Rip off prices. Had to pay £8.85 for just over 2 hours as I didn’t have the app. Only reason I was over 2 hours was because of the queue at the ticket machine. For parking on a piece of waste ground in the open air next to one of the worst shopping centres in Southern England? A joke!

I would give 0 stars if possible. Worst car park payment experience - and I had a few. Only one payment machine for the whole car park; the payment machine doesn't give receipts; you cannot pay online as the website doesn't work and the app is simply bad. Moreover, NCP thinks their mobile app is so great that they give you a price discount (reward) if somehow by miracle you manage to pay using their mobile app. I'll avoid this shopping centre in the future.

All the ticket machines were faulty on the day I parked. No notice to indicate this so the car reg recognised my reg on entry but I couldn't pay for my parking. After trying to call the helpline and I was 29th in the queue. One machine started randomly working? Apparently there had been an engineer on site supposed to be fixing machines but saw all the people milling around not knowing what to do and so left (GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE) The machine was slow and clunky and difficulty for everyone to operate. It also wasn't printing receipts (not helpful if you need to claim as part of work expenses) Spent an extra hour trying to pay for parking. What a waste of my time. I will never park in this car-park again based on today's experience.

Absolutely awful. Both machines not working, spent 20 minutes downloading and registering for the app only to find it can't be used if you have already entered the car park. Had to leave the car park then use the "pay later" website which seems to charge double the parking fee. Was there less than an hour before trying to pay and was charged £5.90. Will not use car park again, not good for the local shops if everyone else also avoids parking.

Nice big tarmac car park loads of spaces. Only TWO machines (one not working) and a huge queue as it's so slow. Small sign says about paying later, relying on the ANPR - this is MUCH easier. Get home, put reg in and pay online. A bit of a faff but I recommend doing it that way if the queues are massive.

Terrible car park. Pay machine is not working. Cant access to Internet even though my mobile can receive signal so the mobile apps is useless. You can only remind yourself to pay online within 24 hrs Turns out £5.9 for only 1.5 hr parking. And if you forget to pay online, waiting for the penalty which is probably £60

DO NOT PARK HERE EVER!!! Not only are there JUST 2 machines working which leads to massive queues and approx 15-20min wait JUST to pay (which I might add £7+ for 2 hours is obscene prices) you then will receive a letter with a £100 FINE saying you actually haven't paid so then you need to go through the whole appeal process and PROVE you have paid! THEN you get a standard cold and very disingenuous email saying YOUR appeal has been cancelled. Unnecessary stress and extortionate prices. Sorry Portsmouth, NEVER shopping here again unless you change your car park provider

Worst car park ever! Slowest most painful way to pay! Always long queues when it’s busy!! Machine is so slow! GoRingo is soooo much better!

One of the worst car parks. Only one machine working and you will have to wait around 30-45 min (at the weekend). App is so useless and you cannot pay it on the app. If you leave car park to pay later, you will end up paying £8 for 2h. AVOID IF YOU CAN.

Absolutely shocking payment system , not clear at all and not just the exceptional cost of parking but why is it cheaper using the app? No cash payment option and no receipt given either after requesting one. DO NOT USE THIS CAR PARK! I SUGGEST and PROMOTE using the PARK and RIDE which I should have done.

I wish I had read the reviews before parking here!! I couldn't find any signs with pricing on but on leaving found out that 2 and a half hours is £7.35 -wow! There were only 2 pay points (both with long queues). Two plus sides though - reg recognition makes it easier to pay and it is right next to Cascades so such a short walk to the shops. I will definitely look for another carpark next time.

Plenty of parking available, when you pay at the end of your stay you find out why. Extortionate price for the few hours I was there! I will not be parking here again.

1st and last time parking there. None of the machines were working. Downloaded the app to pay. Ended up getting a parking fine for not paying. Luckily I had an email confirmation of payment, app confirmation and bank statement. Was there for less then 10 mins, took longer to try and pay!!!

No security, one pay point, have to enter your registration,as it's basically a parking eye style controlled system. This means high amount of contact with touch screens, with everyone having to touch exactly the same part of the screen several times. But ironically, they want you to use cards for contactless payment. The irony was not lost on me.

No advertised prices before entering the carpark and as soon as you pass the barrier you are committed to paying, this would be a problem if the car park was full, although I could never imagine that happening! £2.45 for less than 20 minutes! Absolutely extortionate! And people wonder why no one wants to shop at the high street stores!

Fairly ok but the cameras/machine did not recognize my registration and to be honest wasn't quite sure of my arrival time so had to guess. Just hope I got it right.

