This is one of the most beautiful natural reservoirs near Gothenburg! With a series of lakes, well marked paths, beautiful scenery and rich in mushrooms in autumn!

It's a beautiful place.... we can give and find many place to camp and barbecue.... you need to walk a Alot to find a perfect place for you.

Favorite playground in town at any season. We enjoyed the hike as well as the view along the tracks. You have options in term of hiking distance, we have tried all the route from the shortest until the longest ( > 20 km). So you can go on easy or difficult route based on your preference.

This area truly is a hidden gem! If you like to walk through nature, you have to visit this place. It's beautiful to walk around or mountainbike, with scenic views. I used to live in Gothenburg and only found out about this place in the end. Still regret not having went there sooner!

Beautiful hiking/bicycling/canoing-area in which you can easily spend a whole day. 1 hour with public transport from Gothenburg.

Vättlefjäll is a perfect place for wildlife experiences just near the city. Rent a canoe at Vättlestugan and spend a night in under wind shelter.

This place is in my "backyard " and I never get tired of it. Perfect little small beaches for 🏊🏾‍♀️ swimming, BBQ pits, picnic tables and benches throughout the reserve. Take some time and come on out!

Great place to relax on the water and go kanooing. We were with 4 people and 2 dogs and we all enjoyed it very much!! Great way to spend easy up to a whole day at the lake without even thinking of time. If you are in the area or want a good time as a turist in the south of Sweden near Gothenburg, go!!! Its worth it!

Beautiful open lake with no admission fee, should be open all weekdays around the clock. lots of setup for barbecue and one of the few lakes allowed to fish without a permit.

As someone who loves nature I'm automatically drawn to this place. It's so scenic and gorgeous!!!

Fantastic scenery, great canoeing, swimming and camping. Ready cut wood at many shelters. Large network of lakes and trails!

Suitable for camping with tent (tält) with your family, friends, coleagues and school friends etc...There is wind protection when you arrive at the place and on the road you can bring wood for barbecue.

Fantastic nature park, close to Gothenburg, can even take the tram there Great trails one is 25k and many shorter ones. Free camping, you can also hire canoes. Prices are good value.

This is a great walk/hike. Once we got lost as we misread the trail and ended up walking more than 25km back to Kungälv. But that was in the winter and it was very dark by the evening.
