    I can't get an appointment, even with the nurse. Phone just rings. My GP App is rejecting everything and no available appointments. Reception staff rude and overtly aggressive when I'm trying to explain a problem, I can't order repeat prescription as this is either rejected without reason or sent to the Benwell surgery! What is wrong with the staff here? Incompetence of the highest order. Seriously thinking of switching to a different surgery.

    Got to be the worst practice in the area now and it used to be amazing ive been under this practice literally from the day I was born! Back when it was in its own building! As soon as it moved to the current building it went to pot, rude receptionists, terrible systems to order meds or even get appointments they seem to even struggle sending prescriptions through to the chemist which is all but a few feet away. I'm aware of budget cuts but this is no excuse for the attitude the staff have sometimes when trying to get an appointment or even order meds or find information. I'm just glad I'm moving far away from this practice and now have a doctors practice that are competent!

    Had appointment booked 1.30pm got seen 1.50pm only to be told locum doctor cant prescribe what i need it has to be regular doctor or specialist. Not the first time this sort of thing happened. Last time locum cancelled all my meds which i must have! The care here is a disgrace. Its also takes 3 to 4 weeks to get an appointment what good is that?

    I have a lump at the bottom of my chest causing pain and vomiting. Rang for an appointment today to have a very arrogant sounding lady on the phone who said no appointments call tomorrow or go to hospital. This place should be shut down. The staff are useless and have never once heard if customer service. Utter disgrace

    Absalutly dreadful the receptionist are cheeky and untrained no help what so ever . Can't get an appointment unless you want to wait 2weeks

    Why are the non medical staff here so rude and unprofessional? Nurses and GPs are great but the receptionists must get trained at a Fawlty Towers finishing school. So awful I hate ringing up and always hope I will be surprised but they are just the same. Nothing changes.

    After going for a check up, It was alerted by the Doctor that my Blood Pressure was high and so i had bloods and a ecg done within 2 weeks.. Since then i have been to the hospital and 3 appointments and all the staff in both surgeries have been amazing .. A massive thank you for looking after me ;) Well blooy done.

    I find all the reception staff very friendly and pleasant, every single GP, nurse or midwife I have seen in my 27 years of being at this practice have all been so helpful and lovely so I have zero complaints, my meds when I needed them were always sent to the pharmacy the next day sometimes even the same day so very efficient..

    Appointment service needs a complete overhaul I waited 2 hours for a call back only to be advised by the receptionist that an answer machine is not in use after I had been advised as being number 1 in the queue and a call back to me would be made. Waited 2 hours no call back, I then recalled the surgery only to be told to call 111 or attend a Walk in Centre. No respect as to my condition or empathy shown by staff operating the phone lines. Please review the procedures and provide a professional service to your patients.

    Absolutely horrendous. This is the worst doctors. Your unable to get an appointment to see a doctor. You have to discuss your symptoms with the receptionist who are very rude and unprofessional they hung the phone up on my partner when she was in tears trying to get help. Constantly getting told to go to the walk in center. To get an appointment you have to wait 2 weeks yet they are still taking on new patients which they cannot provide a service for. Probably better off waiting until you on deaths door and calling an ambulance.

    I personally think this practise is amazing. I’ve had a few medical problems myself this past year and I’ve been given the best advice and prompt referrals to ease my worry. What I would like to share however is the fantastic support I’ve been given regarding my severely disabled son. Victoria burns has been soo supportive and she’s really listened to all of my sons complications and worries about getting bloods from him. She was soo patient and her caring nature was soo obvious in dealing with my son at the practise. I can’t believe she managed to get bloods from him but she did. And I would like to thank her soo much for being soo caring. I honestly feel like I’ve got the support I need because of her. Thank you holmside and especially Victoria .

    Went for a coil fitting and I had a funny turn, they made sure I was ok before I drove home. Really looked after me and even called the next morning to check if I'm ok. If thats not caring I don't know what is. Big thanks to Rachel and Katy/ team.

    Recently diagnosed with cll/sll only found after surgery doctors overlooked my bloods for 5 year. Can not get appointment even though am priority spoke to practice manager who said I will always get appointment rang today no appointments never call me with any results from tests always have to follow up myself. Receptionists are obnoxious and no help at all. Leaving practice now as this is a joke !!!!!

    I would recommend to avoid this practice, in February my husband went in and filled in the paperwork to be registered with them, one week later he received a phone call confirming we were all registered, when I tried contacting them for an emergency they said we are not registered with them. Now myself, my husband and my mom getting phone calls from their number and when I return the call they said they never rang or it was by mistake even though they called a couple of times, and didn’t leave any voicemails, customer service it’s shocking and very unprofessional.

    In recent months I've found a large improvement in the service I've received. The staff have been very helpful and did their best to support me.

🫤 Scottish speaking receptionist is very rude. Wouldn't give appointment same day for child. Told to go to walk in centre who then told me I should have visited my gp. Called 116 times to try and get through to someone. Definitely need a better telephone system.
