The service was slow and careless. The portions were big, but the taste was not better than mediocre. Some of my wings were juicy and tasty, but some of them tasted like plastic. The amount of blue cheese on top was impressing tho. The pictures was deceiving, the inside didn’t look like in the pictures, it was more like a underground bar.

Here's my Johnny Cash burger...that was missing the BBQ sauce, came out well done (ordered medium) and the onion rings looked and tasted a day old. Don't get me started on the fries.

We had a lot of fun here! The atmosphere was alive, the art on the walls was retro-progressive and all of it seemed to be for sale. I ordered a veggie burger and my super sexy fiance had the Buffalo fries. I was surprised how delicious it all was for bar food, lol. When we go back I want to try their boozy shakes!

Good burger spot with large portions. Our server was super friendly and patient as our group of 4 arrived at varying times due to traffic and wet weather. She was also happy to bring beer and wine samples to my 2 friends who were undecided. They have a decent sized parking lot but it's mixed pavement and gravel.

My new favorite bar for literally anything. The service was some of the best I've ever had and they served food to match! I had their wings (yes they fry the whole wing for you!!!) and fried chicken tacos. I would have order more after the first batch if my stomach had the room for it. They were just that good! My coworkers had the Johnny Cash burger which is one of their specialties here. They fell in love with the first bite. I wish I was staying closer to this place so I could try more of their food. Can't wait to go back. You will definitely need to check this place out if you're ever in the area!

Amazing bartender. We ordered two burgers with fries and salad, as long with drinks. The burgers were so cold, and buns were not even toasted. Do yourself a favor and go to McDonald’s and get yourself a nice, hot burger for 1/3 of the price you’ll pay here.

If i had to describe this place, i would call it a "5 Star Dive Bar." We had a couple of appetizers to start. The Poutine (deep fried cheese curds over fries and a gravy) was delicious. The appetizer Mac n Cheese was great as well. For our dishes we had the True Bleu burger and the Duck Burger. They're huge and you can tell the patties are hand made. The duck burger was great. It had a lot of different flavor profiles goin on. I love Blue Cheese. The True Bleu Burger at the Broderick Roadhouse is not only one of the best blue cheese and bacon burgers I've ever had, but it is without a doubt one of the best burgers ive ever had. I ordered it mid rare and it came out perfect. Thick bacon, lots of blue cheese, onion crisps, and a nice soft bun. I highly reccomend this place. I dont drink, but they had a lot of good local beers on tap as well. The waitress we got was very good too.

Came by about an hour before closing with a big appetite. The two of us ordered: -colossal wings -johnny cash burger -gold rush burger I had asked for the wings to not have blue cheese, but they accidentally still included it. Luckily, there wasn't a whole lot of it, so I was able to scrape most of it off. Wings were cooked well. Burgers here are great! I personally had the gold rush burger and it was so good! Next time, I'll see if they can sub the fried onion rings for raw onions. I think that was be super good! Fries were cooked to perfection as well. Excited to be back in the near future! Lots of parking on the lot.

Pretty disappointed. First the waitress delivered food to another table and walked next to my table and said "I really hate people today" about 20 feet from the table she just took food to. The bartender saw I heard and said don't worry she won't be your waitress. Yikes. The desperado fries and Johnny Cash burger were what I was craving. The 3 times I ordered that in midtown was outstanding. This time the fries were over cooked, the pepper and onions were greasy and there was no sauce or cheese. The waitress explained they don't do the sauce anymore but the menu and website say pepper jack cheese. There was no cheese. Just over cooked fries and meat and greasy onions. It was dry. The hamburger also had no cheese, it was dry and lackluster, worse than fastfood for double the price. At midtown the burger was so big you couldn't fit into your mouth. This one was flat and dry. Also I ordered salad and they brought me fries. They did correct it. I was very very disappointed. Was not a $50 meal.

Just wasted 20 bucks on wings. How to you serve soggy wings? They say they are fried but definitely didn’t hit any oil. Under cooked , runny pink juices and horribly served, even kinda cold. Service was wonderful tho

Went to the West Sac location for my birthday, and ordered the fish tacos that I had loved at the L street location (now closed). Was not the quality I remembered, did not look or taste very fresh - they were just"okay". I didn't get violently ill, but I was definitely not well a few hours later. The empty restaurant and flies pestering us should have been a warning...

If traditional American comfort food is what you crave, you’ll find it at the Broderick Roadhouse. This laid-back eatery with country-style decor makes all their dishes from scratch using high quality, all-natural ingredients. While the main attraction on the menu is the high-stacked burgers, there are a range of appetizers and sandwiches available as well. Vegetarians and vegans can enjoy any burger on the menu with a veggie patty instead of a beef patty. The beverage menu offers plenty of options, including a range of carefully-selected, local craft beers.

