I honestly can’t compliment this shop enough. As an amateur coffee drinker looking to expand, I bought a grinder and tipped up with all the gear and no idea. The team in store have helped me over the last couple of months to explore a variety of beans, with expert and understanding advice. The service is as good as any I’ve had ever and I always try and stop for a coffee on site while I’m there to see how it should be done! Really love the service and am hooked. Loyal customer who, like with any premium product, enjoys the experience as much as the product. Thank you to everyone front of house (and back, altho I haven’t met you yet…)

Excellent! Lovely coffee with a daily special roast. Sit in or take out. Knowledgeable sales staff and a choice of plant milk and dairy. I had a beautiful cappuccino and biscotti. Great nutty, cocoa flavour. So glad Pumphreys is on the corner. I'll be back!

One of best coffee in town, Italian roasted and Morocco roasted something next level. If you feel lazy and down pumphreys give sparks and make your day workable and feel fresh.

The best coffee you will ever buy. Lovely people and a quality of coffee you won't get anywhere else. Try the Italian High Roast and Double Roast Santos. Creamy, strong, and smooth with no bitter aftertaste. I wouldn't buy coffee anywhere else. I even had it delivered when I lived in America. It's worth it.

Tried a "new to me" coffee from Papua New Guinea. It had a very interesting treacly flavour. This is a great place to try different teas and coffees.

Occasionally pop in to get a takeaway hot coffee around lunchtime when I'm working from home and it's the best tasting coffee there is.

Pumphreys Coffee Roasters are my favourite coffee suppliers anywhere. I no longer live locally but always visit when I'm back and also buy by post. Their Blaydon factory warehouse shop does excellent takeaway coffees. Best selection of fresh roasted coffee anywhere. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Can't think of any way it could improve.

This was my first experience of Pumphreys coffee and I have to say I'm extremely impressed. The staff were knowledgeable and attentive, even with such a large selection to choose from. I had I my mind the coffee I wanted whilst reading the guide in the queue, the lady asked me a few questions and incredibly recommend that exact same coffee!.... Sampling it now on this glorious sunny Saturday morning and it's perfect! I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could!
