So guys I'm going to share my opinion about Patna airport known as jay Prakash Narayan international airport.you know we all have dream to board in aeroplane.so if you thinking about then you can start boarding from here. All Arial facilities & amenities are available.now it has got expansion agreement then after it will be more attractive . And day by day passenger are increasing in significant manner. The runway length at Patna airport is 7,000 feet.Patna airport is sandwiched between the Sanjay Gandhi Jaivik Udyan and Phulwari Sharif railway station. The runway length is 1,938 metres for landing from the east and 1,677 metres for landing from the west. The new terminal building of Patna Airport will be a two-storey structure, equipped with six aerobridges and an apron area to park 14 aircraft at any given time. At present, the airport has the capacity to park only six aircraft. It has one runway designated 07/25 with an asphalt surface measuring 1,954 by 45 metres (6,411 ft Γ— 148 ft).

This Airport is good but not best. The reason this airport misses the mark for being the best is that it lacks modern infrastructure, still this airport is being operated on age old infrastructure. Plus after the arrival the baggage received on the conveyor belt takes a lot of time. Parking charges as on 07/04/2022 for cars are β‚Ή20 for 30 minutes and β‚Ή55 for more than 30 minutes. Pick up and drop is free upto 5 minutes. The reason parking chargers are still reasonable because this Airport is not yet handed over to Adani.

I had been there to board my flight to Pune. Security staffs were helpful and assisted nicely.I faced a bit of problem in security check in. As I have visited other airports and as compared this airport is quite small, hence the waiting area, gate area security area and other chambers are also small. AAI needs to work on infrastructure and beautification of this airport. Exit gate becomes too rushy when a loaded flight lands and passengers leave the gate. Washrooms were not well maintained there and cleaning staff was not so considerate. Pro tip: If you are arriving and exiting the airport then kindly stay indoors of arrival gate untill your cab/reciever comes to pick otherwise auto drivers will bother a lot to reserve them, even after saying no they will come again and again which is very irritating. AAI should do something for the betterment of this airport.

The airport is small with limited facilities. It feels like railway station or a bus station. But considering the amount of flights that fly in, it is fine. Security checks are very strict as the volume of people coming in is low. Good in a way but it eats the time of travellers. Waiting space is poorly maintained and washrooms are below average. Water was not coming when I used the washroom. No proper instructions and directions. Hope more investment goes into the airport and it gets developed.

It’s more like a railway station than an airport. A lot of things can certainly be improved. When the state of Bihar is known for the birth place of Buddha, care must be taken keeping international audience in mind since that reflects our thinking. Make sure you don’t fall prey to cab drivers or auto drivers outside. They may overcharge if they come to know you’re not a local. Although Ola and Uber cabs have less availability, prefer that anyway. Visited on: 21.04.2022

The airport has been recently renovated but there are two things which can be avoided.. 1. There were dogs in the terminal. 2. There is this constant announcement for a 500 rupee fine which is is quite irritating and the waiting period should also be increased to minimum 5 minutes as the cars invariably get stuck on out Gate.....even if you manage to get out in 3 min you pay Rs 20.... is this a type of a scam to make money by the state government ?? Thx

Jayprakash Narayan International Airport is situated at the heart of capital Patna. If I compare it with IGI Delhi airport then. It would be foolish. the length of Patna airport is way smaller than IGI, but still it has maintained its charm and has enough space. But I can say it was too much crowded like railway station. It is undergoing expansion project right now. Food was available in the premise, which price was little higher.

Too many mosquitoes. Cleaning is pathetic. All the chairs are rusted & dirty. I understand building is old however, Airport takes no responsibility to maintain the cleanliness & maintenance. I see partial sense of responsibility. Especially no action for Mosquito in spite they know Dengu is spreading in Patna. Hopefully airport management will be in action soon.

This airport falls short of expectations in several aspects. The facilities are outdated and poorly maintained, making for an uncomfortable travel experience. Long queues, inefficient security checks, and disorganized boarding procedures add to the frustration of passengers. Limited dining options and overpriced shops contribute to the overall disappointment. Additionally, the lack of clear signage and helpful staff can make navigating this airport a challenging task. Travelers may find themselves counting down the minutes until departure, eager to leave behind the hassles and inconveniences associated with this subpar airport.

Good Airport but services and infrastructure is not up to the mark. Many gaps in maintenance of the premises. there are so much mosquitoes inside the airport, relaxing becomes a serious issue. But Staff and helpers are very co-operative. Almost all companies flew from here...