Overpriced. Shoddy signage & run-down exterior condition of the building is indicative of what my crew was served. Suggest their kitchen invest in a Thermapen & digital clock for then perhaps their product will be correctly cooked to order & be presented in a timely manner. Big turn offs were soggy fries, having lipstick residue on beverage glasses & seeing staff wearing tank tops... so unprofessional & nobody appreciates having open armpits near plates of overpriced improperly-cooked food that took an hour to receive. Tip of the trade: businesses where the owner & staff park their vehicles closest to the front door are businesses where customers are treated as peasants while the owner & staff parade as kings. Won't be back.

Let's start with the atmosphere. If you're looking for a place that is new and modern that's not your place. This place is more geared towards neighborhood people. I had the Johnny Cash hamburger which consists of I think it was double Patty with bacon and barbecue sauce plus fries and a Coke. Which cost $19 dollars. Which I think was overpriced, since there are so many other places selling hamburgers. The service was great since there were not many people there. There is a no alcohol at this time they're waiting for their new license, since Under New Management. But this is just my opinion give the place a try. And then tell me what you think. PS where bulletproof vest, just kidding.

Had a great experience for my first time. Staff is very welcoming. I had the True Bleu Burger that was a perfect medium rare with a side salad. Will definitely go back to try more thats on their menu

The absolute best reben I've ever had in my life. Amazing amount of sauce and quality meat and bread. They've made a fan of Porchlight Brewing having Mintal Heath now my new favorite stout. The food quality was so high as I also tried my daughter's cheese steak, my sons chicken sandwich, and my wife's cat fish sandwich. Such a hidden gem i recently found. Will try to get back here as often as possible.

My goodness the food here was excellent. The house made pickles are so good. I got the Reuben (I smoke my own pastrami so I’m very picky) was probably the best sandwich I have ever eaten. I was blown away. Service was great as well. 100% recommend!

Beautiful art work done on the outside of the building and inside is a rustic bar feeling, which we liked. Arrived around lunch time, it wasn't very busy. The service was excellent and food was amazing! Definitely will be returning.

We used to love this place. When it first opened years ago. The food was amazing, and always left you wanting more. We had dinner last night for the first time in about 4 years and it was just terrible. The food was terrible, and the service wasn't great. We ordered the Reuben and the Johnny Cash Burger. The Reuben came out extremely tuff, to the point where we were struggling to chew, and was on a bun instead of rye bread. I ordered the Johnny Cash Burger medium and it came out rare. Ended up being a $75 check for two subpar burgers and an appetizer. Let's just say that we were less than impressed by the food as well as service, and just talked about how we probably weren't going to be coming here anymore. But, that's not why I'm writing this review. The decision to write this review came from the third strike. And the third strike was that not 30 minutes after leaving Broderick's I began feeling ill, and nauseous. I ended up getting food poisoning and being up all night and had to call in sick the next morning. So all in all, save your money, save your time, and save your stomach some pain and just go to In N Out down the road.

We have to drive pretty far to visit Broderick's so their burgers must be good and they are! I had the turkey burger on our last visit. It was juicy and very tasty covered in cheese, their homemade ranch dressing and BACON! Mary Margaret had the duck burger. It was delicious! The fries are extra crispy because they fry them twice. We love them. We also tried the Banh MI fries which were really good. They are good and the serving size is almost big enough to make a meal out of on their own. We also tried the fried cauliflower. It was just fair. Our server was very good. He made sure we had everything we needed and was very friendly.

Great burgers for a price. This is a type of restaurant that you get what you pay for. The meals are about $15 a piece but it is great food and well worth it. They also offer doordash. Great selection of beer from locals to name brand. This is my second visit to this particular restaurant my third overall which was downtown Sacramento. I highly suggest the RAD BloodyMarry if you're into Bloody Mary's. Great environment that is a bit light challenged. Another words it's a bit dark in there but makes the atmosphere really really cool. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful with a great sense of humor. This is definitely a must-try if you're just passing through or if you're a regular. I will certainly be back again. This was my first time attempting the Johnny Cash burger and I must say that it was extremely good. I could not finish all of it however. Garlic fries are off the hook.

Came for an early lunch on a Saturday since we found ourselves in West Sac. The food was super good and the service was wonderful! Good menu options available, and a good a amount and variety of beer on tap to choose from. We got the pulled pork bahm mi and the buffalo cauliflower, our food came out quick and was very tasty. We'll definitely be back.

Can't say enough good things about Rodricks roadhouse. It has become one of my favorite restaurants. The drive from Woodland to eat here every couple of weeks. I haven't been let down yet

First time there from outside you don't expect it to see nice bar and grill. The young lady who takes your order handled the entire restaurant on her own and never missed a beat. I had the chicken sandwich which was very good my Lemon drop was soo good. Definitely will be back.

Stopped in for an early lunch on Saturday and found they had a weekend brunch menu as well. Chicken and waffles were excellent. The chicken was boneless, which I'm good with when adding syrup to my fried chicken and want to use a fork, waffle fluffy. The menu overall had lots of delicious looking options. Good beer selection. The attitude, service and effort of the staff was top notch. The outside says roadhouse all the way, the inside while clean and roomy had most of the original structure in an awesome throw back feel. I wondered if Hunter S. Thompson had once visited this location during his experiences of 1965-67. I'm looking forward to returning and trying the duck burger.

