Working away from home and the five of us decide on here. One of us had been before and rated it! The other four of us who hadn't been here were not disappointed. Absolutely fantastic food and service. I love Turkish food and this was quality. Very friendly staff and accomodated our requests. Will definitely come back again.

I would give a 5 star but the service unfortunately was slow so by the time order was taken and food delivered I was really crazy hungry but other than that really lovely decor, the staff was really polite. And helpful and the food was amazing… I forgive them for keeping me waiting cos the food was worth it in the end… Every thing I ordered from the humus to the kebab hit the right places in my brain 😁

They serve the best Turkish food in town. The food was extremely delicious and well presented. It’s a bit pricey and some of the staff were unwelcoming and in a bad mood, other than that everything was phenomenal. Highly recommended, I’ll return indeed!

I was taken to this restaurant for my birthday as a treat and I was pleasantly surprised. This is the best Turkish Grill house I have ever been to. As a group of six we had a fairly varied selection of food and it was all delicious, hot and flavourful. The service was great, servers were readily available, friendly and checked on how we were doing. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. If I was to fault anything, it's the number of prawns you get in the King Prawn starter but most restaurants are a bit stingy with their King Prawns. Anyway highly recommend this place

Came here for the first time. Pros - The restaurant decor is lovely, classy and modern. Also on a street with lots of decent pubs. Menu is typical Turkish grill food cooked well. Food came out piping hot and very delicious. Good size potions too. Bit of a delay on the drinks though. The food is a little pricey as are the drinks but if you want a spicy treat, give it a try. Cons - was not so impressed with the 10% service charge, ours was £30 so didn’t leave an extra tip. There is no parking. It’s a residential area with permit parking only. However this not so on Sunday evenings so maybe a good time to visit. My one main criticism were the ladies toilets were not clean and smelled disgusting like rotten eggs. There are only two loos in there and the left hand loo had dried sick on the wall tiles. Didn’t look like they had been given a good clean in quite a while.

Hi, we love Turkish food. We were visiting Newcastle for my husbands 50th. They went the extra mile and put a banner on the table, sang Happy Birthday etc. The food….was delicious. Staff were really lovely, service was quick. We r planning on returning on our next trip. Excellent for place to eat!

A Turkish restaurant on a busy road in Jesmond. It is halal which is good and the decor inside is very nice. They have good covid measures in place with all waiters wearing protectors. The service was a little slow and I asked for my food to be packed and unfortunately it accidentally went in the bin. The waiter was apologetic and offered to make me a new dish. The food itself is nice well presented and the ambience is welcoming and friendly. It was very similar to other Turkish restaurant with popular dishes on the menu.

Best Turkish Mixed Grill I have had since my visit to Istanbul. Beautiful decor welcomes you to this refined eatery, I stumbled upon it by mistake but I am sure glad I did. As mentioned the Mixed Grill was excellent, the quality of the meats were brilliant, the seasoning sublime & the skill in cooking second to none.

Excellent food paired with great service. If you love your food cooked over true charcoal then this is the place you need to visit. Meat dishes were juicy and full of flavour. Good size portions and well presented. Will definitely return next time I'm in the area.

Monkfish kebab was absolutely gorgeous. I would highly recommend this new restaurant. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, and this is really picky, was the feta fill tarts were too cheesy. I know picky.

Really amazing food, very fancy the decor of the restaurant immediately makes you want to stay. The staff are very friendly and nice. Service was great as well. The food was halal which is a bonus. Definitely would visit again. If you go, make sure to order a coffee!

Delicious food. Classic kebabs and more varied stews and casseroles all very tasty and reasonable value on Sunday lunchtime #15 for 2 courses menu. Baklava & Turkish coffee for dessert was a real treat!

Had a gorgeous meal here this evening. The food is delicious and the restaurant itself is very nice, lovely decor and comfortable. The restaurant staff were friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend the veggie sharer plate as a starter and the lamb special wrap for a main. Thank you for a lovely evening, we will definitely be back

Beautiful restaurant with delicious food, i had falafel with hummus as main course, which was really good and a pint of the turkish lager efes, wife had halloumi as a main course, she loved it too, very friendly service as well, we will be back as there is plenty of vegetarian options! :)

Myself and my wife went here for a quiet meal out ,we like to go out at tea time as we don't care for being rushed , We arrived for our booking and we were met by the waiter ,very happy and cheerful and he showed us to our table ,a beautiful window table at the front of the restaurant, The table was immaculate ,proper cloth napkins and immaculately clean cutlery, We ordered our drinks and starters from the vast amount on the menu , A wide selection of hot and cold starters , Our food and drinks arrived in good time from ordering, The food looked great ,well presented on the plates and a cheeky order of Turkish bread on the side ,nice touch . My wife and I both tucked into our starters ,both absolutely beautiful, On finishing the waiter gave us plenty of time before he came to clear our table , He returned about 5mins later with our main courses ,the smell was amazing coming from my wife's dish ,again both dishes were presented so well ,they looked amazing, The food was delicious,and so well cooked ,I just kept telling my wife this is delicious, The waiter came over and asked if everything was fine ,our reply was of course it is delicious, He left with a big smile upon his face heading towards the kitchen no doubt to pass on the comments to the kitchen staff , We were left alone to finish our meals with no more Interruptions, We both did our best to clear our plates but the portion size just beat me ,and I love my food , Our waiter noticed we had finished asked again if everything was fine and took another drinks order , He let us rest for a good ten minutes before asking if we would like the sweet menu , Of course for me but my wife was beaten by the main , The dessert arrived ,again it looked and tasted amazing but my eyes were bigger than my tummy and unfortunately I was beat , So all in all ,the restaurant was immaculately clean ,the staff were amazingly friendly,the food was fantastic,so a review out of five stars would be 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟plus all-round Would me and the wife return,yes of course we will, Would we recommend this restaurant to friends and family,most definitely, Just one last thing ,keep up the amazing work ,both front of house and kitchen team ,yous are all amazing,thankyou for a wonderful experience,cheers to you all ,Ken hedley