Small but busy airport. Mainly domestic flight operated from here. Rush is moderate but due to small airport it's look very crowded. Security check in boarding all are provided with ease. Since online boarding option is available so it will be better to do online web check-in. Boarding pass can be printed at airport from kiosk by self. But for luggage check in we have to go in respective flight operator queue to handover luggage, or pay extra for extra luggage or luggage exceeding its limit. Cleanliness is good, drinking water available. enough security staff/ ground duty staff for any assistance. Small cafeteria is available where some limited food can be purchased like burgar, sandwich, idli, coffee but the price is on high because of the airport.

The airport is situated in the heart of patna city as there are several buses & taxi are available from patna jn & gandhi maidan. You would feel hassle-free travelling experience to reach patna airport urgently. However, it is under construction as redevelopment project is under progress. This airport don't have the modern look & construction as some airport is made so beautiful. Passengers don't find any difficulties in boarding & exit. The airport Campus is somewhat narrow however there have been a limelight news that it will transferred to new location because the patna zoo is just near it. Birds frequently create difficulties in taking off the flight . By the way everything is good as fewer city have airport in main location. Birds frequently touched the flight & creates problems for pilot. Keep your adhaar must with boarding pass when you are about to ride the flight . Multiple flats have been built in campus for officer's stay or parents

This airport is underdeveloped. The entrance to the main gate of the airport says it all. Renovation and maintenance is very much required here. Service is good but this airport is less vibrant as compared to the big ones. Why is water so costly at all the airports, I wanna understand the logic behind it. It's a basic thing. But maybe it's above my understanding. At least options should be provided as all are not luxury fliers.

Great management. Safety and security is very good. Staffs are well mannered experienced and very good at their work. Parking space is nice. Halt and go service is great. Technically well developed in so many aspects. Information or announcement services are great. Waiting area is nice. Cleanliness is awesome. Huge premises. Nearby surroundings are filled in greenery, fresh environment. Flight are on time. Support staff are gentle and very helpful. They are very helpful when it's come for a new passenger who is boarding for the first time.

A bit of a makeover and regular maintenance will restore the glory of the airport. 20-25 minutes travel from city centre which is great if you have booked hotel in main city. Total 6 gates ( gates 1-5 are adjacent to each other and gate 6 is on the bit right)

This is the first time travelling to patna and when I landed in patna airport I was surprised to see that the airport looked like a bus stand. I just got down from the flight and walked for 5 mins and i am are already outside of the airport. The airport is not at all maintained well. Never expected such a bad experience from a smart city like patna. Hope they renovate this airport really very soon.

Jayprakash Narayan International airport (Patna airport) is a good airport but very small one if we compare the number of foot fall at this airport. It’s in extension phase however taking longer time than expected. Digi Yatra facility is also not available at this airport. Prepaid taxi facilities are available here along with other cab service providers.

The best part about this airport is that you get Ola and Uber in one go. Very easy to commute and easily accessible with the city. This airport is within half an hour distance from all the majority main places in Patna. I just hope the construction happening makes this airport a little bigger as it will reduce the load during peak hours. Please maintain a little more cleanliness near gate 6.

Worst maintenance. Too small airport and congested place inside, not enough space to maintain the crowd. It's not a silent airport and lot of announcements unnecessary. Uncomfortable seats inside to sit. Entry level itself has poor infrastructure, inside the airport has too poor infrastructure and looks like railway stations going better than this Patna airport.

Jayprakash International Airport Patna is situated at Patna City Bihar India. The only one airport of Patna. The lifeline airport for the Patna and bihar to connect with other parts of the country. There are many domestic flights are operated from the airport to connect with other cities in India such as Delhi Mumbai Kolkata Bangalore Hyderabad etc. The quality and services at airport needs to improve.

Jay prakash Narayan International Airport is a small airport near Patna Zoo,Baily road. I recently happened to visit this place for taking a flight to Hydrabad. It was a nice experience... Ticket with ID card is checked at main entrance of Patna airport. After that Check In luggage is checked in scanning machine where your luggage is labeled and temporary locked. After that boarding pass is taken from repective airlines boarding counters. In addition to this passengers can also take Self Check In Boarding Pass from machine available at airport. Advantage of this Self Check In Boarding Pass machine is seat is assigned to passengers free of cost. Check In luggage is handed over to this Check In counters and received this luggage at passengers destinations. After that final hurdle is Boarding Check In where your hand bags are checked and your whole body is also checked. Then passengers have to board in flight 45 minutes prior to flight take off with respective assigned gate number

