Dr. Shinaman significantly reduced my neck pain so much so I decided to hold off on scheduling surgery. He listened to where I was having pain and developed a very creative/innovative monthly treatment plan along with prescribing necessary daily medications. As a result, my pain reduced to a manageable level and my quality of life has much improved. I would highly recommend Dr. Richard Shinaman and the Pain Medicine Consultant team!

Dr. Shinaman wasted 7 months of my time trying to get a procedure approved and at the last minute decided he wasn't going to accept my insurance. This is after he told me to my face that he would make an exception for me and accept my insurance. It's funny, he has no problem accepting out of pocket patients (I had procedures done that I paid for personally) but still turned me away, so unprofessional. Greed wins out unfortunately.

Dr. Longton is caring, thoughtful and caring. On the other hand Dr. Shinamen does not follow-up, he promised a call to me after paying over 2k in non covered insurance, he treated me 3 times and seemed reliable, but that call back never came, after multiple calls from me to his office, his admin always had an excuse, I'm very disappointed in Shinamens follow-up, just shameful. I Monia Stark-Smith had an appt with the P.A. Brook, today, as scheduled, from the Pleasant hill office. Before I had appts with Sarah. My next appt in November is with Dr. Kalra who I had initially was seeing more than 15 years plus, for specialized epidurals, diagnosis, etc. I highly recommend PMC, the staff at the reception area, to the medical techs, To the billing department are highly professional, courteous, educated, great bedside manner, very accommodating for an appointment needed, and a successful care plan needed. They all know what each department are coordinating for each patient, which makes the entire pain mngnt experience feel well handled.by experts. Again, as I recommend everyone I know and meet at various dr. Offices looking for a highly skilled pain mgmt office, I always recommend Dr,. KALRA, P.A.’s Brook snd Sarah, and the pleasant hill office. I have been to other pain mgmt dr.s , in the past, and no other pain mgmt dr/staff, even begin to compare with the excellence of PMC. Dr. Longton treated me for months long daily headaches. He diagnosed the issue and recommended a treatment plan which included occipital nerve blocks. The treatment was successful and I haven’t experienced headaches in the past several months.
