One of the best place in Lucca. Beautiful view to hilly country around city and across the roofs. The place up the tower was quite small, but I was lucky and there was less then 5 people. I cannot imagine being there with group of people.

A must see in Lucca. The town has many towers that were all built in the medival times. Many of them were built as a show of wealth and power in the community. This family decided to take it to the next level and put a private garden on top of their tower. It is super impressive! Fun fact, none of the towers in Lucca are leaning. Some locals make fun of Pisa's prized tower for not standing up straight. TIP: you can buy tickets in advance but it is a major pain. You have to go through a complicated registration process. I recommend showing up in advance and buying tickets for the slot you want, just know that your preferred slot might be booked (but doubtful if it is an hour or more in advance because others will be faced with the same registration process). Entry is 5 Euros and you can stay for 30 mins. There are roughly 230 stairs. They are not steep but there is no elevator.

Very nice tower to climb, with great views as a reward for the climb. The stairs are easy at first and become slightly narrow towards the top but never really problematic. The views on top are really worth it; you can see all of the city and the surrounding country side.

Highly recommend: There’s a reason why climbing the Guinigi Tower is listed as one of the top 3 MUST DO’s in Lucca. Check out the photos, you’ll see what I mean. Addition info: - Last climb of the day if before 6.30pm - €5 per ticket - (either in person or online - I recommend in person, the line moved very quickly? - the steps are not that as overwhelming as you might and very doable.

Definitely worth visiting. We were there on a busy holiday weekend and had to wait about 30 mins in line. At this tower, you can purchase a combo ticket that also includes the Tore dell Ore (clock tower) and botanical garden. There is a nice garden at the top, and of course a beautiful view over the town.

The view above the tower is spectacular! Also, the information or trivias available while you are going up the tower is very helpful to get to know more about the city of Lucca. I just hope that there are more available space on top given the volume of people that visits. But anyway, 10/10 and everyone going to Lucca should drop by this amazing place!

Well organized, 5€/person. Reserve before or walk by to check when the next slot is available. Green pass required, temperature is checked upon entering the staircase. Charming place to have a great view above Lucca.

Towers are everywhere in Italy, and I have climbed quite a few. Beside the amazing view of Lucca and beyond, this tower has trees! Although a historic trope, that is a rarity today and makes this tower a little extra special.

The view is easily worth the price and the effort. If you get winded as you climb, there are waypoints with wonderful views. Take your time and finish the climb. The view at the top is spectacular!

Stupendous views across the medieval city of Lucca. Enhanced by the mature oak trees that grow on the roof. The last part is quite a steep set of stairs so take care.

Not a hard climb like Giotto's bell tower or Brunelleschi's dome in Firenzi. Lovely open airy climb. Very inviting area at the top with shade trees and 360 degree view of old Lucca

Most beautiful tower in Lucca. The fact that it has trees on the top is unique and spectacular. There are only stairs to reach the top so be prepared. The stairs start off large and are made from brick. Near the middle/top of the staircase, it becomes a metal structure which is slightly tight. So you may need to be patient and allow others to pass. The tower can get busy and there might be a queue as there is a limited amount of people which are allowed on the top. My advice is to try to go to the Guinigi Tower before visiting the other churches.

I was pleasantly surprised to see plants and trees on the top of the tower, providing pleasant shade. You can walk around the trees, it's a bit cramped here, hard to get around people. However, the view is very rewarding, with a beautiful panorama, all the towers of Lucca can be counted.

Beautiful Tower with a stunning view. Can buy tickets online or on the door under 8 year old are free. Lots of stairs but worth it for the views over lucca.

About 15 minutes wait. Narrow stairs inside! But worth the views from the top. €6 per adult or if you buy a combo ticket with other attractions then €15 for 3. A little crowded on the top so had to shuffle around. About 15 minutes at the top is enough. Would recommend for awesome views of Lucca!

An absolute must when visiting Lucca. Don't let the stairs put you off, plenty of resting places on the way up until the final section. Panoramic views across the city make every step worth it. €6 for an adult and €4 for a student.