Jay Prakash Narayan Airport (IATA: PAT, ICAO: VEPT) is a customs airport located in Patna, the state capital of Bihar in India.[4] It is named after independence activist Jayaprakash Narayan.[5] Patna is classified as a restricted international airport due to its short runway.[6][7] It is the 9th busiest airport in India, and the annual passenger traffic increased by (-7) per cent in the year 2020-21.[8][9] To meet demand, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) is working to expand and modernise airport infrastructure. The airport is currently undergoing ambitious expansion project that is due to be completed in 2021.[10] In addition to this, the AAI has proposed to develop a civil enclave at Bihta Air Force Station to serve as the second airport for Patna.[11]

Patna International Airport is named Jaiprakash Narayan Airport, it's such a small airport and Pilot will not get 2 chance ever if required. Although it has all facilities which has to be required. It's easily accessible and inside city. It has few shops where u can enjoy beverages as per requirements. This airport need not bus services to reach at Aeoraplane. One longue has on the 1 floor after security check. Another airport is being under processed and it will be either Saran or Bihita. Due to defence acquisition and control in Bihita, new Airport may be shifted to Saran or another place as per Govt policies and formations.

    1. Clean and maintained airport although very small. 2. For internal transfer at Patna Airport, someone has yo go out and again check in by arrival gate of airport. 3. In such an airport, food should be economical, but it is costly. In India, the airport seems to have a premium facility. To make people comfort food should be at a similar cost of market of Patna 4. Indigo operates here dominants after air india 5. People and staff are supportive 6. Newly made wash rooms are spacious and clean.

Resembles more like a Railway Station with age old infrastructure, lacking basic facilities. There was no proper eating point, no lounge (there was one but it's apparently booked for political babus for their huge bellies to take rest) no skybridge. Even washrooms weren't anything that tells you this is an airport. The only silver lining will be the short distance to walk to exit, which is usually high in other cities. This airport really needs a revamp in every way possible. Hopefully will be improved in the future.

Airport is small with very limited facilities. But they are not even able to maintain those facilities. Washroom is in very bad shape... No toilet paper, liquid hand wash was not filled in, hand dryer was not working and even water tap was non functional. I didn't have such bad experience in any other airport. Thrashes/dustbins were kept without cover. Proper separate bins for recycle waste and non recycle waste was not there.

One of the oldest airports in the state of Bihar. It is a pretty basic airport with nothing fancy in comparison to newly built airports. I have mostly traveled using domestic flights from here and my experience has been reasonable. For getting out of the airport there are decent ground transportation options however getting to the airport could be tricky as there are limited convenient ground transportation options.

Jay prakash Narayan International Airport is a small airport near Patna Zoo,Baily road. I recently happened to visit this place for taking a flight to Hydrabad. It was a nice experience at the airport which was not so big but quite well maintained and excellent services as well as security. The whole security, check in and boarding the plane was quite smooth as the airport staff as well as the ground staff of Airline were very helpful and friendly.Crew members on flights were also very good and helpful. People going for 1st time will also find it easy to go with because of all the facilities and staff whi are serving this Airport with dedication. Overall a great experience. COVID rules are not followed, people are sticking to each other. Infrastructure needs to be upgraded and there is no proper organisation of machines placement. The place needs to get more surface area, more number of gates, Thanks to the inside ground staff for their quickness in every single minute.

It was good to travel from this airport but the parking area is too small and place is located in very congested location. You need to use map to get to this place as sign boards are very less. Checking facilities are good not much crowded due to different counters and waiting area is good you can have food from local venders inside waiting area

for Patna it is an okay airport but the facilities can be increased much more. Only two baggage belt are there. Place is mostly kept clean but the airport needs serious upgrade. They have tried to manage their level best with the available space but with increasing traffic, the airport needs to be expanded. Traffic lanes are separated but more developmental is needed

Its high time to upgrade this airport. The management here in patna airport needs to be trained immediately. They have very less staff which creates a mess always .be it at d boarding counter or security check or at the time of boarding the flight.

The only airport for the whole of north bihar. Only hope for people to travel via flight. And problem is after that too they have to go to cities with buses. However the airport is good their are shols inside it. Boarding happen quickly if you are on the time. Staffs are cooperative. However due to less security check points there are long lines at the security point. Airport is not big so normally people get to their plane with their bare feet not with buses.

Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport is for domestic flights. There are flights to all important cities in India. Frequency is also good. But, airport building, facilities look very old and in need of major renovation or reconstruction. Maintenance also needs improvement. Place is congested and lacks cleanliness. Services were good and cordial.
