Nandan mela is one of the best art and craft fair. It takes place in very own land of Rabindranath Tagore, the poet, the artist, the novelist, the song writer and many more. A must come place for all art and craft lover.

This mela happens every year on the 1st and 2nd of December. The name of this mela came after the name of the first principal of Kala Bhavana Nandalal Basu. His birthday is on 3rd December. This mela is open to all. It starts in the afternoon and closes at 8, officially. The main attraction of this mela is the paintings, printings, sculptures, handmade puppets and installations. Some parts are only for exhibitions. But you can buy different handicrafts also made by the students.

A Historical place to visit at the end of December every year

One of the best fair of art and craft in West Bengal. Visva-Bharati Kala Bhavana arranges this Fair on 1st and 2nd December of every year. The lights , the art works , cultural programs, folk programs gave this fair a higher place. The main motto of the fair is to sell some art craft product, paintings ,sculptures to help the students of Kala Bhavana who are financially not so much strong. This year in 2018 Kala Bhavana celebrates 100 years of their Institution.
