This is a branch of Anandamayi ashram of Haridwar (Kankhal).The area is huge and located just beside Ganga.Inside the area they have main prayer room,Natmancha,Annapurna room,Doctor's chamber, building for guests,Jopgriho,a beautiful garden,pond, stable etc.. Main mandir remains open from 8a.m.-12 p.m and again from 4p.m - 8p.m. Bhog prasad is served here from 1 p.m..You have toh collect the coupon for bhog before 12 o'clock from the cash counter.The cash counter opens at 9 a.m.Coupon price-100.System is very good... Bhog should be taken sitting on the ground..For senior citizens there are table- chair,so don't worry.. Bhog menu is - Pulao,rice,dal,fry, 2 types of sabji,dhoka,chatni,payash,sweets. After taking bhog you can rest on Natmanch and wait for mandir to open on 4 p.m or can sit on the garden and enjoy the beauty of Ganga..The garden is absolutely beautiful..🌼 Route direction - If you are coming by bus the bus stoppage is Agarpara Tetultala.From Tetultala more you can catch a auto or toto and ask driver to drop you at Anandamayi ashram..Very simple route. Visit ashram and feel mentally refreshed.

This place is situated on the Western bank of the Ganga in one end of Kolkata. The Ashram was established here on the 12th April 1958. This has a vast area. On the bank of the Ganga, there is also a metalled ghat (bathing place) constructed by the Ashram and named as "Ma Anandamayee Ghat". On 22nd September, 1960, in the newly-built temples, were installed the marble statue of Baba Bholanath, Ma's picture in the Durga mandapa and the images of Radha Madhava and Sitarama. After some time in April 1982, the marble statue of Shri Muktananda Giriji was installed in a newly built temple. Big festivals like the Birthday function, Durga Puja, Samyam Saptaha were performed in the holy presence of Ma. Durga-Puja is performed here every year. The place is regarded as a tirtha by Ma's numerous devotees in Bengal. A magnificent, new temple of Ma, known as 'Ananda Dhyan Peeth', was also constructed in the Ashram campus during Ma's Centenary Celebration (1995/96). Meditation Camps are held here in vary serene and charged atmosphere. And I'm see this asram my childhood . My grandma and her daughter's and some uncle's are member in this asram . Very well maintained and clean. Everything is under discipline. The maintenance is now way better than before. Very peaceful and green. Whenever I go there I really feel good.

It's really a very peaceful site at Ganga riverbank. The garden of the ashram is filled with seasonal flowers and fruits. A mild cold breeze blows always being situated on the river bank.

Nice palce, there is facility of vogs prasad, for that one has to reach the palce before 11am and purchase the coupon.

Ananda Ashram is a holy place for the devotees of Anandamayee Maa. This ashram is located at Agarpara, West Bengal, India and very near to Kolkata. It is located on the western bank of the river Ganges/Hooghly river with vast land. The ashram started functioning since 1958. There is a beautiful temple with idols of Anandamayee Maa Anandamayee and other idols of Maa Kali. Regular prayers and arati are carried out both morning and evening. Different Hindu festivals are organised at this ashram. The main ashram is at Agarpara with several branches in India , different ciuntries of the world and Bangladesh. There is an arrangement for accommodation of guests in both AC & non AC rooms. But minimum facilities are not available. Rooms and wash rooms and basins are not cleaned properly. Administration authorities are reluctant in this matter. Bhoga are available on payments.

Nice place to worship. One can spend hours seating beside Ganges. Improvement needs in distribution of Bhog prosad.

Holy Hindu worship & meditation place at the bank of Holy river Bhagirathi, In the main temple Maa is with all Gods & Goddesses. A separate is for Maa also. Ashram also have well maintained Goshala. There is a big list of Puja Arati & other holy rituals & activities. Big arrangement done by Ashram on all Hindu Festivals and special days. Ashram provide facilities to celebrate personal birthday, anniversary and other activities. Ashram have guest house having well maintained rooms available for devotees and also for general public with some terms and conditions. All campus is full of greenary, neat & clean peaceful atmosphere

Joy Ma, amazing environment and so clean and so spiritual temple of Sree Sree Ma Anandamoyee Ma an Avatar Of Devi Durga and most importantly all the Ashram staff's are so nice and so friendly. I Loved the visit and looking forward to visit more and more and wish to visit regularly.

This was my first visit to maa's ashram. I can only say you'll find peace. Just a request if you are visiting there for few moments of peace put your mobile on vibration mode. It was really very disturbing when you try to meditate and suddenly some mobile start ringing at its top of voice.

A really peaceful place. Whenever i feel desturbed i go there, sit there silently, gather lots of positivity and peace.