I came here on a rainy Friday when there wasn't much traffic. But as an out of towner I thought it was gem of a place. Nice setup for people who wanted either high tables, traditional tables or a bar seat. The TVs were conveniently placed and my food was great! Only thing is that they were under new leadership so still waiting on their liquor license but that's sounded like it was coming real soon. The waitress/hostess was awesome 👍🏿.

Every time I’ve been here, it is always absolutely delicious! Hands down the BEST vegan burger in Sacramento. I’m often picky about vegan burgers and avoid them for the most part. But their vegan burgers remind me of the real thing. I also love the dine in experience. The atmosphere is welcoming and the waiters are attentive and friendly. Will always be a customer here!

The best burger around, the uniqueness of this place is worth the visit. Apparently this place has been closed since COVID but recently reopened, the staff is friendly and very helpful. The food is amazing, kind of a hole in the wall place that looks unattractive from the outside but don't let that fool you. Awesome!

Our server, Tarah was awesome. Friendly, great beer recommendations, and excellent service. Fun food options for people looking for something different. I, however, got the Ruben because in house corned beef always gets bonus points. Not as good as moms, but did the job for me!

The wife and I had a great experience here. The food was all very good, and the drink selection is pretty large. Especially if you like Craft Beer (and I do)... For food, I got the Chili Burger which had good size and flavor. The Chili had a little spice and was thick enough that you could actually pick up the burger to eat it. Instead of using a knife/fork. I also got the Garlic Fries, and they were well made and full of flavor. My wife got the Fried Chicken Burger, which she really enjoyed. And she got the Banh Mi Fries, which according to her are among the best Fries she's ever had. She loves them. So, if you like Fries/Burgers, this might be a good option for you.

First timer here! We got the biscuits and gravy, grilled cheese and bison burger, as well as the cider on tap. All was absolutely excellent and we would 10/10 recommend this restaurant again! Service was also fast and friendly!

The salted caramel boozy milkshake is 🔥 AF. Had a burger with lamb instead of beef and was fantastic as ever.... but did I mention the boozy milkshake though??? The other drinks were spot on as well. Service was exceptional. The ambiance was casual yet elevated. Amazing art on display. Finishing off this review with my take on the restrooms. Yes the restrooms. Give me a couple Caps, a whip it or 2 and bang! Just like that I could get lost for a few hours in that restroom and actually be happy about it. Broderick Roadhouse is the only restaurant I will ever mention a restroom in my review due to it being pretty wild. Especially after that delicious boozy milkshake.

Best burgers I've had in Sacramento! If your visiting from out of town you better stop here or else your missing out. I had the Johnny cash burger and it was DIVINE. I will be dreaming about this places burgers for awhile.

Service at the bar was excellent. Server was attentive and friendly. The sandwich I ordered was well seasoned and a pretty good size for the cost. The side of fries went perfectly with it. I’d definitely come back.

Always great burgers and overall just a fun spot. Glad that they reopened and that the pandemic didn’t claim another awesome local spot. It’s my understanding. Their owner passed away recently, so my condolences to the Broderick family.

Have had better margaritas at other places. Very small portion for price. All ice. Food good but well done burger was rare. They glady remade. Fries good. Mac and cheese not to my liking.

The dining area is grungy, including the sticky carpet and dirty tables. We ordered the Reuben, and it was terrible; the fries weren't good either. Sadly to say, we won't be returning.

Anytime I go to Broderick's, my guy knows what I want to order - Lamb burger medium well. This is by far one of the best burgers in Sacramento. The melted goat cheese, with the roasted tomato, and the perfectly seasoned lamb patty is just amazing. All you need to ask for extra is their house made pickles. I always come back for this burger, might switch it up for some fried fish tacos, but this burger is all you need to try to fall in love with this spot. Friendly staff, good amount of TV's to watch the Kings games, and other sport games. Burger itself I'll give it a 9.4/10.

Delicious burgers, and my wife and I split a burger, and the portions of fries with ½ a half-pound burger were plenty big. Best Mac n cheese I've ever had. Great service, and it was quick, too.

Burger was awesome, although (even though I asked) not as rare as I would have preferred. Buffalo fries were off the chart (and I can usually take the heat) and the salted caramel milkshake was a hit with the whole family. Bring an appetite.

I ate dinner here with friends on a Friday night. The exterior of the restaurant was quite dark, but inside it was vibrant and busy. It took a while for our orders to be taken; our server went by memory, rather than writing anything down. The food came out quickly, and everything was right, apart from the dressings on two of the side salads. We each got burgers/sandwiches, which were very tasty. Later we had to flag our server down to get some silverware, so we could enjoy our salads. I wish, during the course of our meal, that we had been offered drink refills. After eating, it was a pretty long wait for both receiving and paying the bill, but overall, it was a decent experience eating here.
