Well well well. The decor is delightful. It really is. The service. Hmm. Appalling. Atrocious. A joke. So bad it’s good. At least a 1 hour wait for a menu here takes place against a lovely backdrop. But one does realize why people stay here so long - it takes ages to get served. So I would recommend coming here, just make sure you have at least the whole of the next week free. After all why order food on Monday and leave on Thursday when your food is unlikely to arrive before Sunday.

Best place to get away from the city and chill with your family or friends. Great service, great price and such a great view. There was a boat ride and a buffet which was great. All in all, everything was amazing. Definitely deserves a 5 star.

Kuriftu gives guests a chance for peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the inner city. Though not a large resort, the rooms are spaced out nicely for privacy which I loved. Customer service is agreat and so is the food! Only suggest that they better the desserts, didn't seem very fresh.

I cannot say enough kind words about this resort. My wife and I held our wedding at this location and the event far exceeded our expectations! The hospitality, customer service, beauty, food, and attention to detail was immaculate. The suites were tastefully decorated, and most importantly, the resort incorporated the nature and greenery of the landscape artistically and seamlessly. I always appreciate this kind of architecture as opposed to some corporate "box" hotels that just cut down all the trees, pave over everything, and cram as many guests together as possible. It feels like a tropical paradise! Furthermore, the rooms are built with high quality materials, stone and wood, not a bunch of poly-based textiles. It's certainly a high class location with a modest price point! Shout out to Yebeltal (Yebe) for making our special day extra special. The Open Door Café has a beautiful view—definitely one of the highlights! It’s the kind of spot where you could just sit and relax for hours. The waiters were super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience feel warm and inviting. But here’s the thing… while everything else was great, it took forever to get the receipt and actually pay. I ended up just sitting there waiting, which really tested my patience and kind of ruined the vibe at the end. For a place that feels so well put together, that part was frustrating. Price-wise, it’s moderately fair—not too expensive, not cheap either. Overall, I’d say it’s worth checking out, especially for the view and the friendly staff, but I hope they improve the service speed when it comes to wrapping things up.

Beautiful place just one hour drive from Addis Ababa. Resort by the lake that provides water activities too. Four stars because the food at the restaurant was below average. 2 of us had gastric issues after lunch.

A nice tradition setting with very good range of tasty food and drink. Perfect for weekend lunches - I was only there on a weekend. Good for business, leisure and is kid friendly.

Great day, atmosphere and quality meal. We entered with a 300-birr package including a three-course meal, half an hour kayak and 25% discount on spa treatments. Totally worth it!

Great day trip from Addis. Menu at lodge is pretty good and the massage was legit and well done in a clean, relaxing atmosphere. Views on the trip are decent and picture worthy. Extremely serene and pretty lodge self. Can't go wrong. And of course Habesha beer :)
