A
hotel
restaurant
that
has
some
great
potential
but
was
lacking
a
little
in
delivery.
The
setting
itself
is
lovely
with
a
good,
if
a
little
vacant
atmosphere
during
our
midweek
visit.
Nice
outside
bar
terrace
to
compliment
the
interior.
The
staff
were
courteous
and
generally
attentive.
The
food
however
was
not
up
to
the
standard
expected
for
the
price
paid
with
some
basics
not
satisfied.
With
the
bread
and
olives,
there
was
a
selection
of
bread
rolls
to
choose
from,
however
the
bread
appeared
cooked
from
frozen,
wasn't
served
warm
and
the
butter
and
olives
were
straight
from
the
fridge.
Taste
was
generally
pleasant
but
some
minor
tweaks
would've
gone
further.
The
starters
were
pleasant,
we
had
a
soup
and
the
mixed
bao
buns.
The
boa
buns
tasted
ok,
but
also
didn't
appear
freshly
prepared
with
the
fillings
for
the
three
varieties
(vegetable,
ox
and
shrimp)
all
in
similar
preformed
patties.
Main
course
was
also
adequate
but
nothing
special.
The
rice
with
the
salted
cod
was
a
little
overpowering
for
the
dish
with
the
mint
and
tomato
a
bit
strong
for
the
cod.
The
risotto
The
menu
itself
was
concise
but
of
a
good
variety
for
the
style
of
the
restaurant.
The
cutlery,
plating
and
crockery
were
all
to
a
good
standard
and
suited
the
environment.
With
a
few
strong
local
contenders,
it
feels
there's
a
bit
of
work
to
be
done
for
the
price
of
the
dishes,
but
may
have
just
been
what
I
ordered.
