I travel for work and visit many gyms and this is one of the best I've ever visited. I highly recommend a visit. Rather than day passes I paid £20 for a week which is an excellent deal. A top tier gym with a fantastic range of Hammerstrength equipment (plate loaded and resistance). This gym is huge and caters for all areas of lifting, body building and fitness. They also have a small range of supplements. The gym is 12 years old and well used but the equipment is clearly very well maintained! It was busy but I didn't have to wait long for machines... there are also just multiple options if you're happy to switch up your program/workout.

A major flaw of this gym is fascinatingly the choice of music, music is an important aspect for most if not all clients who train at a gym. Even so as a minimum it is expected that an appropriate genre of music is played during business hours. Unfortunately this is not the case at Vision, playlists are not consistent and vary depending on reception staff whilst the most inappropriate genre appears to be rock… The last you would expect as a bodybuilder when you’re squatting 200kg + is for ‘Teenage Dirtbag’ by Wheatus to start playing; it gives you American Diner vibes if anything and It feels as though the music is not being played for the clients but to suit the staff’s music taste instead. In conclusion I kindly request that you establish an appropriate gym playlist which is more suitable for workout, and when you have finally done so please turn the volume up - too quiet. Apart from that, overall this is a cracking gym very well equipped and well facilitated with sanitisation stations all across the floor.

When youve been to ultraflex, sadly everything else is simply downhill. Music was non existent and heard louder sony Walkmans from the 80’s. Tinny and poor quality. No real atmosphere despite it being 5pm. Gym changing rooms are dated and miles away.

Best gym I've been to in a long time, cheapest around too, old school feel with every piece of equipment going! Classes, cardio, weights, boxing, mma, the list goes on, fantastic!

Probably the best gym in Newcastle! Fairly priced and they have every equipment you need. Only one thing that I'm not really fan of is the music, which is often so incredibly loud that I can hear it through my own headphones even when my own music is set to max volume. Front desk turns it down a notch every time requested though but generally the music could be less loud by default :)

Best gym I've been to in years! Staff are friendly and helpful and make the effort to get to know their customers by name. The classes are mint, really good mix of different sessions from pilates to boxing to spin. The gym itself is clean and tidy. Theres great gym etiquette where everyone puts back the weights etc, wipes machinery down and looks out for one another. As a woman it's not intimidating, theres lots of other women working out and using the weights and machinery too, it feels very inclusive and welcoming. I cannot fault this place 10/10!

Very good gym with many machines and cables areas. Way better than PureGym and trugym. Only small gripe is the cancellation of a membership has to be 2 weeks in advance, like bro is this a job? But overall very good facilities

Good gym, huge selection of hammer strength plate loaded and stack machines. A massive amount of free weight plates and dumbbells, which go up to 60k. Good Changing room and toilet facilities. Only negative is that it can get extremely busy at peak times, even with the vast array of machinery and space. However this is to be expected as this is a testament to the popularity of the gym due to the above and the exceptional value for money. Definitely one of the best gyms in the North East, having been a former bodybuilder I have trained in quite a few so have decent judgment on such things.

This is easily the best gym I`ve ever visited. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful and the range of equipment is amazing. Brand new Eleiko kit and more machines than you could ever ask for. You wont find a more reasonably priced gym in the North East, however bring headphones as the playlist selection tends to be awful.

Pure gym, gym group, trugym and the like are a waste of time compared to this gym... Could this be the best gym ever? Probably... If you're a professional bodybuilder then this gym is for you. I'm being picky but not for the wrong reasons, just that I've not seen any in the gym but 3 things I would like to see: 1. Plate loaded standing calf machine 2. Free standing shrug frame 3. Viking press machine/iso lateral standing shoulder press machine. Been here for about a month now and made massive improvements... Want to train for the Mr Olympia competition? Then come here... That's the quality of this gym...

Taken payment out my account once I settled it at the gym and now after speaking to them they said it will get refunded within 10-14 working days and now they saying it’s not getting refunded as it’s a miss communication. It’s a joke

I joined this Gym as it was closer than my previous one. I wasn't disappointed, plenty of equipment to use, friendly helpful staff.

Very good equipment, decent size, monthly payments are reasonable I just wish single session was a bit better priced.

Best equipped gym I’ve been to in Newcastle and even at prime time there was plenty of space and machines/benches available. All equipment is great quality and gym has a great atmosphere.

Easily the best lifting gym I've ever been in. I can't believe how much equipment there is.

Returned to VHF for the range of equipment and convenient membership options. Great powerlifting area and new strongman area. There are plenty of wipes for machines and the toilets are clean, the rest of the gym is a bit grotty. Chalk handprints on the walls, chalk all over the lifting platform and squat rack, the bag shelves smelled like sweaty shoes and half of the sanitiser dispensers were empty. Perhaps I have high standards but even pre covid I would find the poor cleanliness off-putting.

Good range of hammer strength equipment. Large floor space. Little bit on the dark side with lights. Reception fine. Plenty of drinks on offer.

🫤 Very poor sanitary standards. I've been a member of Pure gym in Gateshead for many years and cleaning standards have been declining for a while but recently it just became shocking. The floor in the shower area is so dirty that it's becoming pink, the shower cubicles haven't been cleaned in ages and...
