Living
ruins...?
Visited

The
building
consists
of
two
buildings:
the
main
building,
which
houses
Don
Quijote
and
Yamada
Denki,
and
the
annex,
which
houses
restaurants,
karaoke
shops,
etc.
The
grand
opening
is
likely
in
early
2007.
At
the
time
of
its
grand
opening,
it
was
a
relatively
rare
mall
that
did
not
house
a
grocery
store.
Tenants
at
the
time
included
Yamada
Denki,
Silk
(100
yen
store),
GU,
7-Eleven,
Urban
Square
(bowling
game),
First
Kitchen,
etc...
Current
tenants
include
Yamada
Denki,
Don
Quijote,
Kanetaya,
Bikkuri
Donkey
(annex),
karaoke
store
(annex),
etc...
I'm
not
sure
if
it's
because
the
population
in
the
surrounding
area
is
small,
but
I
get
the
impression
that
the
number
of
tenants
is
decreasing
as
time
passes.
Don
Quijote
moved
in
in
June
2012,
making
it
possible
to
purchase
groceries
although
there
are
no
fresh
foods.
However,
all
the
tenants
on
the
first
floor
of
the
main
building
are
vacant
except
for
Don
Quijote...The
second
floor
is
also
occupied
by
Yamada
Denki
and
Room
Decor.
The
last
time
I
came,
JOYPLAZA
(formerly
urban
square)
was
open,
but
it
closed
in
2019
before
the
coronavirus
pandemic.
I
was
hoping
for
a
replacement,
but
it
seems
impossible...
Don
Quijote
was
crowded
even
though
it
was
a
weekday
daytime,
probably
because
it's
cheap,
so
I
hope
the
people
at
the
mall
do
their
best.

It
seems
that
Tachiu
(Game/Reuse)
opened
on
the
former
site
of
JOYPLAZA
at
the
end
of
March
of
this
year.
There
are
no
medal
games
or
arcade
games,
but
crane
games
have
made
a
comeback.
Meanwhile,
Room
Deco
Kanetaya
on
the
second
floor
closed
at
the
end
of
February.
When
I
checked
further,
the
official
website
for
Quiz
Mall
Ryugasaki
was
gone.
The
reason
is
unknown.
