Best place for nature lovers... One of the place which should be in our bucket list...Good to go with friends👭👬... Beautiful place at it's best...the view is gracious...the steps till temple are quite fun to walk...If ur 1st time visitor don't attempt to go alone for caves trekking as it's too Risky and U may get lost in mountain or in caves, as the roads are tricky... Lost in mountain is still ok but if lost in caves it dangerous... The guides are to generous and very helpful... They take care of you and your trip enjoyment... Don't forget to taste the holy water near the temple... Don't wear ethnic dress U will be not able to cross caves... After some time ur bag and jackets will start irritating you so if possible walk oly with normal dress N phone... Carry water bottle and snacks... Don't keep phone, headphones, water bottle or any thing in hand as monkeys will try snatching it and sometimes they become more violent👊😡👊... For a memorable trip walk with as much as less luggage and proper jeans or any pants t-shirts or shirt... By end of the day ull not able to leave the place and go back as it has a different charm... Do visit and enjoy... But safety first speed next...

First of all, people who are going for cave exploration and trekking, how much ever your jeans company says stretchable, please don't wear jeans. I was a fool to believe the promises 😂. The place is wonderful. Trekking experience was great. Guide was awesome. The charges per person for trekking and Cave exploration was INR 250/- They take cash/phone pay/gpay. If you are going to buy something from there, then you have to pay in cash. So cashless people, please carry some cash (small denomination) so that you don't fall into a difficult situation, finding nearest ATM. There are two caves. One is the dry cave, which is the bigger one. And the other is the water cave. You can stand and move comfortably in the dry cave, but for the water cave, you need to crawl. Also people with claustrophobia, please avoid the water cave. Please make sure you go when there is no rain. It becomes very slippery and you may fall and hurt yourself. Also wear shoes that have a very nice gripping bottom. An advice for the girls out there, please don't wear chappals, sneakers or sandals. It'll make your life hell for sure. I am reiterating: Shoes with good grips are a must! People there are really nice. You'll enjoy your time for sure. Verdict: A must go place for adventure lovers!

Best place for tracking. Cave exploring is an experience by itself. Few tips... Please book only through government websites and take government approved Guide or else you will end up paying towards the end of trip. Water bottle is must.. lots of monkeys so be careful with eatablea. Average time is 6 hrs... To and from.( Only track) Currently having a good flow of waterfall.. so one can enjoy that aswell. Sports shoes recommended. On the way from banglore... You will get lot of idly joints... So enjoy them fresh.

Great place for adventure trek in caves. Make sure to register online for trekking and don't litter the place. Forest department need to be more vigilant in plastic litter made and take proper action on thism

Antharagange cave and water used to be a free trekking spot but now requires registration on the government portal, along with a fee of 303 rupees per person. The trek starts off moderately challenging and gradually ascends, making it relatively easier compared to Savandurga. Wearing proper shoes and carrying enough water is essential. While prices at the top might be a bit higher, it's not as expensive as other places. A local guide will take you through two caves. The first cave involves a simple climb, but the second requires crawling through tight spaces, which may not be suitable for claustrophobic individuals. Afterward, there's a rock that you can climb for great photo opportunities, although it can be slightly risky. Be cautious, as the area is filled with rocks, and accidents can lead to serious injuries. The descent is much easier than the ascent. The guide may ask for a tip, though he's already being paid, so a nominal fee is sufficient. Overall, it's a great place for a day trip, with well-maintained routes leading to the area.

A very adventurous trail. The caves can be found after some trekking and it's better to go in groups to properly explore the caves. To enter the place, you have to reach the temple after climbing the stairs and proceed to the back of the temple, there you can see a small opening in the chain link to go inside with board from Karnataka Government Forest Department. I think you don't have to pay to go up the trail, but if guides see you, they might ask you money to take you up. But the trail is very easy follow along without any help. But like i said in the first place, it's better to go in groups.

Antargange trek has lot to offer; there is a temple, small pond, small water fall, hike trail and two caves; not counting the monkeys. There is plenty of parking is available. From parking there are some stairs to the temple and pond. The trail which goes to the caves and mountain top leads from the left of the pond. There is a small water fall in the start and then the caves towards the top. The hike is easy to moderate. There are two caves on the top; big and small. It is better to take a guide for the smaller one, it is quite tight and better to leave the loose items outside. Over all a must see thing around the Bangalore.

This is beautiful place located in Kolar. The google map location may not be correct. Best way is to go to KSRTC bus stand and take left. This road will take you to Anthragange. Or talk to an Auto walah. It is mainly Hindu religious place but due to natural beauty, many muslim families can be found here. For trekking upto uphill caves, take way through the water stream. Better to take a polythene or bag to pack your shoes. After passing the water stream, you will find dry area to go uphill. There are several caves on top of hill. Guides are generally available for a short tour of the caves. You should plan to be there in morning for a full day trip. Nice view of whole city. Beware of monkeys near the pond, they will snatch bags/eatables. The water may look muddy, but it is natural. Reasonable parking is available in the foothills.