Remarkable medieval tower with a few oak trees on top of it, from where you have a great panorama of Lucca. It definitely worth visiting it ! Hint: if you're fat - you cannot climb the last few stairs as it is very narrow !

The ticket is 5 euro. A short climb needed to arrive at the terrace. There one can rest under the trees and enjoy a view of the whole city, 360 degrees.

Climbing all the way to the top is highly recommended but might be an issue if you’re afraid of heights as the steel stair could be intimidating. 6 € very well spent anyway.

It's a Tower in the centre of Lucca But not just any old tower, there are a few trees growing on the top of it. The steps are easy to climb and give great views across Lucca and the surrounding area.

Well worth a visit. Easy to miss so keep looking up as it's not really signposted outside. Book tickets and keep to your time. Easy climb to the top.

Amazing 360-degree views of Lucca. Interesting way to get your sense of the town layout if you know the key landmarks. A few small stairways that get a little tight for us bigger guys, but the climb is easily worth the views -- especially from under the shade provided by the several hundred years old oak trees.

Beautiful views across Lucca at the top of this tower, with trees planted at the top! Easy walk up, wide staircases (only one very narrow part). Lots of places to take a rest. We went at 10:30 and were able to enter straight away.

Nice place, great view from above. Some steps are pretty narrow, hard to go if carrying a child. And the entrance price is somekind funny: 5 euros/person for normal price 3 euros/person for family with kids above 6 0 euro for kids under 6 My husband and I came with a 3-year old -- and it cost 5*2=10 euros because we were not qualified for the family-ticketssss🤔 The lady selling tickets said: My boss decided the price, I only sell the tickets. And her English was only good enough to give a few key words... well it made so sense arguing for 1 euro, but this sounds somehow funny.

Great view of Lucca. Not too difficult to climb The first seven or 10 flights are all wide steps the remaining of about six levels are narrower metal stairs but it's easy to get up there's handrails once you reach the top it's a great view. It is kind of cramped up top you have to wait for people to get out of the way so that you can make the circumference all the way around vantage point-wise but it's a great climb. Definitely no elevator here for so for those that are mobily challenge this is basically off limits.

Amazing view at the top of the tower. Quick heads-up, there is a narrow section at the end of the climb where only one person can pass at a time

In the summer the tower is open from 10.00-19.30pm and times change to later in August. The tower cost €5 or €4 for over 65 years. You can purchase a combined ticket with the Torre Delle Ore tower and Orto Botanico. This costs €12. You can purchase the tickets online and book time slots. I would recommend this as it can get very busy. They did not seem to restrict the number of people going up the tower. There was people coming up and down at the same time. Once up the top of tower it was very crowded and difficult to move around. You were not given a time limit once at the top. This gave you opportunity to spend as long as you like. The only problem with this is more people kept coming up. There are approximately 230 steps to climb to the top. There are wonderful views across the city. The trees at the top provide shade from the sun.

Lovely view of Lucca! We climbed the steps with our small dog Max! Staff at the entrance was polite and welcoming. Only suggestion is to add a one way system for when you are at the top of the tower, the space is very limited and people squeeze past from all sides, if there was a recommended way to go around the tower everyone would be able to enjoy the whole view and take pictures without awkwardly squeeze past.

Beautiful tower with a great view inside the city walls of lucca. on the top are some trees. only people that can climb some stairs should go there. the entry fee for adults are 5 euro per person at the postings time. students are getting sconti

A truly glorious view from the top of the tower. The walled city of Lucca is absolutely majestic. And the top of the tower is fascinating and beautiful with an abundance of large growth shade trees and shrubs. Makes the climb and the view that much more enjoyable. Nowhere else that I can think of has this much foliage at the top of a very tall tower.

Easy, but long climb up to a quaint tower terrace with thin walkways around the oak trees. Beautiful views over Lucca guaranteed.

Best view over Lucca - also perhaps the most touristy spot of the entire town. Come as early as you can (it opens at 10 AM), because otherwise you might have to wait a long time among fellow tourists vefore you can enter and climb the tower.

👍 Fun little city, you should walk on the wall at least for a bit. It is clean and looks great.
