Update: we are now gym members too (having joined a few months ago). The gym is great, quite small but it has all of the equipment we need. The staff at Shobnall are all great and it is a really friendly place. Still highly recommended. My son and I visited to play a round of foot golf on the course at Shobnall. We very much enjoyed it, the course was nicely setup, decently challenging and in good order. We found the staff in the centre to be very friendly, helpful and informative about other facilities at the centre. Highly recommended.

I do love it here, I love the trees, I love that they have just planted some new trees and right now the wild flowers are beautiful and they smell amazing as you walk down the path. Parking is crazy on busy days, nobody cares and they just park anywhere! They wasted a great area for parking that they can't use most of the time cos of how muddy it is. A lot of the kids that visit have no respect, pulling flowers heads off, pushing bins over, etc. The paddling pool is nice, quite small and shallow but the park is terrible. I have been to so many smaller but better parks, this one is a waste of space.

Great place for doing a bit of track work. Loses a star due to car parking being a nightmare. The fact parking is a nightmare is due to how popular the place is testament to what a good venue it is.

Lovely place to exercise on your own or with friends. Haven't been inside of the complex. But with a variety of options you can choose from inside or outside (for free) it's definitely one of the best in the area. A free car park is an absolute bonus. As it's becoming quite common to make parking paid for. If you are into sports or just thinking about moving out of the house and start doing something it's a good place to start your journey of a healthier lifestyle 💪🤸🏃

Visited the skate park and children’s park. All pretty good. Quite busy. Fairly priced ice cream from the leisure centre. Didn’t go into the leisure centre. Good amount of activities. Kills a good couple of hours.

Extensive leisure and sports venue Running tracks, hockey pitch, date Park tennis courts football pitch etc. Also very nice children's play area with paddling pool busy but not crowded and seems well run. We tried the football golf which was fun for adults and grandchildren. This has definitely improved since I last visited a few years back. Highly recommended for outdoor entertainment.

This review is only for the football fields which our 6-year-old used for a football tournament. The football fields that offer a satisfactory playing experience. The quality of the playing surface is generally decent, ensuring a reasonably smooth and consistent game. The grass is adequately maintained, allowing for a predictable bounce of the ball. While it may not be the absolute best playing surface I have encountered, it is certainly acceptable for recreational matches. The layout of the football fields is functional, providing enough space for multiple games to be played simultaneously without significant interference. The presence of well-maintained goalposts is appreciated, as it simplifies the setup process and allows for a quick start to the games. The value also had lots of places to eat, toilets and there was even a bouncy castle for the children to use. So the facilities were great. However, one notable drawback of the venue is the parking availability. I think this only applicable during busy tournaments, but finding a parking spot on the day was quite challenging. In conclusion, while the football fields at Shobnall Leisure Complex offer a satisfactory playing experience with an adequately maintained surface and functional layout, the limited parking options can be an inconvenience. If you can overlook that, this venue is a great choice for children's football tournaments.

Took a couple of 11 year olds to the big bounce. They really enjoyed themselves. The complex is lovely and clean, staff always pleasant and helpful. Play area suits all ages. We usually walk our dogs out around the fields, staff always happy to provide the boys with water.

Me and my girls love going to Shobnall on a sunny day, we tend to ride our bikes down there, they make good use of the paddling pool which has not long reopened for the season, it's a decent enough depth, the park is an alright size too. Lots of fields around to play football and have a picnic. There is also a water fountain in the building which you can use to refill water bottles and toilets which again were clean enough when we've used them. They also sell slushies, ice lollies in there, I can't comment on price though as I've never bought them from there. It's also walking distance to the canal for a nice stroll to see the canal boats and feed the ducks.

My son was playing in the water, literally seconds after we arrived and he fell and banged his head. Took him to reception and they took really good care of him! Ice pack to bring the lump down, kind and caring. Thanks to them all!!!

I only went to the all weather hockey pitch, but plenty of parking and easy to get to. Covered seating available.

I did not use the indoor leisure centre, visited to watch my grandson play in a football cup final. It was very busy again, but I managed to get parked and watch the match. Nice facilities with regular services provided (restroom) football pitches looked well maintained.

Love this place as it's such a large and green space in our town. Multipurpose sports areas, lots of stuff going on. Paddling pool and play area. Foresty bits to hunt around in. Great.

I work in a school, and we hired out the complex for our school sports day. It's fantastic for the students to be able to use the equipment and the specialised pitches (like the high jump area and running track) The indoor space has also had an upgrade since we last visited in 2019, and it's looking smart and well-invested in. The playground and the outdoor paddling pool were also popular with our students as they were waiting for collection at the end of the day!

Plenty of gym equipment to use so you're rarely stuck waiting to use a machine. The entire place is very clean and sanitising stations are available to wipe down equipment before & after use. The tennis courts have just been deep cleaned and the race track + pitches have been relayed & refurbished. Public toilets are available as well as water fountains, snacks & drinks. There is a large play area just outside the building with a built in paddling pool for kids in the summer. Plenty of open fields also around the complex to walk your dogs, have a picnic etc.

I have visited the Shobnall Leisure Complex and I have been out for a cycle ride today with British Cycling. The East Staffordshire Lanes. The venue was a great starting point for the meeting place. Car park and toilets are good. The reception was helpful and friendly and helped me to fill up my water bottle. Thanks very much for that.

Worth the busy traffic to go to this park - free parking, lovely children's park with something for all ages and paddling pool - a favourite of ours on a sunny day.
