Just loved my visit today. Warm & friendly welcome. So many items on the breakfast menu and I’m looking forward to trying them all. I plumped for the Avo on Toast, let me tell it was no ordinary Avocado on Toast it was amazing! The service was brilliant. I can’t wait until my next visit!

Absolutely love this place. I can not recommend it highly enough. Been too many times to count & worked my way through all of the menu. Never disappointed. I've taken both vegetarian & carnivore friends & family & everyone is always super impressed by the choice of delicious food, drinks & desserts. Lovely friendly staff. Also dog friendly too! Finding good places to eat vegan food is tricky in Chesterfield. The choice and standard of food and the imagination that goes into the dishes is absolutely superb. Highly recommended.

Went here for the 1st time for my birthday, cute little place, great service, amazing quality and quantity of food with our portions and reasonable prices. Some set menu choices, but changes seasonally which is great for exploring new dishes and you know you're getting freshly made food. Will definitely be coming back again many times, new favourite restaurant!

Great little cafe. Doesn't look anything special on the outside, but the atmosphere, food and service is great. Semi-regular visitor now. Cooked breakfast was lush and the coffee is lovely as well.

The chef Steve and all of the team always make us feel very welcome. My brothers and I were visiting from 3 different parts of Britain, having not been there for 6 months and we were remembered from the last visit. The food is absolutely outstanding. The service is quick and polite. We will always frequent Figaros every time we visit. Thank you for your kindness.

It's hard to find the words to adequately describe just how good the food is, so we'll settle for pretty incredible. I'm so happy to know there's plant-based food like this going out to the world for people to experience. The chef is insanely talented and you can tell he really understands food and flavour. Regardless of your dietary preferences, this is a place you should definitely visit. To top it off, the restaurant itself is lovely and homely, with really great staff. Highly recommended.

Amazing tasty food...brilliant service...nice to know there was no cruelty involved in our meal...will definitely return...I would highly recommend the moroccan Wellington and chocolate cake. My daughter and I had X2 milkshakes..X2 Wellington dinners..X2 cakes and x2 coffees which came to £50 which in my opinion is reasonable for such high quality...totally plant based but would suit all palettes as it's just so tasty.

Visited as a party of 8 for my mum's birthday on a Sunday. They had a Sunday lunch on the specials and it was absolutely delicious. The staff were really attentive and friendly, accommodating of allergies and special requests for the kids. Only my mum is vegan out of the group but everyone really enjoyed their meals. Trendy place with lovely people and delicious, cruelty-free food. So refreshing that EVERYTHING on the menu is vegan. Choices galore and everything we ordered was beautifully presented and so tasty. We couldn’t resist the cakes so enjoyed the lemon & poppy seed and chocolate cake at home. So glad we found you. Hidden gem. So impressed that I booked a table for Saturday night. Trailblazer! Really nice surprise. We were in the area and found it through Google map. The restaurant is nice, chef and service very friendly and kind. The food was cooked from scratch and the chef was also offering to accommodate particular request, if any. The food was delicious and well prepared, with style. There were food choices from menù and suggestions of the day. Really enjoyed.

Amazing vegan food from an incredibly talented chef and brilliant friendly service from the lovely waiting staff in a relaxed atmosphere. the restaurant is flat throughout and there is an accessible toilet which means this hidden gem can be enjoyed by everyone. Quiz night on a Thursday is highly recommended!

We travelled especially for this café as we had heard good things (you know, amongst the negative comments from people who'd never been and were just angry at a place that doesn't serve meat lol). The food was brilliant. We went for the Sunday which had limited menu, but pizza works for me. The drinks selection was also great as well. The pizza and my side was massive. I saw a plate of Potato Bravas someone had on the table next to me and it could have been a main course. The pizza and the salad ended up lasting me for lunch and dinner later on, and I can usually eat quite a lot. Minor negatives, but not enough to bring it down from 5 stars were that the salad order was wrong. There was 2 options on the menu and I didn't get the one I ordered but ended up paying for it because that's what they gave me (I didn't know till I was given the bill and yes, I am sure if I said something to them they'd have been nice about it, but a minor down for getting my order wrong). Also, perhaps some people would love the huge plate of potato bravas, but I genuinely ordered the salad after seeing how big it was, so perhaps it is too big. It might have been fine for sharing between two, but I am not a fan of food waste so wasn't going to order something if I didn't think I could eat it. And an even smaller minor would be that there was no option of fries, which I just feel goes better with a pizza than potato bravas, which is a classic tapas dish. Overall, it earns the 5 stars and I am already planning to go back for the full menu. I recommend it, the food was great.

