My niece wanted Ramen for her birthday and Toki Underground ended up being the perfect spot. The staff was extremely friendly. The FOOD!!!…. Wings 🔥. I wanted to order more to take home. I am not a huge ramen fan but I am a sucker for a tasty fusion so I got the Taipei Curry Chicken, it was so flavorful. Toki Underground is also kid friendly and they have trainer chop sticks for kids. This is now our new neighborhood Ramen Spot!!!

Toki was so amazing. The vibe was super laid back but eclectic. I loved all of the trinkets and artwork. The food was so tasty, my favorite was the crab stuffed avocado! Drinks were super tasty and like nothing I have had before. I will definitely be back for more.

Toki Underground is putting on a ramen clinic! Their newest location in Baltimore definitely knows how to dish up a solid bowl of ramen. The last time I had Toki Underground ramen was 10 years ago when Eric came to Charm City to collab with Spike Gjerde at Artifact Coffee for a magical night filled with sips and slurps. However, tonight's experience brought back some good memories. The restaurant itself is hip and trendy, giving off Shinjuku Tokyo bar vibes. On the food front, everything was on point. The appetizers came out fast and furious (Tokyo drift). From the riff on karage chicken to the mushroom spring rolls, each dish was one umami bomb after the other. And of course the main event, the ramen was a slurptastic good time. I opted for the classic Toki pork ramen and went for the glutenous kaedama (extra noodles) to keep the party going. The drinks were also straight fire. I had both the Toki Monster which was their version of an old fashioned but included a grilled pork belly garnish (!!!) as well as the Last Samaurai which cleverly used the Japanese root beer cola soda Hey Song. Both were fantastic examples of mixology, being perfectly balanced down to the last sip. Overall, I have nothing but praise for my Toki Baltimore experience and can't wait to come back again!

Delicious ramen! Our party had the vegan mushroom ramen, spicy kimchi ramen (pictured), and the gluten free ramen (pictured) bowl. Everyone was happy! I added extra spice and an egg to my vegan bowl. The whole menu looked great and I can’t wait to go back and try more. The interior of the main restaurant was awesome and funky, very fun vibes. We were in the side room, which was a little less fun, but not a bad experience.

I live in northern Baltimore County (not quite Hereford Zone) and I love going to the D.C. location for ramen. The drinks and food have always been on point and always hits the spot and leaves me food coma happy every time I went. So when the Baltimore City location opened up, you bet I had to go! We sat at the bar and had a couple of cocktails. My hubs loved the cocktail with the Suntory! We got the fried chicken buns which were build your own, which I appreciate because sometimes when they come out already put together, the bun gets soggy. Hubs got the Toki Classic Ramen and I got the Red Miso Ramen. Both made us so happy! We will definitely be going back to try some of the other things I haven't already had at the DC location.

Visited Toki Underground last night for the first time! Glad we made reservations because it was pretty full, even at 6pm (we were seated immediately). Loved the atmosphere and all the staff were attentive and kind. Cocktails and food were AMAZING. Loved the Toki Monster cocktail. I thought the pork belly would be weird but it was amazing. The dumplings were delightful — the sauce was *chefs kiss*. I got the Toki Classic for my main and the pork just fell apart in the best way. It was sooo good. My only regret is being too full to order the miso butter cookies for dessert…. Next time because I’ll definitely be back! 🍜🥟

So, even though there was a bit of a snafu regarding timing (our reservation was for 8:30 but their system said 9:30? Hostess was very contrite and did her best to accommodate us) we had an excellent time. The staff was obviously very busy but super nice and kind, responsive, and the food was amazing. I got the vegan ramen, but everyone else got different kinds (gluten free, curry chicken, etc) and they were all delicious. Well priced, too, and the presentation was great. We will very happily go back. One word of caution though: we were a group of 6 and they added a 20% automatic gratuity, which is fine, but they didn’t explicitly tell us that. A couple of people tipped on top of that amount because we hadn’t checked. That’s on us, but just know that because they didn’t say it and I don’t think it was printed on the menu either. But like I said, we’ll be back for the food and really cute decor.

Maybe it was just the night, but eating at Toki Underground in Baltimore had a definite Blade Runner feel for us--as if Harrison Ford's character had been just one table over, supping--as I was--on the supremely excellent Taipei Curry Chicken Ramen, following one heckuva tasty cocktail I can't remember the name of, but had cedar-infused gin in it. The particularly blighted block of Greenmount Avenue the restaurant is situated in (a building at the other end of the block is actually partially staved in behind diamond-wire fencing) just added to the post-everything ambiance. Highly recommend! (Just don't bring your out-of-town parents.)

One of my favorite Ramen spots in the city! I tried the kimchi ramen, and it was so delicious and definitely a stand out dish! I also tried the chicken karaage, spring rolls, and smoked pork belly with baos - each dish was incredible. The atmosphere is really cool and a fun place to hang out. I would recommend taking an Uber there because it’s not the safest area and doesn’t have a ton of parking, but that’s the only negative for me.Overall, I highly recommend Toki Underground as it definitely is a staple in the Baltimore food scene!

Adam and the staff at Toki Underground are amazing. They had terrific suggestions on the menu and we were not disappointed. We had cloud shrimp, spicy cauliflower bao and the Thai curry Ramen. Dessert was also a treat. Save room!
