A Nice place if you are beginner in trekking. Just a 2km overall climb. There is a "water fall" at the bottom of the mountain near the parking and a Shiva temple midway (priests claim to be 400 years old). Lot of monkeys in the surrounding so careful with eatables. After the temple there's a gate with few forest officials, they ask you to book online, just google e booking Antargange, at present tickets are ₹250 per adult and ₹120 for teenagers with school or college ID. Booking hardly takes a minute. After booking don't forget to take the guide with you. You will definitely need a guide to thread through the caves on top hassle free. Caves are crazy inside, you gotta be fit to squeeze through those rocks. Beautiful experience, something about the mountains, not just physical exercise, the Air cleanses everything, it feels peaceful. Its just around 30km from KGF and around 60km from Bengaluru. Good one day trip. Best to go early so that you can see the sunrise. Bookings stop at 4pm. Avoid taking local guides, some don't have an idea about complete terrain, take a government assigned guide. Sometimes they might fool you into telling that they have a guy on top, take the guide with you from the temple spot if you book online.

The temple is nice Don't have much to comment on the temple. A place must go for the trek. It's about 2.5km of trek to the caves. Takes about 30min to climb if you are fit. Trek was manageable even though it had rained heavily the previous day. Beautiful flow of stream from the top of the hill along the trek route. Very fat people will find it very different to go between the rocks. Have to navigate though small spaces. If you do not have a group to follow. I would advice u to hire a guide. The banner at the start of the treck says you can book the guide online and it costs 250rupees per person. You will find guides approach you at the base of the trek. Bargain as much as you can. It's not worth 250. I wouldn't recommend paying anything more than 150 per person. There is nothing for the guide to explain. You need the guide only to show you the route though the caves. So you don't need the guide if you have a group ahead of you. It's a half day trip from Bangalore. People visit the place only on weekends. Not sure if it will be open on weekdays as there is a gate which can be closed to avoid entry to the trek route.

Nice place to take a break from the city and go for a moderate hike. There are two caves and plenty of rocks to explore. View from the top is amazing. It's part of the Karnataka eco trails. So book you slot either before hand and once u reach there. Guides are present to take you through the trails.

An awesome 1 day trek and beautiful scenery which is about 60 kms from central Bangalore. There is a Temple that you can visit or else, you can go trekking. Trekking needs to be registered by booking online. Sometimes if you are lucky, you can get entry by paying the guards and guides at the entrance of the trekking. It’s better to reach the place as early as possible. Start your trek at 5:30 or 6 so that you can finish most of the climbing region before sunrise. It has amazing views and caves. There are 2 caves that the guides will take you to. One is a cave with long distance trek. Say 200 mts. The other one is difficult where you may have to loose your bags as you will have to crawl and remove your footwear as the ground has water flowing. The place has nice views for photographs and video shooting. You get food at the beginning of the trek, at the entrance of the temple gate. The place has a huge crowd of monkeys so, beware of your belongings getting stolen. If you visit the temple there is a person to take care of your footwear from monkeys stealing them. You have enough parking space for both 2 and 4 wheelers so, you don’t have to worry about parking. Food is available at the top of the trek with some cucumbers and tender coconut. If you wish to have food before the trek, there are multiple small shops that will help you with good food. Overall it’s a best one day visiting place near Bangalore.

Antara Gange (also known as Anthargange) is a mountain situated in the Shathashrunga mountain range in the southeastern portion of the Indian state of Karnataka, Kolar district. Antara Gange literally means "Ganges from deep" in Kannada. It is about two miles from the town of Kolar and seventy kilometers from Bangalore. Antara Gange is famous for Sri Kashi Vishweshwara temple, also known as Kashi of South. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. In the temple is a pond which gets a continuous flow of underground water from the mouth of a Basava (stone bull). It is believed that drinking water from the pond cleanse one from many diseases. Antara Gange temple Way to Antar Gange caves is a steep and narrow path behind the temple to top of the mountain. (Now, the entry to the caves is restricted) The caves are 3-4 km from the temple. There are seven villages on this mountain, including Therhalli. The mountain consists of granite rocks and lot of caves around. Trekking in and around caves is popular here. But if you want to do trekking here you need to book it before came to here and it costs 350 to 500 per person. I don't know why they charges for trekking. Nature is for everyone but those people not allow you to go up to the hills without pay. From Kolar Bus stand to Antaragange is just 2 to 3 Km distance but if you want to go buy Auto you need to pay 150 Rs or 30Rs per person. In Antaragange Hills you can see so many monkeys. There will be more chances that monkeys will attack the people. So visitors need to be more careful and Don't behave like monkey infront of monkeys.