A small and good trek and view point. There are also 2 caves here which is a bit difficult to explore and also to find the way if you're going alone. We went behind people who had hired local guides and could easily find the way. But I don't think there is a requirement for a guide but do not take risks if you're alone. Within the caves its very cool and calm to relax. We reached here after sunset but it looked like the sunset view would have been good. We couldn't find any peak though.

A really nice & easy trek (3km each side). We started at around 6:30am. Once you climb the steps and reach the temple to the left you will have the trek trail. You need a local guide to guide you through the caves which is the most fun part of this trek. Don't carry a big bag a water bottle should be good enough as you can't travel through the book and corners of the caves with a bag Carry a torch if you have but if not a phone torch should be good to go.

Went to visit Temple and Trekking with a Group of 12 people. Please DONT TRUST road which is shown in Google Maps. Google Map took us to the wrong route and we have to spend 1.5 hours finding the correct route. Will try to fix it but good to ask Local. Mandir/Temple is very old and belongs to lord Shiva. It's beautiful temple and very close to Nature Har Har Mahadev. You can spend time there with Lord Shiva. However beware of Monkeys, don't take any food items while climbing to temple. There are around 150 to 200 steps to reach mountain. Ample Parking space for cars and 2 wheelers as well as shoe place as well. We also did Trekking, you have to book ticket via Karnataka Tourism site otherwise Forest people won't let you in. Good to do before hand. Trekking is good, pretty inclined at some places. Good to go in group, you will enjoy it. PLEASE DONT GO WITH SMALL KIDS OR INFANTS. Guide will help us to find way through the caves, it is must needed, there are some narrow places which guide only know way out. If you dear closed space, please avoid it.

The route is clear and easy for beginners. The forest department will provide With a guide who helps for the cave journey. The route begins after crossing a shiva temple at the start and then its a simple climb for a while. Later comes the route to the cave - they are a bit complex to navigate and need expert assistance but is so much fun. The caves are completely in dark, are cooler and give a great experience for first timers. There’s also a cave that has a water flowing within it.. hence the name Antara Gange (internal-Ganga). Beware of monkeys and go early to avoid heat

Good for a short trek. Beware of monkeys, some can be really nasty. Lots of love birds around 😂 Trek is good, short and not too hectic, hard at few places, start in morning otherwise becomes too hot in the afternoon. Good for group outing, but not too good trek for couple or only girls as there were some local people hooting and screeming (out of fun or excitement or whatever).

A very surreal place for nature lovers to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and spend quality time amidst nature and unwind. This place is just around 50km drive from Bangalore in Kolar and the route is very scenic and smooth apart from a small patch that goes through kolar town. They have good parking space so no need to worry about your vehicle. The experience starts with hauling yourself through a long flight of stairs that leads to the temple and these stairs cuts through the forest which makes the experience better. Beware of monkeys so try not to carry any loose food items with you. Once you are done with the temple tour , proceed with the trek. Now before the trek you need to buy the pass online from myecotrip website. Now there is a hack to it, you can directly talk to the guides there , so at the same cost you will get a guided tour and pay the money directly to the guide and believe me you will definitely need a guide for the cave exploration. The trek is an easy one and not that long. The cave exploration though is a very exhilarating experience where you would have to squeeze through multiple holes and crevices which lends a touch of adventure to the whole charade. All in all a must visit .

A very nice place... although trekking is worth going....the guides for cave trekking ( water cave and a regular cave) extorts for money which is like 250/Head ( in Apr 2021) you can definitely bargain to bring it down to 100rs for two people, they will agree. The water cave is extremely small, you will be in and out by 2 mins....I didt visit other cave as it was getting hot. Plan early morning visit to enjoy your time and sunshine.

Went on a weekend early morning to witness this stunning view from the top! They say you get the best view when you go to the top and it was true. Bike lovers, you'll love the 2km uphill and downhill drive, it'll be challenging with the bends, the hairpin bends were too many and it was too steep in few areas. There's one spot where you can stop your bike and click pics and get a full view of the city. The road was not that great in few places and you've to be careful because of the stones and holes. You go to the top and there'll be a guide to take you to the rocks, but, they'll rush you to start from there to take to the caves, once you come back from caves, try spending some time on the rocks, such a peaceful place to relax!

One of the serene and breathtaking views from the top. Have to climb around 100+ steps, a lot of monkeys on the way (be careful 😉). There's a temple at the top. The caves are really huge, dark and risky too. Can't go with family for sure (into caves), so adventurous people this is for you. Good place for a Day out.

You need to book entry tickets for the trek via Karnataka eco tourism website. As of date it's Rs 485/ person on weekends and Rs300 weekdays. Ample parking for 2-4 wheelers available. There is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and temple pond besides. Lot of monkeys around this temple so be careful with your bags and valuables. Behind the temple is entry gate for trek. This trek leads to sunrise point and 2 caves. 1 is a water cave and another is a normal cave. These caves require guides to navigate else it's challenge to scale the rocks and find your way through. Overall it a moderate level trep but worth doing it. We had some memorable experiences and would recommend this place.

This is a thrilling and super experience. It is recommended that you wear grip shoes when climbing rocks. You can feel the fresh air and the atmosphere. Please ensure that you arrive earlier (before 8am). We can spend at least 4 hours. Caves are hard to spot the first time. So you might need a local guide.

