A hidden gem. Perfect for escaping the rat run and enjoy the views and the peaceful setting. So many things locally to see and do. If you dont want to cook then New mills has something for ever taste. Minutes from a lovely golf club if that takes your fancy. Caravans are lovely and have everything you could want, including your own private garden and seating area. The town and area are very dog friendly. Definitely want to come again.

We stayed here over Easter this year for a week. The caravan (number 2) was well stocked with all the kitchen kit you need and a full size fridge/freezer. It was very comfortable and well priced as well. We dealt with Bethany who was friendly and helpful, even giving some chicken food for our girls to feed the chickens in the morning. There is a small play area which the girls enjoyed. It’s in a great location as well - with walks passing through the farm and a lovely little short wooded walk nearby. We hope to come back again!

I had a lovely stay here with some friends early December. Such a gorgeous part of the UK I have never explored before and the caravans were absolutely spotless and really well equipped. I had a wonderful time!

We're nearing the end of our week here at Shaw Farm. The weather was a little iffy at the beginning of the week, but that didn't matter as we were surrounded by absolute beauty. I've never stayed in a place so quiet. The view out of the front window was incredible. The owners are so lovely and will make you feel so welcome. You can meet the cows, Lotty the horse (who likes carrots apparently) and the chickens. If you are looking for a relaxed holiday in this area, look no further! I highly highly recommend it!

Spent a lovely peaceful week here. Ideal location to explore the peaks and nearby villages. Lovely clean comfortable accommodation fully equipped, spacious inside and outside with nice patio to enjoy the sun sets and scenery. Very welcoming and will definitely be pre booking for next year.

We used to visit here regularly, so were worried it would not be the same now. We had an absolutely lovely time! The caravan was new and well equipped. Ours even had a full sized fridge freezer. The views are amazing and its so quiet, apart from the odd "moo" . There are so many walks nearby that you could park here and not use your car for a week. It is apparently good for cycling too The caravans each have their own little garden area, which is lovely to sit in with a cup of tea ( or glass of wine). There are lots of attractions within a half hours drive, although we didn't go far this time. George was happy to show the children the tractors etc in the barn and my grandson was so excited. Will definitely be coming again. Thankyou George, Nicky and family for a great time.

I've been to several static caravans over the years but I have to say that this one was the cleanest and best condition so far. Lovely shower, central heating, homely and comfortable. The site owner is very pleasant and helpful too. Not centrally situated but has good access by car to all the places you may want to visit, and has great walking on the doorstep. I highly recommend, and hope to visit again.

Caravan 2 Feb2023 The farm is beautiful and has beautiful landscapes. My children enjoyed it very much. The staff is friendly. As for the caravan, it is comfortable and very equipped with almost everything. I do not remember that I wanted anything in the kitchen and did not find it.

We stayed from Boxing day for 3 nights. It was a warm, clean, comfortable caravan on a working beef farm. Wifi great. Nice chatty owner. Will book to return in the summer.

A perfectly peaceful base for day trips to explore the area and idyllic place to relax. Our caravan was well equipped with everything you need for a stay in the Peak District, it's extremely quiet even though your in the middle of a working farm and the sound of cows wake you every morning in beautiful surroundings and the sunsets are stunning it was all just magical. My younger sisters had a fantastic time playing in the small playground and really enjoyed their tour around the farm, we met the chickens who love the attention! The family are welcoming and friendly nothing is too much trouble and we couldn't have enjoyed our stay more, we can't wait to return again next year.

A few days at Shaw Farm in caravan No:1. This is their budget van but all the same it was very comfortable and well equipped. The views are very good and the welcome message on the caravan door was a nice touch. Bethany came to welcome me later in the day. Walks from the door, and just a short drive to New Mills town and the train station on the Manchester to Sheffield line.

Beautiful views, caravan very well kept, plenty of cookware etc.. owners very friendly and helpful. So many local walks, hardly used the car , had an amazing time, even though the weather was not at it's best.

Caravans were very well equipped. A group of us stayed here for a week and had an enjoyable time. Nicky and George were very helpful in the booking process and kept in touch throughout. The children enjoyed the tour of the farm! High end caravans are definitely the ones to opt for. The hill up to the farm is a decent hike. If only we could've booked some good weather for our week! Enjoyed our stay here very much.

Stunning place to stay. Friendly and welcoming. This is a working farm and so the accommodation and surroundings reflect this. We loved every minute. The caravans are clean and have everything you need. The farm recycles. They supply a little garden area for each caravan so you can sit out and eat weather permitting. An abundance of leaflets about the area and the history of the farm is kept in the caravan, making deciding on what to do each day a breeze. We were not made to feel as if we were in the way at all and you can take a careful wander around the farm looking at machinery etc. Bring carrots as their horse loves them!! Beautiful cows come and go through the farm at different times but it did not do anything except add more charm. Beautiful views, stunning walks & great pubs locally to eat in or stop off for a beer. We had a wonderful holiday.

Lovely working farm with just 6 caravans for holiday rental. I booked a van for 1 week 4th - 11th Feb 2022 Good as a base for walking in the area, with public footpaths crossing into the farm. Whole process from booking to arrival was easy , good communication, caravan comfy & clean, would return. Shops, takeaways, cafes, restaurants, pubs all loca in New Mills, Sainsbury Local & co-op in New Mills, large Tesco few miles on outskirts of Whaley Bridge ( local bus pulls in at Tesco)

We had a sick elderly relative but as always George and Nicky always accommodate us its a lovely place to stay any time of year and quite. We have been going to the farm for 12yrs now and watched it grow I would recommend that you book and see for yourself how amazingly peaceful and beautiful views. So thank you to all at Shaw Farm.