Absolutely disgusting service! Vehicle was parked for the minimum time slot and then spent 15 mins trying to pay, and the machine was refusing to accept payment. I was late to the cinema where I had no trouble paying for a 3 hour slot at a RingGo site. Now NCP has hit us with a £100 fine without even issuing the first letter of a minimum fine. A fine that was due to their own faulty machines. They also gave me no time to appeal the original fine, even though they have accepted the appeal I submitted. Yet I’ve received no response. Ive also submitted a complaint and I have received no response. NCP are criminals and should be investigated.

7,35 for under 2,5 hours, prices are not showed anywhere, just a rip off, avoid if you can…

Only 2 pay machines for hundreds of cars, had to queue for 20 minutes to pay parking ticket. I guess they are pushing people to use their Apps when using the car park.

Ticket machine was not working. Said you could download an app on andriod. But I have a new phone so I couldn't download it. Trying to pay online was hard as I'd got the number but website was not clear... never again when the car park in cascades is cheaper and easier.

Having read other reviews I parked elsewhere, but while shopping saw that the line of people waiting to pay at one of the machines was more than 10 people. Admittedly this was Saturday lunchtime during half-term, but they definitely need to figure out a better payment system. I parked in the Cascades car park instead of here and there were no queues getting in or paying. If you value your time, and especially if the weather's bad, give this car park a miss.

The fact that I just paid £2.45 to park here from 1449-1506 says it all. Absolutely ridiculous. But fear not! You can pay 50p LESS if you download their app! Joy. I'll get right on that🖕🏻

Dreadful car park, the machines are either end of a vast car park so a bit of a walk with shopping. There are only two pay machines here and one or both is frequently not working. On 6 out of 6 of my most recent visits I was unable to gain a receipt - the machine doesn’t even tell you before paying that it isn’t printing a receipt so you can’t try a different one because you’ve paid before you’re aware. Very dated payment methods, no RingGo or pay mobile on the day - you can only select autopay and trust ncp to securely store your card details, something I’d advise against having now received to fines because their anpr misread my reg.

AVOID SO EXPENSIVE Paying here is a nightmare. Queuing for 30 minutes each time I've been, because the machine is purposely slow. Doesn't take cash and the app never works.

Do not use, extortionately expensive and you’ll queue for 20 mins to pay because there are only 2 pay points - resulting in additional costs. Would give it zero stars if I could

Both machines were experiencing technical difficulties and app wouldn't load, so it ended up costing us just over the hour (£4.90) due to the queues.

NCP are utterly incompetent. Pay machine not working, app won't work and by the time I've walked to the other side of the car park to the ONE machine that does work the queue was so long it took 15 minutes to wait my turn. Surprise surprise, by the time I get to pay it's now £9 instead of £5.90. All because NCP are unable to maintain a car park and quite obviously don't care about customers.

Been in the queue to pay for almost half an hour now and still not paid. Absolutely ridiculous there is only 2 pay areas for the amount of vehicles. App is glitchy and doesn’t work. Edit. Finally got to the machine. Froze on us so was staring at a loading screen for 5 minutes. Eventually paid. All the waiting around which totalled around 40 minutes in the end put us over 3 hours which charged us then for the whole day at over £8 AVOID

Parking in Portsmouth just got so much easier using the NCP phone app. Arriving and quickly finding a space. There were plenty of spaces available. Logged into app and selected parking period. The app then took the fee and I was ready to go shopping. While shopping. Phone contacted me to say I had limited time left. Would I like to extend my stay and by how long. Yes I would by another hour please. App confirmed extended time and I continued shopping. Recommended.

Car park charges are all camera based and seem to consistently be wrong resulting in paying £5 for 90 mins parking. There are only two pay machines too so expect to wait for 5-10 mins

Hate it. I like its easy to park snd get to. But paying is awful. There's not enough machines and it's so expensive

Lots of space. Not surprising at that price! Avoid

Literally right next to Cascades so very easy access to shops, may be quite expensive if there for a while, but it's a pay when you return car park and takes contactless payment

WARNING: my car was broken into at this car park in the evening and some items stolen. I’d tried to conceal the items, but the criminals knew exactly which window to break to get at them. So they might be observing people as they leave their cars to work out likely targets. Additionally, the pay areas are poorly lit and only one machine was working during my visit, causing a bit of frustration for a queue of people. Overall it feels like an unsafe and insecure car park, although obviously my one and only visit is somewhat tainted.