Antara Gange (also known as Anthargange) is a mountain situated in the Shathashrunga mountain range in the southeastern portion of the Indian state of Karnataka, Kolar district. Antara Gange literally means "Ganges from deep" in Kannada. It is about two miles from the town of Kolar and seventy kilometers from Bangalore. Antara Gange is famous for Sri Kashi Vishweshwara temple, also known as Kashi of South. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. In the temple is a pond which gets a continuous flow of underground water from the mouth of a Basava (stone bull). It is believed that drinking water from the pond cleanse one from many diseases. Way to Antar Gange caves is a steep and narrow path behind the temple to top of the mountain. The caves are 3-4 km from the temple. The mountain consists of granite rocks and lot of caves around. Trekking in and around caves is popular here. It's important to note that cave exploration in the Antargange region should be conducted with the assistance of a knowledgeable guide and prior permission from the forest department. This precaution not only ensures safety but also helps in preserving the natural beauty and ecological balance of the area.

One of the best places to go in a group having a similar interest in hiking or cave exploration. I went there early morning around 5am and started the journey upward (didn't know that at night due to wild animals, entry is restricted).. Since I am sharing this with you all so probably I am safe and came back alive 😉. Lot to explore Lot to experience, But I would suggest to make your own. What are u waiting for in here.. Go and explore yourself.. Stay safe and be amazed!!!

It's a good Trek and it was fun to explore the caves. but ticket cost is too high and plastic bottles I can see. No proper use of the ticket money in the cleanliness section.

The fact that they have made this trek chargeable is the worst thing about Antharagange. We had been here a few years ago without any money involved since it’s a natural place. Now they charge approximately 485₹ per person which is to be paid online only. 485 seems almost like a scam where you don’t really get any facilities in return. Apart from that, the trek was really good. There are guides present who will help with the cave tour. Guides will also ask for some money. There is also a temple which is not charged. You will be charged for shoe keeping though. Trek level: easy - moderate. Cave exploration was slightly difficult but fun. View at the top was good too. Worth a visit.

Trek is very easy . Anyone can do it. The only thing is climbing to that caves. To go inside the caves you need to be fit. And you can’t go without any guide because you may get lost. Sometimes the guide would be lazy and ask you to go alone but please don’t go without guide . You will definitely get lost or you may not see the caves . Those two caves are the best thing in that trek. parking facility is available . And you need to book before you go there. The booking will be close for that day at 9AM so you need to book before online through karnataka eco tourism page. For weekday the amount is 250 and for weekend 500. Don’t get cheated by any commercialised trek companies from Bangalore and on your own to save money 😌

Antaragange Caves and Water is a unique tourist destination located in Kolar district, Karnataka, India. I recently visited this place and was amazed by its natural beauty and the thrilling experience it offered. It was fascinating to explore the caves, crawl through narrow passages, and admire the intricate carvings on the rocks. Overall, Antaragange Caves and Water is a must-visit destination for adventure enthusiasts, nature lovers, and anyone who wants to experience the natural beauty and serenity of Karnataka.

Great place. The Trek is easy but the cave exploration is a bit hard. You have to sometimes crawl in the water (Water cave) with so little space and sometimes slide and jump, blindly on the rocks. My advice would be to trek all you want but donot go inside caves without a local guide. The price is included in the eco tourism ticket but they might demand extra so talk it out to them first. If you're up for an adventure then cave exploration here is all you need

Went early in the morning to go for a Trek. It takes about 1.5-2Hr to get to the top, covering up 2 of the Water caves. Really great experience.

The climb is good and there is a cave at the top which is a must visit place. Take someone who knows the place or who has already been there because it is a kind of maze, it takes around 2 hours to climb to the peak and come back if someone knows the cave well, it's a great experience one should have in their lifetime

  • 4/5 Saurabh S. 5 months ago on Google
Short hike to the caves, exploring them was super fun! Guide recommended and also, start early on in the day so that harsh sun does not bother you. Great experience overall

Trek is an easy one. After you reach the top, there are 2-3 caves. That was an amazing experience. A guide is required if you are going through the caves.

Amazing place for a weekend trek. Caves are the most interesting , you can hear the water running along and it gets very thin at some points which is thrilling. Recommend.

This was my first caving experience. I would say i was thrilled to be part of this. This was a very good break from the regular trekking experiences i have had. the caves were pretty difficult to wade through and that made it all the more thrilling. we combined this with rappelling down a huge rock. Overall it was a very good experience. A nice option for a day's picnic for Bangaloreans. You have to book online for trekking. It cost around 400per person Pros 1. View from the top and the accomplishment you feel after reaching it 2. Slid between rocks thick enough to pass by 3 Jump from one boulder to another where you can not miss the jump or else you will fall straight down 4. Move in the dark inside a cave where you have no idea about the destination and torch is your only friend Cons: 1. Challenging 2. Will test your physical strength Advice: 1. There will be guides wanting to take you to the caves for a mere sum of money(150 INR). TAKE THEM ALONG 2. Wear sport shoes and loose clothing 3. Cap
