 of my family members. I can't remember what everyone at my table had but I had the seabass which was cooked to perfection and tasted great. We had wine and coffee's too. The service was friendly and very good. We dined outside on the terrace. I myself am an old school trained chef, so appreciated the effort that was applied. Excellent experience and well done to all the staff. 😋😊

Amazing and really tasty food ! Great service ! I would have given it a 5***** if they didn't run out of mussels for our paella 😁

It is average, the vintage of wine is all messed up but I didn’t really care. If we ask for a specific year of the bottle then you should bring that year not a different one but again I didn’t mind. Food was mediocre, service was great

This was really good. I like when water is put on the table as we sit down. The food was superb, the staff friendly and helpful. We will be going again.

Consistently excellent Mediterranean restaurant. Great steaks and seafood and a well chosen, keenly priced wine list. Evenings in the upstairs Grey Lady music venue are always fun too.

Judging by the overall good reviews, I have booked a table for one of the Jazz nights in the Pantiles. I couldn't have been more disappointed (and rarely take the time to post a bad review). To start, the food was very basic, far from authentic and overpriced for the quality/portions. In addition, it took ages to get the food and drinks (we have waited for 30m for four drinks to be served). Finally, they have asked us for the final orders (which we hade done immediately) for 30 minutes later to come back to us noting that they have forgotten the order and the kitchen has closed 5 minutes before. Any restaurant should be judged by its authenticity, quality, price and overall service and unfortunately all of them have failed on this occasion.

What a delightful evening had here last night. We were walking as along the Pantiles and we fancied a drink. The waiter was really chatty and we had a great laugh. We decided to eat and we had lovely food. I had a vegetarian pizza which was fresh, hot and tasty. My friend is vegan alas the menu gave no indication of vegan dishes. That is my reason for 4 stars, in the current day having no indication of vegan options is I believe a let down and without the engaging waiter we might have not bothered. I am so glad we did but I'd strongly suggest the management rethink their menu as they may well be losing custom due to their menu and it giving no indication of vegan options. One waiter didn't know what a vegan was. Overall though a wonderful experience in a warm cosy setting with friendly staff. Thank you, we will be back.

👍👍 This Weatherspoons is quite a bit different from the average 'spoons. Set in an old opera house, they have managed to keep so much of the original interior design and decor in place, making it incredibly eye catching. Be sure to visit the upper floors if they are open.
