Been meaning to try this place for ages because I've heard good things and it always looks nice when I've passed. We were not disappointed. It was quiet but very welcoming, clean but cosy, a really pleasant vibe and the food was good quality fresh upmarket tasty cafe fayre. Coffee was quality as well and all in all its great value. We will definitely be returning soon.

Thyme Square is my all time favourite place to meet up for breakfast with my friend. The quality of the food is outstanding and its fantastic value for money. Well worth the short walk from Gosforth High Street. Not only is the food amazing but the customer service is great unlike other venues. I'm treated like royalty and will continue to support Thyme Square.

Generous servings for breakfast, great and friendly service. A cozy place to enjoy a nice brunch on a Sat/Sun morning. The coffee is some of the best we've had in the UK.

Tried to go for breakfast this morning after seeing all the good reviews.... turned up 9.30am .... was closed & according to Google it was open from 9.00am.... very disappointing as we had travelled in from the coast ....

Under new management. *Great* value. We had a veggie Full English and a jacket potato; both well cooked, generous and as affordably priced as you’ll find anywhere. The lady now running it is clearly making a huge effort relaunching it after it being closed a while. The cafe has the same decor as before so she’s not had chance to put her mark on it yet. However she’s super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Really hope this succeeds. Thoroughly recommend giving it a go.

Beautiful and nice place with a brilliant breakfast selection and the food quality to go with it. Price was on point. Service was quick and the atmosphere friendly. Only slight issue which is not the fault of the cafe is the parking is awful.

Fantastic service and food. Under new management. I went with my kids and we all had amazing English breakfasts. My youngest daughter had a lovely egg sarny on a huge stottie too!

What a lovely little cafe. The food was delicious and staff so friendly. I went on my own and felt very welcome. The owner Paul was a delight to meet and what a great chef he was too. Nothing was a problem every thing cooked to order and just how you would like it. Fresh crispy salad with chicken I had, with a mug of coffee all at a very reasonable price. I'm so pleased I passed by to find this gem of a cafe. Cakes look delicious too. I will be taking my friends in next week, it was so lovely.

I have visited on a number of occasions and never been disappointed yet. I often eat the breakfasts and these are not only voluminous but also of the very highest quality. If asked where are best places to eat lunch or breakfast in the North East I would certainly say that Thyme Square must be one of the best.

Lovely lunch with some tasty and unusual specials. Eldest daughter had duck egg omelette with ratatouille. Generous portion and very tasty. Youngest had a cheese and ham toastie which was gobbled up too. Cakes delicious as well. Will be back...

Sprog5 and his beloved brought me here in the summer. I'm up for their engagement party, starting just around the corner. Been looking forward to this breakfast for weeks. Not disappointed!

Friendly, great value for money food. Only a few negatives; too many labels on the walls and there was an elderly gentleman sat watching videos on his phone with the sound on. Would definitely go back though and recommend.

More than a cafe, there is a unique ambience at Thyme Square driven by a desire to serve good food at value prices in quality surroundings by people who care. The small but varied menu is enough to make you plan your next visit before the main course is served. Thanks guys.

Lovely little place just around the corner from where we live since myself and my fiancé went in the first time we always think of their breakfasts

Nice staff and atmosphere but I had a pink sausage the white of my egg was very watery (I had to slide it off the egg) and I had a massive piece of egg shell stuck to the egg. Wouldn't go back.

Went in for breakfast, had the "flying start" fry up. Cooked perfectly, good size portion and decent ingredients. Lady who served us was very friendly too. Probably the best cooked breakfast I've ever had in a cafe
