Amazing location let down by the food. If a cosy warm country style pub is your thing, you'll be happy here. But, if you want good food, give it a miss. Our cola came out to us in dirty glasses, which was disappointing. We ordered the Korean chicken wings with Kimchi salad for £6.25 expecting to get 5 or 6 to share. 3 came out with soggy fatty skin. Flavour was good but the Kimchi salad was not very good. We then ordered a steak burger with fries; although we were first to get our food at lunch time, the fries were cold. However, the burger was nice as to the coleslaw. The fish cake with a spring onion and tomato salad was very poor. Dry fish cake, 1 piece of spring onion and 3 slices of soft Garden tomato buried under a mound of rocket. The fries were replaced when asked btw. The bill came to £39 for two of us. Overall. Lovely location, warm, dining room is stunning just a shame about the food.

Had a beautiful lunch at the Neville Crest and Gun today, we sat in the garden in the sun. The waiting staff were friendly and prompt. Food was delicious and the pub itself well set out and clean. Well worth a visit. We have been often and will definitely visit again. 31/5/23- another visit, another lovely meal! Pictures added.

Happened upon this place whilst visiting the area and looking for a place for dinner- pleasantly surprised with how wonderful it was! Really, really appreciate the incredible gluten free menu as I am not used to so many options. It did not disappoint. My husband (not gluten free) also really enjoyed his food. The staff were so lovely and accommodating as well. The atmosphere was really cosy and charming and overall had great vibes. We will definitely be back!

Haven't been here for years and was really impressed with the layout, cleanliness and improvements that have been made. A large conservatory and patio area to the rear which is covered by a marquee compliment the bar and restaurant area. Plenty of tables also in the large garden if you want to enjoy the sun. A large selection of drinks including Harvey's, local Tonbridge beers, wines and spirits as you would expect. Food is priced a little bit more but is certainly worth it, I had cod and chips which was a good size and the batter was crispy and light. Chips were thick and tasty. The staff were attentive but not intrusive. Certainly recommended if you're in the area.

I really enjoyed eating at the Nevill Crest & Gun. It is a pub restaurant primarily aimed at people who enjoy good food and a civilized environment.

The Neville Crest and Gun is a traditional pub restaurant serving fresh food, cask ales and wine. This lovely period pub is very welcoming and perfectly comfortable inside, with plenty of space. The staff is very friendly, welcoming and well trained. There is a good choice on the menu and it is just great food with a great selection of beers and wines. Had a lovely time there today, highly recommended!

We had an amazing Sunday Roast and in terms of quality, it is in my top 3 Sunday roasts. Online booking was very easy and effortless. We will most certainly be back. Oh and the nibbles were outstanding, especially the Sticky BBQ beef slider.

Lovely spot for lunch - grabbed an outdoor table and enjoyed a hour or two with lovely food and drink. Would happily head back for another lunch or dinner

Incredible food ! Exceptional service and the vegan options were unreal… too full for the desert, but without a doubt will be returning for they vegan cheesecake 🙌🏻✨ Highly recommend for any occasion and any gathering, friends, family …. Dates 🌻 just perfect

Rural gastropub on the outskirts of Royal Tunbridge Wells is an amazing historical area Eridge which should be appreciated by all food lovers in a gorgeous listed building . The Neville Crest & Gun country pub in Eridge Green, East Sussex is in a building with over 500 years of history and the ‘Nevill Crest’ refers to the crest of the Nevill family, the Earls of Abergavenny on whose estate the pub was built. It is a very family friendly pub in a relaxed atmosphere and lots of outdoor space. I went there two days ago and had no booking but a member of staff gave us a table they offered a vegetarian menu. Food quality and service were excellent.

Expensive pub restaurant. Does what it says on the tin, and the food is good, just expensive with it. Some atmosphere, but more meeting with friends rather than dates.

A very quiet, peaceful evening. A good atmosphere, amazing servers and the best food. A really good garden and parking area and they let dogs into the pub which is great too. Clean restaurant and toilets. The menu speaks for itself; very simple, traditional foods but they tasted divine and value for money is good. Would recommend for a chill lunch or dinner out.

Had a meal with my son. Great service and delicious food. Very generous portions and very impressed with the quality of the children's meals which can often be lacklustre. Staff were very helpful and attentive.

We went in a Monday and it was so busy. Great pub and oh wow the truffle chips were to die for; really friendly staff too! We will be back 10/10

Popped in for a quick drink whilst waiting to enter Black Deer Festival; what a lovely old pub, very friendly. We like it so much that we had lunch on the Monday before heading home. Lovely ploughman’s & ham, egg & chips! Delicious foods, good beer & wine selection, lovely beer garden too.

Was here for company's Christmas party, overall a warm and bubbly atmosphere. Very generous portions.