Another amazing meal at this wonderful restaurant. Staff are friendly, chef goes the extra mile, and then the real reason anyone eats out - the food. Honestly some of the best food I’ve ever had.

Visited Figaro last night for the first time since moving to the area as my neighbors highly recommended it so thought we’d give it a go. Being a veggie it’s nice to go to a restaurant where you’re spoiled for choice instead of only having one option at other restaurants. The atmosphere was lovely, food was fresh and brilliantly cooked. The hosts were lovely and overall the experience was fantastic. Will definitely be returning and will need to try out their breakfast menu one day!

A real find! Super friendly, very relaxed, & amazing food. Fresh filling & honest food! Unfortunately we couldn't manage pudding so we accidentally took an enormous slice of cake home to share later. Fab place!

Been wanting to drop by here for sometime, so I had some free time and an empty stomach so I stopped by. Had a vegan pizza (I'm lactose intolerant) and it was quite possibly the most tasty pizza I've ever had and that includes normal pizzas. Staff were great even offering me somewhere to lock my bike up during my visit. I would give 6 stars if I could. Can't wait for the next visit!

Wow, wow, wow. What an amazing find. I'm going to avoid doing the whole "this is a great place for vegan food" thing - this is a great place for food, full stop. Really attentive service from the waitresses and the chef personally chatted through the specials, which was amazing, and great to see that he'd designed the dishes around whatever he'd had delivered that day, including some beetroot from an allotment. The dishes were all completely fantastic, and the portions were all a really good size, which we felt offered great value for money. We don't usually have starters, and didn't really need them, but they were too tempting to turn down. The nicest meal out I've had in a long, long time. It's a bit of a cliche I suppose, but if I could give this 6 stars to make it stand out from other places I've rated as 5 over the years I would.

Family visit to Figaro for lunch today - we are all going to lie down for a few days now. All our food was delicious, staff were super nice and the place is done out with just the right amount of quirky. Very tasty - go there hungry!

Had a disappointing experience this evening. Had seen the great reviews and was surprised when two of the dishes we were served were very different from their descriptions on the menu. When we pointed out that our son had ordered garlic pesto linguine and had instead been served roasted veg pasta puttanesca, we were told that they did not have linguine and that it was basically the same dish. My wife’s Mexican salad was also meant to have tortilla chips but they were non- existent!

Figaros has to be one of the best vegan eaterys I've been to. From the moment you step in to the moment you leave you are greated by the loveliest people. The chef is a genius and makes the best bread and food. He also said he can make virtually the whole menu gluten free. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were huge. Definitely worth a visit. We got our next visit booked in our diary as we were driving home!

Absolutely beautiful little indi cafe/restaurant. Can’t wait to go back! The around the world menu looks amazing! Lovely menu, calm, atmosphere with a great bunch of staff. Going to visit more often as we really enjoyed it.

This was our first visit and no amount of 5* reviews we read could have prepared us for just how excellent Figaro is. We chose the shared platter for two as a main. The presentation of the large boards (per person) and extra dishes (one, a delicious aubergine dish) was beautiful with its edible flowers and variety of ingredients. Not that we needed it, but the portion size was huge so much so that we took the spare home in containers for the next day. The waitresses are so friendly and helpful and the chef came out to chat to us and explained about the sourcing of the ingredients. You wouldn't know that the cheeses were vegan and a lot of the platter could be called vegetarian. The chef kindly prepared the boards so I could have gluten-free. Altogether, a great dining experience in an attractive setting. Thank you to all involved.

What a lovely surprise! My son had pizza, hubby had Jack fruit sandwich and I had aubergine & artichoke salad. All fresh and delicious. Large portions, so we'll have to go back for the deserts 😋

The sandwiches are absolutely banging and the pizza is without doubt the best in the area. I’m not a vegan and I eat regularly at this place, the food is so good. Excellent food, very well put together and great coffee too! So happy to have this just down the road! Thanks to the staff for always being so lovely and friendly too!

Lovely staff and chef. Good strong coffee. Chef agreed to reschedule the spectacular mushrooms on toast for me as I arrived late and should have been on the lunch menu. You know how it is when you really want a dish. They were plentiful and delicious. Prepared me for a long journey after a physical morning.
