My
dad
and
I
are
visiting
Portugal
for
a
week,
and
while
we
were
in
Porto
we
decided
to
do
a
day
trip
to
the
Douro
valley
to
some
wineries
and
we
had
an
fantastic
time.
We
learned
of
Nomad
Steps
through
our
Airbnb
host
and
signed
up
for
a
private
tour
with
Timur.
He
picked
us
up
at
our
place
in
town
and
drove
us
out
to
the
valley,
and
along
the
way,
he
gave
us
lots
of
history
of
the
region
and
an
explanation
of
how
the
day
would
unfold.
We
began
by
taking
a
beautiful
boat
ride
up
the
river
where
we
got
to
see
the
beauty
of
the
valley
from
below.
Once
we
were
done
he
drove
us
up
to
a
small
boutique
winery
where
we
had
a
tour
and
tasting
of
their
wine
and
olive
oil.
The
folks
there
were
so
outgoing
and
helpful
and
their
products
were
very
tasty.
We
took
at
break
for
lunch
at
a
wonderful
winery
right
on
the
river
and
then
headed
to
a
larger
winery
for
a
tour
and
port
tasting.
The
location
overlooked
the
valley
and
had
amazing
views,
and
their
tasting
room
was
beautiful.
Trying
to
find
your
way
around
this
area
would
have
been
very
difficult
on
our
own,
not
to
mention
trying
to
organize
all
the
details
of
the
day.
Timur
was
outgoing,
knowledgable
and
went
out
of
his
way
to
make
sure
that
we
had
an
amazing
time.
I
would
definitely
recommend
him
to
others
who
are
interested
in
doing
something
similar.