Came here last night and ordered mixed sharing platter and a couple of extras. Was genuinely amazed by how good it was. 10/10 food and service, every piece of meat cooked perfectly. Only potential improvement recommendable is maybe some napkins on the table, it was a bit messy to eat ha ha but worth it!

Second time here just as nice as the first , went for my daughter's 10th birthday met by a nice friendly fella showed us to our seats . Took out order and didn't wait to long for our food which we all enjoyed. 1 of my sins got the lamb shanks and said it was a bit to fatty but ate what he could. They brought my daughter a mocktail which was very nice of them. All staff were nice no complaints at all good team work .

Excellent mezze starter - dips were incredible. Such a harmony of flavours, meats grilled to perfection. Service was exceptional - happy to offer recommendations and very attentive service. Just great. Good luck to you wish I lived local would love to return someday

A 6and a half hour drive down from Aberdeenshire. We'll worth it. Great food. Friendly helpful service. A definite return visit needed to explore more of the exquisite menu. Superb decor. All you could ask for. Sorry no pics of the starter. It disappeared too quickly.

If you like delicious Turkish food, beautifully presented this restaurant is a must to visit. From walking through the door it has a warm welcoming feel. The staff are friendly and attentive adding to the relaxed atmosphere. The decor is immaculate and comfortable a mix of traditional Turkish and modern styling. There is a well stocked bar the prices are good and they serve Efes, local Turkish beer, a fond reminder of our visits to Turkey. The food is served hot and the attention to detail is exceptional. Can recommend the soup, garlic mushrooms, the meatballs, my chicken dish was cooked beautifully. The portions are good and the prices are not expensive for such quality food. They have meals suitable for vegetarians, vegans so all tastes are catered for. We had a wonderful evening will definitely visit again.

My new favourite restaurant in the North. The food was excellent, very tasty and cooked perfectly. I would advise not having a starter if you are having the mixed grill. The service was as good as you can get. Very attentive and friendly staff. Best restaurant experience in a long time.

1st night out after lockdown . Well worth a visit. Food excellent, staff friendly. Spotlessly clean. Hand sanitizers and social distances in place. Will be back soon.

Went for the mixed grill and every part of it was tasty and well cooked. Wine was also nice and service good. Highly recommended if you are in the area. Would go back, can get busy so might be worth booking depending on what time of day is. Reasonably priced too.

We had an excellent meal here whilst on a short break in Newcastle. The restaurant is very nicely done out and very spacious. Staff were very efficient and friendly. We shared an aubergine and potato starter with Turkish bread that was excellent. For main course my husband has lamb Iskender which he said was fantastic. I had a lamp and vegetable stew which came in a clay pot which was also very good.

Amazing food, abysmal service. Hats off to the chef, the food here was delicious, hot, fresh and presentable. Came for a Turkish friends birthday who was very pleased with the meal. The downfall was the extremely poor service ourselves and the tables around us received. Wait times were very long and flagging down staff members was difficult. The table next to us was given the bottle of unopened wine and spent about 30mins trying to flag down a waiter to open it and take their food order. There was also an odd hierarchy between the staff, with the young staff members being micro-managed to the point where it was noticeable and uncomfortable to watch.

Beautiful restaurant. Food was superb, tasty and well presented. Lovely decor inside. Would have been 5 stars but had to wait 20 minutes before our order was taken. Then 50 minutes for our food to arrive. Would certainly go back though.

Couldn't of wished for a better birthday experience for my partner. From ringing up to book, to walking out of the door, we couldn't of been made to feel more welcome. We had a large party, with a diversity of dishes and every single person commented how great the food was, and how we would all certainly be making the return journey. Asides from the perfect food the staff were so attentive and made everyone feel so at ease, and even went above and beyond by decorating the place and throwing in a few birthday surprises! Could not recommend Saray highly enough, thanks for a brilliant night!

Lovely restaurant in Jesmond. Lots of options for food. I really enjoyed the chicken iskender full of flavour even though the chicken was slightly undercooked overall a great experience. We had baklava with ice cream for dessert and tea which the go really well together. Amasing service great food and atmosphere I will definitely try it again and absolutely recommended. Thank you to all members of staff who made that night special.

Food was amazing. The best Turkish food in the area. Staff were friendly and helpful but not pushy which was appreciated. I was expecting it to be loud as we visited on a Friday evening but it had a nice atmosphere where you could talk at a normal volume. It is nicely decorated inside and it was an absolute pleasure to be there. I can't wait to visit again!
