I have been here for a number of events now, and I strongly recommend coming here. It is one of my very favourite venues local to me. It has really interesting artists and events that are always worth checking out. Apart from being handy for seeing artists touring nationally, it has a number of local events, too. There is lots of parking nearby. Tea & coffee plus alcohol is available before and during performances. If I am having one, I usually order a beer in advance of the interval, as there can be a long queue. There is always a lovely atmosphere, and staff are friendly and helpful. The men's toilets don't allow for many people at a time, so there is often a queue, but that is only a quibble. Seating at events I have been at is not allocated to a ticket, so it can be worth being early if you really want certain seats. This said, it is a fairly intimate venue, and you can see very well from wherever you are sat. (There may be arrangements for people with special requirements.) Box office is open on the day of the events, but fairly often events I have been to have sold out, so it is best to buy tickets in advance, or phone to check if there are seats still available.

Came across this café-cum-community-centre-cum-museum after pleasant stroll along riverside. We were looking for a café for a cuppa and snack and came across The Courthouse Project in a quiet back street. Only noticed it was a café from the sign by the pavement! Friendly service and small selection of savoury and sweet snacks plus drinks. Did the job! As a bonus we enjoyed a complimentary visit to the museum (upstairs) including the old police cells!

Brilliant venue ran very well by volunteers I believe? Well stocked and reasonably priced bar with a good selection of ales, lagers, soft drinks and spirits etc. Bit of a hidden gem, both gigs I've seen here were great as views of the stage are decent, lighting is good and most importantly the sound is decent! My partner is 6 months pregnant so we requested an end seat if possible and staff were immediately accommodating and reserved us 2 seats on an aisle end, which was very good of them - Thank you! Going back for another event next month and looking forward to it I must say!

First visit was last night to see Brian Bilston. Easy parking behind. Welcomed by friendly greeter who told us where everything was to be found, bar, cafe, lounge area, loos etc. Warm clean and comfortable auditorium. Great small venue for wonderful evening.

Nice venue in an historic courthouse. When we went there, there was an impressive display of wildlife photography.

We travelled over 100 miles and wish we hadn't bothered. Left half way through. Farciscal organization

Saddened and dissapointed, operating like a corporate with no feeling or empathy when it comes to ticket booking. I booked tickets late on Monday night after working a 14 hour stint for a gig that had just been announced and 5 months away in April. My wife had to inform me that she had booked a suprise holiday away and I would be out of the country so wouldn't be able to attend. I communicated this immediatly (12 hours after the booking) and I have been refused a refund. I try to support small music venues and this is a charity setup but i'm not happy with how I have been treated after explaining the circumstances. I even offered for them to keep a percentage and refund the rest to me!

A wonderful community resource providing a wide variety of entertainment that ranges from comedy to poetry and classical music to folk jazz and rock. All at reasonable prices. Great organisation and super volunteers who do everything to ensure a good show.

A cosy and intimate atmosphere. Very pleasant staff and a good pint of beer! Do not leave going to the loo till the last minute as the men's quite often has a queue due to its compactness. Also excellent parking alongside, free after 1730.

We love to experience live music performances and are lucky with the number of wonderful venues of different sizes. One of our local ones is the Courthouse at Otley which we have been visiting for a number of years now. The range of activities is very wide and appeal to all ages, our main reason for visiting is music but we have also attended film showings as the range, again, is varied and offers films that we would not be able to see in mainstream cinemas. Staff are very welcoming and helpful, all are volunteers committed to ensuring a good experience. There is a small bar and interval drinks can be booked and warm drinks are on offer as well. We find it a comfortable and safe place to visit and will continue to enjoy future programmes.
