Lovely coffee shop inside the old mill (go though the external doors, through the glass doors, forward and to the right) that serves excellent coffee, various other drinks and really good cake. I had the best Nutella brownie I've ever had! There's a variety of seats inside as well as an external, covered searing area out of the rear doors. Good coffee, great service, amazing cakes.

Nice cafe inside old huge building . There is outdoor tables where the roof is fully covered by glass with controlled temperature ( in Jan).

Visited Ancoats Coffee for the first time this month, and let me tell you, I am not disappointed. The staff is very polite, professional, and welcoming. It's a very cosy place and love the seats, by the way, good music and a good selection of items in their menu. Truly recommended it if you want to go for good and simple breakfasts or during the day for a snack or a regular drink.

Friendly staff. I took hot chocolate. The place wasn't crowded = the setting was relaxing. You won't feel rushed. People here can do their works on laptops and spend their time here.

Pass me my pipe, robe and slippers. Prepare to be blown out of the leather 3 piece suite by fresh, flavourful coffee. Served considerately with a nod, wink and a smile.

Love a coffee and some biscoffi 😍 Ancoats Coffee Co. number one goal is to produce great coffee and that’s exactly what they do. Originally established in 2013 as a place to showcase their coffee, it’s now the perfect meeting spot for all lovers of a good roast. Based in Ancoats, you’ll find a warm coffee shop with beautiful leather armchairs, low set tables and places to hang out. We sat in the outside area which is undercover and safe from the outside elements - Manchester rain I’m looking at you. There was space to feel like we could have a talk and a laugh without intruding on those around us. We ordered two coffees which were £3ea and perfectly made. We also ordered a toastie called ‘Bahn Mi’ (£6) which had a combination of Kimchi, Tofu and some other interest ingredients. We were surprised at how good this was! The bread was super fresh and crunchy, the kimchi added a little bit of spice and it was just delicious in all ways. A surprise winner in our eyes. We also got the Biscoff Cronut (£3) and you can tell by the name that it was good. Ancoats Coffee Co is also focused on ethical and sustainable production which is a huge thumbs up from us. Great location and great coffee. Loved that they have a book library for customers to use. Special mention for the gluten free millionaires shortbread!

Friendly staff. Good value for the quality of coffee, I was expecting it to be a lot pricier. Cosy atmosphere but could do with a few comfier seats. It’s inside so no way to enjoy the sunshine. Coffee was nice but all seemed to be fruity options which I’m not personally a fan of.

I absolutely adore this coffee shop. Their coffee is the best I’ve had in Manchester and their vegan cakes/slices are to die for! I go out of my way for this coffee shop. Staff are SO lovely and always happy to see you

Went there on a late afternoon, shop was around 30-40% full. Asked for a V60 pour over coffee and got told by the staff that they will not make it because they are “busy with orders”, no further explanation; was not even offered the option to wait for a bit longer for the coffee which I was happy to do so if offered. Went there with a friend and it was my first visit so I didn’t want to make a fuss (bad first impression though). I appreciate that it is quicker to make drinks like espresso/ americano than a V60. However, given the shop was not busy and there are 3 staffs working, it is difficult to justify the reason of refusing to make the drink.

If you’re a fan of independent coffee roasters and their cakes variety with quirky decor then go no further! Wifi connection for digital nomads can definitely be improved but all the rest is pretty spot on!

Superb atmospheric coffee house with coffee being roasted behind the counter. Charming staff. Own Coffee for sale to take away and brew. Just lovely having coffee in the old mill courtyard with glass roof to keep you dry & relatively warm!

We tried this place for lunch but when we got there we discovered the menu wasn't the one that's on-line. We asked if they were doing bacon toasties but he said not and didn't offer anything else so we went elsewhere. We called back later for cake and a coffee only to find that the special was a lovely sausage toastie on sourdough bread. It looked delicious. We asked him why didn't he tell us about it earlier but he looked bewildered. Shame but we'll go again and hope for better luck next time.

A stunning venue for a coffee shop, and friendly staff serving food coffee. Not real breakfast or options to speak of, but lots of delicious and cheese toasters for later in the day.

What a brilliant coffee shop. They roast their own coffee by the sackload and ship it around the city. Get a nice slice if cake whilst you are at it. And what a great location in Royal Mill just by the Rochdale canal.
