    I would give them 0 stars if I could. I have been dealing with my internet connection dropping for almost a month with no remedy. I have been contacting customer service and still not have my issue resolved. They DO NOT read previous notes regarding communication. After a technician could not fix the problem, I finally get a maintenance guy to address "pole" issue and he did not make the appointment which was a 10-hour window. Who has 10 hours to wait on someone for them to call at 8:45pm to say they can't make it but then failed to follow up after saying he would. Called to get a new appointment after telling customer service about my cancelled appointment and that I needed another maintenance person and they send a technician...again that CAN NOT fix my issue outside. I am so over this and I'm sure they DO NOT care since they have the market cornered here. This is UNACCEPTABLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL AND JUST POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, but they want the bill paid every month. Asked about a credit and told that I have to wait until the issues is fixed although I haven't had reliable service for a month. and it is documented.

    I am very upset with Optimum. Tuesday night our cable stopped working. I located the # to report an outage only to hear that my service had been disconnected. I located the # to report an outage only to hear that my service had been disconnected. I checked to make sure my auto payment had processed and it had on Feb. 1. The next morning after 8 a.m. I called to speak to a representative only to find out that SOMEONE had requested that my service be moved to another location. I was informed that Optimum called my # 2 times and no one answered. That’s their protocol I was told. Even though no one answered they disconnected my service. At that time my internet was working however now it is off also. I went to the local office today and the person there told me her supervisor was out sick & that person’s supervisor could not be be reached directly. Both people had to be emailed. This is ridiculous. We had been with Sudden Link since 1997. The service with that company was getting really bad however this mess with Optimum takes the cake. What is even more asinine is the fact that no one will talk with us to resolve the problem that they created. today and the person there told me her supervisor was out sick & that person’s supervisor could not be be reached directly. Both people had to be emailed. This is ridiculous. We had been with Sudden Link since 1997. The service with that company was getting really bad however this mess with Optimum tops the cake and no one will talk with us to resolve the problem that they created.

    The people at the optimum office in Ruston Louisiana, Have got to be rudest people. They don’t deserve the jobs they have at all!! They need attitude adjustments even the new girl!!

    I have been having major issues with my connection dropping and ping spiking every ten minutes or so for the past few months. I primarily use my internet for gaming so this makes it absolutely unusable. Optimum does not give a rip about fixing it. I have service call #4 coming up in a few days and I am not optimistic about getting the internet fixed. Each time a tech comes out, the issue remains unresolved. I just want the internet fixed so that I can spend a few hours each week playing xbox with my friends after work. I am to the point where I am contemplating cancelling the service entirely; I won't have internet either way but at least I will save $65 every month. I am paying for a service that I am not receiving, and that sounds like fraud to me. The second that another internet provider is available in my area I will be switching. These people are not the least bit interested in upholding their end of the deal and providing the service I am paying for.

    Since the summer, every day my internet starts to cut in and out when it gets really hot. I regret giving them my business because the service simply doesn't work. Don't worry about it though because if you live in Ruston, you don't have a choice.

    My internet service is ok. However the day I had my service installed the technician stole something from my house. One I reached out to him about it, he said he found it in his bag and the person he was training must have picked it up by mistake and put it in his bag. He told me he would return it the very next morning instead he went and bought a dollar store version and put it in my mailbox. I went in to the store and spoke with the manager, called in to customer service several times and showed the store manager all the messages between the technician and I (which she took pictures of) she told me that the cellphones are company issued so she knows who the technician was by the phone number. Here it is months later and the issue has not been resolved. I never thought that getting new service would result in someone stealing from my home!!!! If you get service with them, be so close to the technician and watch his every move protect your valuables and search him before he leaves!!!!!!! I wish I could give 0 stars based off this experience.