Nice short trip to Antara Gange, famous Shiva kings temple under the Kolar mountains. There is unknown source stream falling at this shrine called Ganga water. Water is good and sweet, small tank built. Lot of monkeys on the way and it is well in groups to attack your foods from your hand or bags., do not open in front of them and it is gone. Parking place available and restrooms in the top. Overall good nearby place from Bangalore.

Antargange trek has lot to offer; there is a temple, small pond, small water fall, hike trail and two caves; not counting the monkeys. There is plenty of parking is available. From parking there are some stairs to the temple and pond. The trail which goes to the caves and mountain top leads from the left of the pond. There is a small water fall in the start and then the caves towards the top. The hike is easy to moderate. There are two caves on the top; big and small. It is better to take a guide for the smaller one, it is quite tight and better to leave the loose items outside. Over all a must see thing around the Bangalore.

Anthargange, a picturesque hill range near Bangalore, is one of the most spectacular sites around Bangalore. There are many caves made of rocks in this area. This is a fantastic location for adrenaline seekers because you can go on a trek, try rock climbing, and go caving. This location is ideal for a one-day journey from Bangalore for people interested in spelunking, as the rock formations have developed multiple caves worth investigating. This magical beauty makes it one of the top spots to visit in Bangalore. Trekking and caving are popular activities. Stay at the New Sri Shanti Sagar Hotel, Zion Hills Golf Country, Ruby Homestay, Best Western Plus, or Golden Amoon Resort.

Moderate hiking around 2km (Total 4km up and down) and 3-4hrs of time. They charge you 250/person for hiking. And best time to travel would be in winter season ig because in summer you’ll be exhausted.

The starting point of the Antharagange trek is well-maintained, but be cautious of the monkeys in the area that may attempt to grab your food. At the beginning of the trek, you might encounter beggars. They charge a reasonable 20 bucks for bike parking. As you ascend the steps, you'll arrive at a Shiva Linga temple, which holds a divine atmosphere. Despite the initial inconveniences, it's an excellent place to visit, especially if you appreciate the spiritual ambiance. Antharagange cave and water used to be a free trekking spot but now requires registration on the government portal, along with a fee of 303 rupees per person. The trek starts off moderately challenging and gradually ascends, making it relatively easier compared to Savandurga. Wearing proper shoes and carrying enough water is essential. While prices at the top might be a bit higher, it's not as expensive as other places. A local guide will take you through two caves. The first cave involves a simple climb, but the second requires crawling through tight spaces, which may not be suitable for claustrophobic individuals. Afterward, there's a rock that you can climb for great photo opportunities, although it can be slightly risky. Be cautious, as the area is filled with rocks, and accidents can lead to serious injuries. The descent is much easier than the ascent. The guide may ask for a tip, though he's already being paid, so a nominal fee is sufficient. Overall, it's a great place for a day trip, with well-maintained routes leading to the area.

Good view from the hill. There are steps to the temple and the you can still climb to the top of the hill. We haven't went to the cave but went near to that. It was a good level 1 tracking experience. The view of the town is good from the hill. Make sure you are carrying water from the foothill itself as there is no shop after that.

It's a beautiful trek to which I went. There are 2 caves and one view point. We started the morning at 4:30 in Bangalore, then we reached by 6 and had some idle, Vada and puri doesn't eat outside food; they are using used oil, and they will charge for byke and car also. And for trekking per head, 450 or 480, not sure, and tax extra. The cave on the left side will take time, but it's easy; the one on the right side is very difficult for fat people. I suggest you don't visit that cave, and the view point is also good.

Great place to visit if you want to try out some caves and check your flexibility 😂 it's interesting up in caves. Tickets- you have to book the tickets in the Karnataka eco tourism website else you are not allowed. They are very strict up there. It costs around 490 per head, which seems over priced for this trek. Food - There are no good food places nearby, you go far, though there are snacks that you can munch after the trek. Timings- I visited on the weekend and there wasn't any time limit to enter, but suggestions would be to visit before 11:30PM. This place has a lot of monkeys, so be careful.

Been to this place a while back. Place has transformed completely. I remember a small temple with a quick walk etc. now it has become a tourist spot - and everything else what a tourist spot can get!! Due to all the rains, we had some streams around and we spent some time in these places. A must visit place from Bangalore 🙏🏼👍

Exciting and challenging trek- the climb is fine, but the caves are something completely unexpected. We haven't seen any reviews and just went to discover. It was a great experience Carry- reusable water bottles, some snack bar You can buy some cucumbers and buttermilk after you reached a point on the climb. That was like a blessing
