Best 🐙 octopus and meal I have had in Portugal 🇵🇹. Huge portions and great prices.

The portions are HUGE. A 2 persons dish would easily make 4 eat enough and be full. We were 4 and ordered a plate for 3 and we took with us leftovers and had dinner the following day. Extremely tasty. Highly recommend the mystery meal.

I had a portion of ribs to go from this place. The ribs and the sides were huge. We had it for dinner and lunch the day after. However, the ribs were too dry and some of them a bit burnt. The service wasn’t that great either. I’m sure it was because of my accent or because it was really late. Second time here a few months later. The food was good and really good size portions. However, service was pretty much the same. That is, really poor!

Suggested by a local grandma I met at the train station, this place is "boa comida e não caro", good food and low price. Looks like a very old take away restaurant, with tables on the first floor.. lots of locals here, that's a good sign. Fish and meat on the menu, with plenty of options. I chose a medium churrasco plate, that is enough for 2 actually as it comes with a full plate of different type of pork, chicken, beef, with vegetables, fries and rice. A bottle of water and a beer, for a total price of 20€. 🍽️👍🍗🍖🍚

I found this place and it was amazing. Very good meat and the portions are really big. I would recommend 1/2 portion for 2 persons. I would love to comeback here!

The food is good. It’s fun. It’s cozy. It’s authentic. I’d go back and I will. The meat is tasty and plentiful, fries go well with meat and veggies give the meat a good mix. The shrimp and juices are delicious, my favorite plate for sure. House bottle of wine was not my personal taste bud favorite but not bad.

Great food for reasonable prices. Be warned that the servings are quite big. Great place for dinner.

Over my trip in Porto i've been to this place 3 times, i don't think I've ever tried such an authentic food and flavours like these. I tried many dishes made of different kind of meat and I can say that every plate is perfect from the quality of the meat to the preparation to the choice of the sides. The staff is very friendly and hard working and the price is incredible for the quantity and quality of the products they serve. I don't think I'll easily find something better than this place, definitely one of the things I'll miss most from Portugal!

Acho que é o melhor restaurante no Porto! É o restaurante típico português. The price is reasonable as the portion is for 2-3people, I had to do take away lol The dish, the soup and the wine are delicious and all served quickly. They are really nice as well, especially I left my bag yesterday night and I could get it back the next day😭 Muito obrigada por ajuda-me, muito simpático💛 I would definitely come back again and enjoy more Portuguese food😋

Amazing food with great staff, typical Portuguese place in my opinion. The only downside was the amount of fumes coming from the kitchen, which made it really difficult to breathe and almost brought tears to our eyes at a point. Eventually it cleared out towards the end of the dinner, and it was probably a special unlucky day for us, but still. I have to go a second time to see how it is, and I'll update this review accordingly.

This was by far the best food we have had in Porto so far. The food and service were both amazing and would highly recommend! We showed up 40 minutes before they closed and they invited us in with smiles and great hospitality! We ended up staying a bit past closing and they still were super nice and hospitable towards us! They also spoke very good English. Just a heads up, the main dishes are family style and the 1/2 dishes will fill at least 2 people! All in all it was amazing!

Our go-to bbq joint in Porto. Everything is grilled to perfection every time without fail. The staff is efficient and kind, and the prices cannot be beat. Portions are huge! Our favorites are the ribs and the seafood mix.

Fantastic traditional Portuguese restaurant. Delicious cooked meats. huge portions. i had mixed meat which came with cabbage, chips and rice. another had black pork and the other had veal. lovely red wine to accompany. totally stuffed with great tasty food and so happy. this is the Portuguese food i love.

Massive portions, average/good taste but good value for money. Be prepared to have smelly clothes after, it's very smokey with no ventilation

This meal was a host recommendation from my airbnb. It was delicious! The portions were great and it smelled so good I over ordered and was able to have it the next day. Get the grilled octopus all day long!

First lunch in Portugal. Absolutely delicious, great service, large portion...so fresh!!! Go upstairs and sit down for your meal.

Perhaps this place has had a change of owners but I had truly dreadful food here. Clams that were nothing like Bulhao Pato should be. Simply an overcooked, oversalted mess. The picanha may as well have been shoe leather served with greasy fries.

I ordered more than 10 times from this restaurant. They have a good menu and portions are big enough. Taste is average. During the peak hours the taste of the food mixed to each other (fish and steak, pok and chicken) , the grill has to be reorganized.

This is a no frills local restaurant and one of the restaurants in terms of best value for money (taste, portion size wise) that I have been too. I had salmon and mixed grill (not together, on separate days). Both times it was very good. The place is never empty and I saw both locals and tourists. Service delivery is very good and very fast. If you are looking for a fancy fine dining experience, this isn't the place you should be visiting. But for a good authentic local dining experience especially for good meat and fish, I highly recommend it.

Very good restaurant. Really good quality/price ratio and near the city center. The best roast beef I've ever eaten. Totally recommend it if you're looking for traditional Portuguese food.

Grilled chicken is amazing , rice is not always well served , Rosbief with English sauce is their best ever , their sauce is amazing , and their prices are very affordable

Delicious food, great prices and food service! The portions are very big, good for sharing.

Went for family lunch. We had the cod fish with cornbread, salmon with cornbread and goatling. The cod was good, the salmon ok but the goatling was not very well seasoned. It tasted to much meaty. The cookie cake was good and also the toucinho do céu.

If you looking for value, this place is great. The chicken will be about as good as you get elsewhere, but cheaper. You can get better meat elsewhere, but it may cost you more. Have not tried their seafood yet. Great for convenience and fast service. Update: lowering to 3 stars as their "vegetarian" beans were obviously not. Normally I would let that slide, but given this happened more than once and how much we discussed this before the sale(s), it was clear they knew and thought they can get away with it.
