Antara Gange sits on top of a small hill but it takes some effort to climb it :) There is plenty of parking space and small shops selling snacks and water bottles. Please carry water with you and also don't forget to carry a small backpack or carry a bag with you to store your valuables. There are literally hundreds of monkeys there. They can steal not just food items but your valuables as well. So be careful with ur glasses, phones etc. They don't usually bother humans unless you have anything edible in your hand. There is a trail for trekkers that takes you to caves and a viewpoint. It's not very long but there are big boulders and one needs to be careful. You can hire a guide but the trail is usually closed by 5 so if you plan to visit the best time is to go there in the morning. It's an excellent one day trip from Bengaluru. The hills are surrounded by boulders and tree cover. It's a scenic place. Please visit once.

Everything is good, but 300 + for eco trucking is not acceptable, Karnataka govt just looting money from hindu temples is not acceptable . Shame shame on govt

The place has been a natural trekking but now it's more like a money making concept. The actual trekking is just 1 km for which you need to pay Rs 250 per person. From entrance you will find paid parking space, enough for 4 wheeler. Many small shops selling toys to food. Soon thn you will hit stairs close to 1.7 km till the main temple and entrance to actual trekking. There are people asking to register online and get inside, or else they will block you.

Temple is serene and beautiful, required to climb few 100 steps to reach from bottom. Full of nilgiri trees and monkeys in hill top. Ample car parking space, charge 30 rupees with no ticket by private person. Person before temple chargs 5rs per chappel pair , which is not reasonable but also doest look from temple authority but a private guy. Not much crowded even during holidays, but it is better to reach in the morning or early evening as climbing steps for elders might be stressful during afternoon. Water and snacks stalls here are overpriced. Only concern is lot of local people roam around without any business especially near mosque at entrance of temple hill bottom. May not be safe during late evening or night visits.

Antaragange is situated at a distance of 70 km from Bangalore. Antaragange is an excellent example of nature’s creativity. Strewn with rocks and boulders, Antaragange has some excellent caves that have formed from volcanic rocks. So if you are fond of cave exploration and trekking, Antaragange is the perfect place for a weekend getaway. With a fairly easy terrain for trekking and cave exploration, Antaragange offers an enjoyable weekend in the lap of nature.

They have put up 250 INR/head fee for a hike which was free 2 years back. There are these guys I'm khaki who sit around doing nothing and will not let you hike on your own. I understand regulations are necessary but 250Rs per head seems unreasonable.

The treck is awesome .. i am uploading 2 pictures of some tour guide who are impersonating the forest officer and have been collecting 200 to 500 per person. They are just guides and will be telling there's an entry fee (you can hire them as a guide by paying a small amount - they will help you locate the caves easily) The entree is free, they cannot force you to pay, as it is not required / registered by the government.

Best temple on hill and a water falls near by the pond. Very divine place. Really liked it although too many monkeys are there and you need to take care of your belongings while walking on the steps. The temple and it's surroundings are worth visiting.

If you guys going there I recommed to hire a guide , he'll help you go through wonderful caves and take you to the top of the hills. With out guide it's impossible to find and pass through the caves... He may charge extra for top hill trekking but its all all worth it.....

At some places in caves, you have to crawl which feels very good. Worth visiting. You can have the guide at 250 for 4 people. Beware of monkeys too.

Went here with kids just for the cave adventure. All 5 kids from 3yrs to 15 loved the adventure and would like to go again for the more treacherous cave that everyone there spoke about.

One of the best time .. Cave passing was exceptionally good , one must try. Recommended for everyone to keep a guide , it's not possible to pass through caves without a local guide... Local guide will charge for hill top trek , don't think twice just go for it , it's all worth it ( you cam negotiate bit if you are in good numbers) All in one ... It's trip to be remembered.
