👍👍 We did the walking/port tour with David our first day in town and so happy that we did! David was impressively knowledgeable about the history of Porto and also about Port wine and he gave us great recommendations. Well worth the time and money to learn about the city from a local. People often mention tour, Porto, Port, great, class, recommend, David, wine, experience, history,

If we could give C&D Porto tours 6 stars we would! Having never been to the beautiful city of Porto before, my husband and I decided that we would like to be part of a small guided tour (the larger group tours are just not for us!) I think the maximum group size is about 6 people, but on this particular occasion it was just two of us. What can I say? David is passionate about his city and knows so much about the history and the culture and he was able to bring it all to life for us! We picked so much up from David that we were able to make choices about other things that we wanted to do on our short trip to Porto. He is such a kind and informative guide, giving lots of tips about the city and allowing us to ask lots of questions too. Next time we go to Porto I will definitely be booking one of the other C&D tours. Thank you David - we know so much about Porto now and that helped us to have a really enjoyable trip. Tina and Edward.

The Pastel de Nata cooking class was really fun and informative. They gave us detailed instructions so we feel comfortable making them at home. We participated in every step of the process, including making the pastry and custard. We really enjoyed eating them too! We would definitely do another cooking class with them in the future and would go back to the nata class with friends.

We did the Port Wine Experience tour found on airbnb experiences and it was excellent! We had José as a guide and he was wonderful. He had a great deal of knowledge on Port and it's history and made the tour fun and entertaining. I couldn't recommend this tour enough! We had three different stops and tasted everything from white Port, the newest type rosé Port, tawny Port, ruby Port and late bottle vintage ruby Port (my personal favorite!). The first stop included seeing Port aging in barrels which was very interesting as well as a tasting room, followed by two tasting room stops and the last one included some snacks during the tasting. It was a great introduction to Port or just a fun tour to do even if you've already done several tastings (like us!).

We took their port wine tour and it was a great afternoon! The tour guid was very engaging and knowledgeable, he encouraged us to offer our opinions and thoughts without telling us what things should taste like. If you like port or have no experience I highly recommend this tour.

Great tour! The meetup place was easy to find on a popular street. Nuno, our tour guide, was there ahead of time and greeted us cheerfully. His English was extremely good. He was very entertaining and knowledgeable of the port process and industry. I have been to several wine and port tours, I still learned from this experience. If you are a light-weight, come with something in your stomach, snacks are provided but mainly for pairing. :)

Our family did the ‘pastel de nata workshop’ with Jose and it was excellent. We had a total of seven people in the class and everyone was included. Everything is super well thought through - right down to alcohol free wine for non drinkers. Learnt a ton about pastry making and Portuguese history. A very enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. Highly recommend this activity.

I had a great tour with David, he is very knowledgeable of Porto about its history as weaving in some elements of current day challenges in Porto / Portugal in general. I did the Walking Porto Tour (I think it was called) a half mix of walking and wine tour. Would definitely recommend!

The experience with Catia was fantastic. Starting in the Mercado do Bolhao, we got to meet some of the vendors and try some of their products and make purchases for our class. We then took the metro across the river to the studio where we were able to enjoy a great class on some staples of Portugese cuisine. Each person in the class got to participate in some aspect of preparing the meal and at the end we all enjoyed a hearty and delicious meal. I would definitely recommend an experience with CD Porto Tours!

Had such a great time cooking with Catia! She took us around the markets as she shopped for some of the ingredients for the experience. We had great conversations over wine and can't believe we were able to make Pastel de natas! The fish dish was incredible and can't wait to make it at home. She gave us many interesting facts about Porto and its history. Truly grateful for the time Catia invested to host a wonderful event.

We had a wonderful day doing the cooking class with Cátia. She showed us around the Mercado do Bolhão, explaining the history behind many Portuguese foods. Then she took us back to their beautiful kitchen space where she helped us cook and eat a series of delicious foods. Booking directly through their website was very easy. We booked only a couple days before, and the class was everything we wanted. I’m

We did the cooking class with Cátia and can't recommend it highly enough. She was knowledgeable, warm l, welcoming and friendly. The pastel de natas that we made were delicious and I'm definitely making more now we're home. I would suggest everyone do this. It's terrific value and great fun.

The tour guide cancelled the tour two hours before, no explanation given. When I objected, the tour guide then sent me a message to say that he had given me six hours anticipation, and that was not true. He said he had messaged me with an alternative tour. There is no proof of that. Finally, he said that he had to cancel tours if there was only one person because it was "not economically viable." I have been on a couple tours recently where the tour guides' attitude was "let the show go on," and honored their commitment to host the tour. Book at your own risk.

We did the "Portuguese Cooking Experience with Cátia" through C&D Porto Local Tours. Our evening with Cátia was fantastic! We wandered the market with Catia who provided insight all along the way, which continued all the way back to the beautiful apartment. The cooking experience was great. Catia provided direction, explaining the steps along the way and encouraging involvement in each step. The meal was incredible! Catia was a wonderful host and throughout the evening she provided insight into Portuguese life, culture and food. This is a truly excellent experience and would recommend it to anyone!

We had such an amazing experience at the pastel del nata class. Cat & Ze were fantastic hosts and made the class very entertaining. We can’t wait to get back and share our new found skills with our friends and family. 100% recommend!!!

Went on a walking tour with this company that was just OK. It was billed as a 3 hour tour and ended 30 minutes early and I’m sure there was a lot left to see in the city. The tour also could have gone a lot deeper into history (something I inquired about prior to booking). The worst part is that the owner of this company doesn’t appear very concerned about customer satisfaction or receiving constructive feedback. Rather than apologize, He sent me an angry and defensive response to the honest and constructive review I left - even though I still initially left four stars.

I did the Port Wine Tasting Tour and it was amazing, David is a great guide, he told us a lot of information about Port Wine and from producer to producer the Port Wine got better and better. I ended up buying 4 different bottles of Port after the tour. You will surely find your favourite high quality Port Wine during the tasting. You can't go wrong with this tour, I highly recommend it.

Jose was AMAZING! We had such a lovely time learning and tasting the fantastic Porto! It was a small group, very personalised and had a very familiar vibe which left us feeling like we had made some new friends! We would definitely do the tour again and cannot recommend it enough! You get great value for money and the opportunities to taste a huge variety of local delicious Porto! Thank you Jose for giving us a unique and authentic experience! Next step Sangria workshops!

The tour with David was more like wandering through a magical city with a friend! He was extremely passionate and knowledgeable about Porto, it's people, its history and its culture. We visited streets and places that we may have missed as they are not on the main drags. The visit to the port wine cellar was a real eye-opener for us. Explanations about storage and transportation, as well as learning more about the characteristics and how the wine is classified. David also taught us how to properly taste and appreciate the wine. I highly recommend this trip, David was a fantastic guide and the 3 hours just flew by!
