This was a great experience in Polish history. The buildings moved to this location for exhibit are from a range of historical periods and include homes, a church and a fire station. The grounds are expansive and there are good walks between the buildings, so wear walking shoes for comfort. An English-speaking interpreter and guide can be hired, which we did and it was reasonably priced. This was a good choice. There is a small gift shop and snack bar on premises.

ANIMAL CRUELTY: giant rabitts alive locked up in really tiny cages, 26 degrees, under the sun all the time. I tried to ask to someone what the hell was going on there and no one to answer. It was truly sad and we couldn’t understand it (specially if there was a huge and beautiful area for them to live and to be free… Of course the cage was completely locked… Because the place is really nice and perfectly kept it is really strange that we found this here. There are other animals that were kept outside. Can you please explain in detail what is happening with this giant rabbits there? Thank you

They hold various events here and that's the best time to visit, when they have something on. There were several stalls and crafts people explaining and demonstrating how things were made in the past and indeed still today. Basket weaving, rope making, processing linseed for fibres, wood carving, the list goes on. The museum was the perfect setting. We have visited several times when events are held and we have never been disappointed.

Old cottages, beautiful gardens. Lovely and peaceful place to visit and meet some polish culture and history

Very well presented and maintained museum but lacked life and people when we visited it at the beginning of September. Also, payments by cash only that made us spend less than we wished to. Generally interested for the young generation.
